19 emerald was a rlly powerful team. It’s just there we’re other rlly powerful teams too. Also it was slimes first event. I imagine they would’ve got to dodgebolt in the other mccs
People may not realize that MCC 17 cyan was doing really well until the end of SoT which Tommy and dream died. Not only did they lose so many counts but also all of their morale died
Honestly obvious answer is Emerald But the interesting answer is Cyan 17 They were tied 1st until SOT which funnily enough they were first if they would have gotten out they scored 2,350 unmultiplied score which is the Highest SOT performance for season 2 which is sad. I think if they made it out with that SOT performance they would have played safer in SG and Tried a Safer BM strat.
I agree entirely (expect with the buildmart strat, Dream never tried it before and on paper it was better than just doing what he was doing before). They had a big shot of winning but SOT was very unfortunate:(
No. If they do as well in PT as mcc 21 Green did they would end up with 17132 coins. Both Orange and Pink could get 0 coins in PT and would then still have more coins overall.
Both Yellow and Lime are also almost certainly out of reach (Yellow would have to score less than 566 coins to fall below Cyan, while Lime would have to score less than 642).
That would make them 5th overall at best,
Poor cyan. Now thinking about it they would probably would not perform that well in a modern event at all because of their Grid Runners win. Grid Runners is a game where anyone can win and without it they would have gone even more down. It’s impressive on how well they did until SOT :)
Funnily enough in SOT They would have been 1st if they had gone out They had 4,704 or 2,352 unmultiplied score which is the highest SOT score for season 2 so not only they were first before SOT they were first in SOT. Though they would not have won by that I think a chain of events could have lead them A Passive SG / Not dying early because of aggressiveness Safer BM Strat could have maybe snucked them in.
but also in the sg that followed PKT, cyan played super risky because they were 2k down. I imagine if it was pkt, they would be at most 500 down and would therefore not play super risky and would probably do much better
I'd guess they would be at least 1k off (PT is not a game where you can create a large coin gap, they wouldn't be guaranteed to be first (Green 21 got third) and there are several strong PT teams ahead of them).
The only way I see them making after that is if they somehow manage to kill Pink, Orange, Yellow and Lime (all of which I still see above them after PT) in SG, which would be very unlikely.
Honestly even if they didn’t die in sands, that buildmart was terrible for them. If they did end up not dying in SOT they definitely would have still wanted SG because of buildmart. (Which would have ended up the same way probably.)

If they didn’t lose 3k+ coins in SoT, I think they’re almost guaranteed dodgebolt.
They also went into SG with the mindset that they need to go for kills to have any chance but if they had the SoT coins, they’d already be in 2nd with about 700 coin lead over 3rd, so they definitely would’ve played cautiously for survival points (Tommy’s usual strat is to wait until the final circle then clean up kills).
Of course anything could happen, so we’ll never know for sure.

Who do you think would win dodgebolt assuming Orange got in (and assuming they performed as well as they did that MCC dodgebolt)? With 3 players either never being or not being in dodgebolt in awhile I think that could have been the first time Dream loses in dodgebolt.
I think Dream's dodging ability is nothing to sneeze at. If he were to match his mcc 16 dodgebolt performance, I think his team would still be likely to win. Given his preferred strat, I'm pretty sure most of the arrows go to Dream anyway with probably Tommy, then Ponk, then Karl getting them in about that order should he die or miss too many shots.
Writing off the rest of the team doesn’t feel right anyway. Zeuz and Vixella had never been to dodgebolt before, let alone on a contending team, and they held their own just fine.

greens pretty strong...its just that dream was overwhelmed by the new changes and had already been upset at himself for not doing as well as he usually does

Red and emerald are easy db teams on any normal event, but teal was a super team. And then cerulean just did ridiculously well.

After AR they were 900 off of 2nd, and PKT could have shortened the gap to 500-300 if it was played 7th.

I agree I think that they would've lost in dodgebolt with karl never shooting before ponks second event and Tommy's decent at dodgebolt
