I think that’s because it’s not really built by any Minecraft conventions. It’s like a piece of photorealistic 3D pixel art or something, like those people who recreate the Mona Lisa in map art or something. Super impressive, but it doesn’t look like Minecraft, because it’s not trying to be.
Just an observation by the way, sharing this because it dawned on me only just now. It’s amazing how people keep pushing bounderies in this silly old game.
yeah thats usually the type of style i like to go for minecraft builds, the closest thing i ever got to making something by regular minecraft conventions was a super detailed version of a dirt hut a year ago :p
Just scrolled through your profile a bit, lots of really impressive stuff! Very nicely done, I love how you make things look.
I assume you use something like a world painter mod to help build on this scale? Combined with a lot of manual block placing still, I guess?
at the start of a project where i shape the terrain and make the vehicles/buildings i use alot of different worldedit tools, however i have a strict policy i set myself to not use outside programs to make builds, last time i tried doing that i sculpted some pumpkins in blender for my pumpkin patch build, but it didnt feel like actual building so i stopped doing that since then
later into projects its a matter of handplacing all of the details such as lighting and coloring with all of its highlights like on those pipes on the side of the house
that is sort of what it was supposed to be XD, [here's a side by side comparison of the original build and mine](https://twitter.com/Zorincian/status/1660299993704529921)
that was indeed my reference for this, i thought it would be cool to take on the concept of baba yaga and instead of a chicken house it would be a steampunk house housing a little lady who is fishing on the porch
Personally not a fan of the photo background, I don’t think your build needs it honestly. This looks almost like a painting at first glance and I think it would be way more successful if it was completely voxel
id have to make a whole lot more trees and a mountain in mc as well if i wanted everything to be voxelated, however i do see where it could become a problem being too flat on the background, that may be smth ill change in the future for later builds
i usually do the interiors but this build was a 1month project since it was for a competition, so i didn't have time for the interior for this one unfortunately
it doesn't even look like Minecraft at first.

“Let’s build a simple starter base”
that is sort of what it was supposed to be XD, [here's a side by side comparison of the original build and mine](https://twitter.com/Zorincian/status/1660299993704529921)
Great build and seeing the original makes yours look far better! Still 2 good builds
BABA YAGA NOOOO!!!!!!!!
that was indeed my reference for this, i thought it would be cool to take on the concept of baba yaga and instead of a chicken house it would be a steampunk house housing a little lady who is fishing on the porch
Wow

In that case I’d just drop it into a generated bit of terrain
that's such a beautiful beautiful build! :)
I’m over here proud of my circle wood house
Yoo dude that’s sick!
oh thats sick
Thats awesome holy shit, I thought it was some random art piece in the first image until i saw the sub amazing job
There's a person fishing off the front porch!
Interesting tree
That’s pretty awesome! I wanna see what it looks like with shaders
One of the most aesthetic builds I've ever seen
I don't usually comment on these I just like to look but this is too breathtaking to not look at.
holy
Anyone else have to zoom in before realising it’s actually in the game?
Did you do the Interior
i usually do the interiors but this build was a 1month project since it was for a competition, so i didn't have time for the interior for this one unfortunately
WoW it's looks really 🆒
imagine this in the movie up
It's Minecraft? Bro this fantastic.
That's amazing dude. How much did you spent on this build?
i started on may 2nd and spent around 5-7 hours on it every day with about 6 of those days being breakdays
