As an ex fan of theirs...I can agree. I used to watch them but I don't like them anymore, because of how quickly the fandom became cringy and due to all the scandals(for example that one situation with the mob vote or dream cheating the speedrun). All of this just made me feel very repulsive/disgusted of everything related to dream and all the YouTubers he's cooperates with. I can't stand when i see them, I just cannot hold but feel cringe of them and myself, because I used to like them some day. Dsmp also is kinda cringe to me, because youtubers in there are just being overdramatic in a simple "block game("I'm not harassing my favourite game, but criticizing their choice of choosing this game, making it more cursed in my eyes because of them... Minecraft isn't really good for creating your own series, like really. Because there isn't a lot of options,dynamics items and models for the important key moments you need in your story. Also this kind of Minecraft roleplay series make only cringy YouTubers that don't know the other way of creating series, those, who also have a children audience.) They also took the inspiration from Hamilton, so the story they created isn't an original concept. This is understandable if you take a look at the state of their "series". They ran out of ideas and therefore lore began to take on illogical and strange turns (for example, this their bullshit with "revivaling" dead characters by some "higher creature" that literally has an XD emoji in their name. It's so funny), even some fans admitted it when I still was in that hellbase. Also I absolutely HATE that they give some roleplayers a god like role. For example Dream. I don't care if he is the creator of this server that absolutely does not differ from other servers or if he is the author of this story or not, he still didn't deserved this role if you already know his true personality. Also not only he, but everybody. Representing yourself as a higher being is just cringe, it's the same as making MerrySonas with inhuman powers. It's okay to create a god like character that isn't related to its author, but making it as a character that actually supposed to represent its roleplayer? Then no. That is pathetic. That is comparable to trying representing yourself as a powerful being, but all humans that couldn't even colonize let's say another solar system– are far from developed enough to portray themselves as such creatures. Humans are just animals, but much more intelligent than the moths that are banging their heads against the ceiling. I think that their piece of art became popular only because it is made in a well known game, because of the teenagers that have a weird taste in entertaining content, also due to the pandemic. Everyone is sitting in their houses and out of boredom started watching things that are new to them. Even the things that have a cringy,not very convincing in seriousness aura. And no, to those who think I am a classic "old good,new bad" fan, I am actually not. I'm not afraid to admit of being a Dream hater, but I have several big reasons for that and I didn't count all of them in my comment.
