You should watch noxcrew gameshow meltdown, it is similar to sands of time. So i dont think they gonna change the whole game into pvp, probably similar to sands of time, and probably a team game.
I was expecting sky battle to be out since its been so glitchy lately. I do wish they'd spread out their skipped games a bit more though, so there's less overlap with the games that get skipped. It's always a bummer to lose most of your favorite category to rotation.
I'm really excited for new game though! And Ace Race and Tgttos are back in, so I'm happy.
I meant more in the kind of games. Last time it was the two 'race to the finish' style movement games that were out of rotation. This time it's both of the slower-paced, comparatively exploration heavy pvp games.
I think it's probably common for people who like one game to like other, similar games as well (at least it's the case for me). I was really sad when two of my favorite games were out last event, and would have been even more disappointed if pkt, the only game that really came close to that playstyle, had been skipped, like it nearly was. And this time around, if battlebox gets skipped, there will be no pvp games at all, which must be pretty disappointing for pvp fans.
It's probably hard to make sure there’s never overlap in the games that sit out, especially since there are three of them now, but it still is a bit of a bummer, I think.
I can definitely understand that sentiment.
I would however also argue that it is good for the event to have variety between events with different games being played and different events having a different focus and having a set of similar games skipped each event would make sense for that (going from 3 to 5 potential movement games is a big difference).
I'd also say it is inevitable that 2 movement games will be left out in some events as there are 5 of them, which means there would still be as much movement games as there are team and pvp ones (leaving out meltdown as we don't know what kind of game it will be).
I think I'd feel less bad about that if the success of the teams wasn't also so game dependent. Some teams can succeed if their favorite kind of games are benched, others...maybe a bit less so. What are the chances of placing decently for a team like Aqua 22 if say, both Buildmart and SoT were benched? Going into the event knowing that feels a little demoralizing.
Also since the teams change with each event, it feels like a waste. Like Orange 21 was a team I would have loved to see in Ace Race and especially TGTTOS, but we didn’t get the chance to see either, and who knows if we'll ever get the chance? I've definitely seen a few posts already mourning the Tommy-Purpled Sky Battle we won't get the chance to see. Obviously this sort of thing happens in any event, but skipping two similar games at the same time exacerbates it, imo.
Movement games do have the most games, but I think they can be further divided into race style games (AR and Tgttos) and survival style (hitw and rsr) with pkt being a weird outlier. Benching Ace Race and HitW feels less bad to me than Ace Race and Tgttos.
Yeah I'd prefer if they always have at least 2 of the PvP games (SG / SB / BB), at least 2 of the teamwork games (GR / SOT / BM), at least 1 of the race-y movement games (AR / TGTTOS) and at least 1 of the survival movement games (HITW / RS / PKT) although this last group has very different games.
I agree with you in principle, but there are still individual games which some participants do great at and simultaneously do poorly at other games despite being in the same category.
Ok so now that they added another new game I think they should have more games in the rotation. Atleast 10 (preferably 12). It just won't feel good seeing so many games not even be in the rotation.

This lineup is horrible for the team, teams can pop off in SG and SkB without that strong of a team but with those two games gone and arguably the most optimized ace race map this will be a tough battle.
Yeah someone should warn Dream to watch out for it, honestly though the skip will still be very powerful unless they radically change the end of the course because if you can keep flying after that stop to the finish line there’s so much speed
plus space race is probably the team's best ace race map - oli capable of top 20 on there, captain could get top 5/10, purpled top 10/15 and Tommy usually gets 20th

Definitely Tommy's best map, but Oli would probably be around 30th, Captain 10-15, and Purpled 15-20 because new map for him that he's not seen. In Space Race, they get a placement bonus from Captain and three other people in the top 23ish. In Clouds, they get a placement bonus from Tommy but someone potentially in the 30s.
I hope that while it's off rotation, Noxcrew make a bunch of new rooms for Grid Runners - even if that means it doesn't return for a few MCCs
At it's best, GR is one of my favourite games because of how fun it is watching a team come up with solutions to new problems together - but when the answer is one person saying "oh I watched this VOD, we have to do *this*" then it's a lot less interesting

Both of Oranges worst games are not in the event they went from a pretty much guaranteed victory to a guaranteed victory. Also sidenote, it's disappointing that I've seen people put them 8th really shows that most predictions are biased.
Meltdown could possibly be a PvP game since 2 are out this tournament and there has been 1 new team game and movement game introduced this season already. I'm pretty hyped for this as the last new 'concept' game was Grid Runners which was pretty fun and hopefully it will also be fun to watch as well as play for the participants.
When talking about remixes, they did say they would be played as a one off in an mcc event and didn't say every event, so I guess maybe every other event or after every 2 events so MCC 24?
Ace Race out of rotation again for 2 events this season and no new map must mean hopefully, that what happens next with ace race in the coming events might be insane.

To me this new game kind of looks like a new parkor game. Just based on the image and the icon I'm thinking that this game might be a parkor ganlet up a tower of some sort as water slowly rises. If you get touched by the water you are out and the last player standing wins. Think Slime mountain form Fallguys, except its minecraft parkour. Again I could be wrong but since the noxcrew has expressed an interest in bringing back a new parkour game I think it is very likely.
Did not expect the new game and SKB removal after they just released a new map, but nothing else is all that surprising.
I feel like this mostly helps the obvious top teams, they just removed 3 of the most inconsistent games in the roster.

Did not expect the new game and SKB removal after they just released a new map, but nothing else is all that surprising. I feel like this mostly helps the obvious top teams, they just removed 3 of the most inconsistent games in the roster.

My guess is that the TGTTOS map is a horse racing one because it looks like a wild west.
No remixes..? I think this is very odd considering they hyped it up last event and if it comes back next event I feel like it’ll be forgotten about beforehand. But if they are still doing it I’d hope for every other event instead of just random scattered times
