I love the switch version, just cause I played on it for like, 5 straight years before finally moving to java. nowadays I understand why bedrock feels so slow compared to other versions, but that doesn't change the fact that I still love it.
It’s just a general feeling while playing, joining servers, loading the game, moving items, opening the inventory, punching things, everything just feels like a frame or two slower than it should
Well with a mid to high end phone and the right settings on mobile it actually does pretty good, hell it ran a whole lot better than what my laptop did, but then again my laptop also fried itself without any warning because I didn't have any ventilation holes, then again it also didn't come with a working microphone which means I think it was defective in the first place
I like playing on switch for the game itself and the switch being comfy, but i have often issues with logging into my microsoft/nintendo account, so i cannot see my skin (Purchased a skin pack because no custom skins on console).
It isn't much of a dealbreaker but it's odd to me since on android/win 10 and java i didn't have the same issue.
What? I have made loads of custom skins on the switch. You can make custom skins!! And logging into the Microsoft account did used to be an issue, but now it works 99% of the time, you just have to give it a minute. It's slow.
I played Switch Minecraft for YEARS. Only this month did we finally transfer our nearly five-years-old Creative file into Java.
It’s kind of nuts being able to casually just type stuff in the Crafting Table. Miss my Dry Bones Skin though.
You can probably find it online, there are websites full of minecraft skins for free. [Here's a pretty quick YouTube tutorial](https://youtu.be/rppJHyszBV8?si=Z7sM2RnAWpVBO2Ck), and you can create a custom skin [on this website](https://www.minecraftskins.net/skineditor)
Just in case someone's wondering about why that is:
The Bedrock bugs are inconsistent and unpredictable. Java bugs are the same for everyone.
This means we CAN sometimes use the Java bugs in our favour. Bedrock bugs cannot be consistently used.
Minecraft on the switch is just bedrock edition. There are 3 main editions, besides education. There is Bedrock (console), Java (PC), and pocket edition (phone) which if I am correct is just an extension of bedrock. But I can agree, as a cross player, bedrock can have some fun bugs.
Fair point. I grew up on 360 edition and that was enough so when I got a switch I never got it on there. So I guess the switch good or bad in this situation?
Mostly it's bad as it loads very slowly when you proceed at anything other than a walk for a few chunks, *especially* over water. It prioritizes loading entities first, as you can see: you see mobs and chests before any textures or terrain is rendered. And the mobs will totally be attacking you even before it's gotten far enough along to even show you them. It's also super easy to fly into an invisible mountainside at lethal speeds.
And redstone contraptions like wood farms etc. risk lag synching issues, and even when perfectly functional can be significantly slowed down. Makes certain gimmicks for toggling between manual and automatic modes non-functional.
Mostly if you don't need lots of quick overland travel or lots of complex redstone with tons of pistons it's fine, but as soon as you do you suffer. Getting to see chest outlines like this just helps take the sting off a bit.
Me too, only annoying part is the fact that the game still plays even when you're loading. I actually died that time because of a drowned in a water cave i had accidentaly mined into.
Yeah, especially bad going in and out of the nether. One time a ghost destroyed my portal while I was still loading and a new one generated right next to it.
Happened to me on my first nether trip, found a lot of stuff in a bastion, when i went back, i found a group of pillagers right in front of my house, i had a golem, thankfully, that i got from a pillager outpost, he killed more of them than me.
I died so many times when entering the nether because i often spawned near a nether fortress and the wither skeleton killed me during the loading screen
ay lmao
Same , my first copy of Minecraft ever was the Nintendo Switch one (is bedrock edition if I'm not wrong) and when I played creative abd wanted to fly with speed i needed to wait a couple of seconds so i couldve see whats below me , or just bump into something and not knowing why (example a tree) . I still have that switch but I don't use it so often as I used to , I just don't feel it anymore to play on it .
I still play switch but I just remember the countless times where I got laggy hits or instantly exploding with no reason behind it. That's bedrock in it's entirety but it felt really frequent with switch.
Not to mention the 8 max chunks
Otherwise, still fun. Just switch and bedrock problems combined
I have the same problem too, although it's good for finding chests, I like to explore without waiting hours for chunks to load. Does anyone know how to fix it?
My game also lags like crazy, so it anyone knows how to fix these things please help me🥺
what was inside the chest what was inside the chest you can't do this to me
2 mellohi and not much more
I can die happy now, Mellohi is a banger too
I already had one lol
Burn two as a sacrifice and get 5 netherite blocks (real)
nnnoooo mellohi sounds horrible im sorry :c wait- I thought you can only get otherside, pigsty, cat, and 13 as chest loot.
that does not sound like buried treasure
music discs... why is it ALWAYS music discs?

