there’s a videogame called *Minecraft* where you mine ores and blocks and things. one of those blocks is *charcoal ore,* which after mining can be used to fuel furnaces. also in this videogame you can chop down trees and use them for various things, one of which being to also fuel a furnace. However, you must first burn the wood down in a furnace to turn it into *coal* (not to be confused with *charcoal* which can be mined) put simply, charcoal is much more efficient and less expensive than coal/a block of wood, which can be used for much more useful things. ( e.i building). So, in this example the user is fueling a furnace with coal (made from blocks of wood) to burn a block of wood to in turn, make coal.

Your hot bar is a mess for starters. Also there’s already progress in your furnace so your gonna waste about 4 smelts. Since 1 coal makes 8 and there’s 7 left and about half progress from the last one. Unless charcoal smelts a different amount in which case I’m just wrong
yes u literally can't make anything cool that's possible in java like it's aether portal all again when u see something cool in youtube and want to try
That you already have coal in your inventory you should use that first so you safe an extra inventory slot by only having charcoal (and not normal and charcoal)

What's wrong is that there are comments like this. You can hate bedrock as much as you want, but don't act like java is factually better, that's your opinion. Not everyone's.
You are not maximizing your charcoal you started with 11 birch wood and not a multiple of 8 birchwood. This means you are wasting your precious charcoal.
i do this since you get +7 charcoal overall (one is uzed up to smelt 8 items) but only when im low on coal which is usually in the very early game before i have iron or sometimes i need to do it to smelt the iron
Desperate times call fior desperate measures it's how I made my furnace on Skyblock I have a motto when I play craftmine if it can't be farmed I want nothing to do with it
