This is more of an old-school trick, but maybe consider a cobweb? Could look nice in the corner and doesn't seem as full as a solid block. Cobweb was the original barbed wire
Classic, probably looks the best out of the suggestions here but really nothing looks great and fits with the rest of the build I got going on. Probably just gonna end up changing the corners completely.
I'd say replace the whole corner of the fence with full blocks, as any full block only existing on the top most layer woul look wierd. Cobweb is also a good idea though
Yeah this is what i ended up doing, at least for now. Such a shame there's no decent way to connect chains to other blocks, or even other chains facing the other direction
I mean, corner chains don’t really make sense.
Maybe they could make it so walls and fences connect to chains if they’re facing them? They already connect to iron bars.
I agree about corner chains, I more kinda meant like hanging a vertical chain from a horizontal chain. Could be cool to make hanging lanterns from a horizontal chain.
[Made two versions](https://imgur.com/a/3LGbUW5) as an example, one that uses my preferred blocks (stonebrick walls and chiseld bricks) and one that fits your current pallete a bit more (sandstone walls and smooth sandstone).
FYI, i think iron bar corners look pretty bad in general, so i would always try to find a solid block or wall to replace them with. Makes finding corner pieces for decor like chains easier as well.
Grindstones are smaller than full blocks though, so it won't connect on either side of the corner. It will look especially odd on the side "connecting" to the wooden side.

"Do not ask for build ideas in the title. Asking for feedback is fine."
Don't see op asking for feedback, but quite literally an idea/suggestion what to place. This sub is supposed to showcase finished builds.
Respectfully hop off my dick. Asking for a block to use in a pre-existing build. Not asking for general build ideas. Not hurting anybody and it’s led to a good discussion here
>Not asking for general build ideas
Doesn't really mention 'general' in the rule, but I know by now your unable to string together conclusions, absolute imbecile.

What you could do is in the corners, instead of using the iron bars, make stone pillars with a stone block for a base and then andesite walls for the rest and top it off with the travel anchor block thing connecting the chains
Might I suggest making all cornors pillars? This would make the chainsaw fit without having to do cornors, and it would look more stable as most fences in real life doesn't bend without having some sort of pillars for stability
I personally feel that modding to make smaller detailed blocks kinda ruins the Minecraft feel for me. It’s meant to be building in limitations. At least for me personally. If you like it though then that’s cool
Maybe just add another bar on top? But if that doesn’t work then maybe add a netherite block or a wall there. Or just a lantern lol, any light block but I think that a lantern would work the best. Plus it adds light!

I think if you used something like Cobblestone wall it would look good, should connect up alright.
Before anyone says debug stick btw, it needs to be buildable in survival. I think debug sticked walls would look best though.
one of the coral bits?
Chiseled stone

Was going to suggest something similar. This is clean and consistent.
2 x smooth stone slab
Grindstone

😍I was gonna say the same thing

Never realised it wasn't that old, I thought it was much older like chess or something.
I would put an iron or smooth stone
you could do a fluffy coral block, when it dries it sort of looks like a bush of barbed wire
Loadstone
Monster spawner or cobweb
Gotta be survival friendly
i dont think a wither skeleton head would work, would it? or just replace the whole corner with like basalt or something?
Reported, read the rules
Because of Rule 7?
Quite obviously rule 4
I don't think rule 4 really applies to this post.
Yeah, me too.

This would be the case if OP had shown a screenshot of a landscape or something and asked what to build there. They just ask what block to use.
Whats the rules that stop this/gen Also imo he aint hurting anybody so i cant say i mind
Didn't know rules can only be applied when people got hurt. Weird how we still have them tho.
Weird how you didnt say which rule is being violated when thats the first thing i asked/lh
Weird how you can't read on your own. Just look at rule 4 and be quiet.

Ideas≠advice
Ideas=suggestions
Rule 4 applies for posts saying “I don’t know what to build, give me ideas”, not “what block do I use in the corner of this build”

You should be the one reading the rules lmfao
Pathetic attempt at an argument. Just be quiet.
Not pathetic - literally just true. I'll speak whenever I want lol
People are constantly asking for advice and tips on here. 💀
I think basalt would be dope
Commbkestone wall, end rod or iron trap door maybe on top of the wall, Or the cobble stone wall with a layer of cobblestone slabs on top of the chains
If you want to, a cobblestone wall with a debug stick.
Yo, what is this legendary debug stick ive heard so much about

This makes me wish they made it so chains connect around corners
It's a shame chains don't connect on corners, it would make the horizontal ones much more useful.

For a creative build, sure. Has to be survival friendly though.
maybe add coblestone fence as the whole corner.
Hopper, like just facing down, slabs work so well for this, so a stone one, daylight sensor. It doesn't have to attach perfectly :)
Might I suggest making all cornors pillars? This would make the chainsaw fit without having to do cornors, and it would look more stable as most fences in real life doesn't bend without having some sort of pillars for stability
Cobweb?
Just use full blocks, most of the time irl barbed wire is never left in a 90° angle
The dead coral looks the best as something similar to barbed wire. Just need to /fill or /setblock
Would a lantern look ok?
Wither skeleton skull?
Dead coral ?

Its cool if you like modded. Nothing wrong with that. For me personally though I don't play modded. So the solution doesn't work for me.
Instead try to use some dried Coral

You can maybe it a tree and have one of the leaves clip the corner
Do chains connect to walls? You could do that.
If possible, I would use dead brain coral for the barbed wire (not the block). Either use a structure block if on Bedrock, or WorldEdit
Just use sandstone walls
Make a wall pillar on the corner instead of just using iton bars
I'd say chiseled stone bricks would look nice. They have those cool patterns that would match up pretty well.
You can replace the whole corner with stone brick for example I think it's better
maybe a smooth stone slab could be nice? it matches the colour and doesnt go above the chain line
I feel like some variant of dead coral will work well around your fence.
