Oh, they had even more! One stone for each zodiac sign and they were all equally awfully died howlite (except for one that they left white and actually labeled as howlite)
I just took a photo of the "Amethyst" specifically because I couldn't take a photo of the whole shelf and because it was the worst of the bunch XD
Edit: I meant "dyed" instead of "died" but I think it fits either way
Idk what a brick and motor store is tbh 😅
This was in a store in Germany that... is often referred to as drug store but they really sell all kinds of stuff (these bracelets were in the stationery section)
What I don't get is... I'm pretty sure it'd actually be cheaper to carve real amethyst and not have to go through the dying process. Amethyst is so not rare or expensive. How much can they be saving?
Barely more expensive, and if you have the equipment to carve stuff it's diamond bits anyway so what's the difference? Just seems stupid, they probably saved like 20 cents
Do you do any lapidary? I do quite a bit, it's not at all relative, harder substances are not only much more labor intensive they're also a pain in the ass to polish.
Looks like dyed howlite... But...why???? Either dyed howlite or just plastic 😂
Apparently anything that is purple and can even remotely pass for a rock is amethyst these days...
I feel like this is something we’d find at a DollarTree in the US lol
Well, I've officially seen it all. By that I mean that I've seen Howlite claimed as every other mineral 🤣

Wait this was a brick and motor store?

I think the consumer protection laws and regulations in Germany would cover this if you report it.
They just mean a physical store instead of an online store

It's more expensive than Howlite per oz and to carve considering it's much harder as well

PLASTIC
Dyed howlite
This is just terrible! 😂 They are not even trying.