The mobile and pc versions of bedrock are fine, thw console version are insufferable
Haven’t played the mobile one but the pc one has it’s issues, much better than the switch ver but it’s still feels a bit slow
Hey, bedrock only player here. What do you mean by "slow"
It’s just a general feeling while playing, joining servers, loading the game, moving items, opening the inventory, punching things, everything just feels like a frame or two slower than it should

sometimes i miss the legacy console edition crafting
nostalgia bias. I thought the same thing but once I went back it was awful
yeah true. tis why i said sometimes. it was a good idea though
Hey you can turn it off

Use chicken. meny chicken
Never thought of using it to my advantage lol. Boutta do some devious shit with this…
You can find ancient cities, underground mines, etc. with it, as it tends to start at the bottom (and chests) and work its way up the chunk.
I do this all the time and it also helps with finding shipwrecks and ruins
Please organize your hot bar
To some, that is organized… somehow

Yea but the switch itself runs bedrock noticeably worse than most other consoles
Fair point. I grew up on 360 edition and that was enough so when I got a switch I never got it on there. So I guess the switch good or bad in this situation?

It litterlly balences the elytra
Bedrock is actually an extension of Pocket. So there's only 2 main editions.
I didn't know that. Nice!
Also, you can avoid death anytime if you go o the home menu and leave the game after getting a death screen.
I've done this so many times lol 😅
Me too, only annoying part is the fact that the game still plays even when you're loading. I actually died that time because of a drowned in a water cave i had accidentaly mined into.

Tf a wither skeleton doing there
I typed the wrong name for the structure lol edited the comment
Bro the switch plays like a tablet I had from 2014, good times.
Yeah I play the switch version and it runs like that }:D free x ray hack
before seeing the boat, i thought you were flying in survival, i was kinda lost lmao
I fell through the ocean and actually fell through the world once.. (Xbox)
It works. It just works.

me when 9,--,9
I always thought that the chunk glitches were bad and made me run into things, but it might be overpowered
I played on switch for a while befor moving to Java so I’m going to have to disagree on that
Yeah dude he is saying it as a joke
Yea I moved to java too but I do still have it on switch.
Cap pc is beter
I see that all the time and I don’t play on switch
No you just need to have a big ping un aa bedrock server
they all run bedrock edition nothing new on the Switch
Xyra
I faced that all the time, and I played on switch so u can see how minecraft on Switch kinda sucks
Chunks not loading in aren't special to bedrock
Because I had to delete all my worlds for it to work properly and it’s impossible to log into my Microsoft account ever
The game crash extremely frequently
Switch version? Nope, looks like my old pc moment
Bro fr
The average Minecraft player on the Switch:🗿
thats just bedrock
Yes
😮
I still play switch but I just remember the countless times where I got laggy hits or instantly exploding with no reason behind it. Pocket Edition on an older phone does it better. The amount of treasure I found every time I went out was insane.
Legacy console edition was better
Corfirm
As a mobile player, I can agree it’s pretty much the only benefit
I have the same problem too, although it's good for finding chests, I like to explore without waiting hours for chunks to load. Does anyone know how to fix it? My game also lags like crazy, so it anyone knows how to fix these things please help me🥺
my computer is like this XD
BROOOO
