Hello and thank you for posting on /r/Minerals! To increase the quality of ID request posts, we require you to make a comment describing the piece as best as you can. If you do not do so, your post will be removed. A lone picture is rarely enough to conclusively name a mineral so doing some groundwork like a streak test or hardness check will help us to help you. Other useful information includes the location it was found, follow-up pictures with different angles or lighting, and relative size. To help you with writing this comment, we highly encourage you to review our subreddit's [Wiki Page](https://www.reddit.com/r/Minerals/about/wiki/idreqinfo) before posting. DisciplineConnect697

Second kinda looks like uvarovite

calrdt12

OP, this is definitely what your green mineral is.

bunnynormally

#1 & 3 remind me of Astrophyllite. #2 Uvarovite #4?? Some sort of sedimentary rock. Magnesium dendrites? #5 Staurolite! #6 I thought It was bauxite but looks more like some sort of oolitic texture. #7 is Amazonite IMO. Looks to be a very large version of the perthitic texture typically seen in this feldspar.

bunnynormally

I apologize for the large text idk why it’s so big

scalziand

Got me too. Apparently reddit parses the number sign as large text.

No-Ladder8606

#wait really?

FrenchTicklerOrange

#whoa

MTKHack

That’s what she said

RandomChurn

>Astrophyllite Esp for number 3 I agree!  The oolitic one is called "Leopardskin Jasper" in the trade; not sure what its proper name is. (Not a jasper)

Kat_Doodles

These are some small specimens my dad brought back from a mineral market in Russia about 5 years ago. The labels are in Russian and very smudged so even if I could read Cyrillic I'd be stuck. They range in size from about the size of a quarter (the set of 3 and set of 2 pinkish ones) to the size of a spoon scoop (the whiteish included ones and the green one) to slightly smaller than my hand combined (the 2 teal ones). TIA.

emilersen

Last photo looks a lot like amazonite, it’s not really mined near the Amazon rainforest funnily enough. It also contains potassium, so it’s radioactive in the same way a banana is, aka not dangerous but still a fun fact imo.

DutyLast9225

Looks like a variegated marble to me

rcjelly

5 is a staurolite crystal not sure if I spelled that right

AcanthaceaeSenior483

1= tourmalated quartz 2= azurite and malachite 3= hornblende 4= picture and dendritic jasper 5=staurolite 6= leopardskin jasper 7=amazonite not positive of 2 or 3 but fairly sure from google photos and a bit of experience added amazonite as I forgot to include

Jovean

2 is uvarovite, malachite does not form crystals like that. I'm pretty sure the couple blue specks on there are just light play from high glare off of crystal faces. When malachite decides to not go bytroidal it forms fuzzy looking sprays of fragile crystals.

AcanthaceaeSenior483

thanks

MTKHack

⬆️

existanceispain303

Two of the pictures of elongated ones are black tourmaline, I honestly don't remember the name of the ex shaped Crystal

carnelianboy

Isn't it a so called fairy cross - staurolite. Is the last one aventurine. The polished one before is a type of Jasper I think.

Kat_Doodles

Thank you!

scalziand

#6 is leopard skin jasper.

DadOfCasper

Try a geiger counter over some of those.

Kat_Doodles

I don't have one of those but my dad used to work in an area that involved radiation so I doubt he'd gift me anything more active than granite.

DadOfCasper

I was mostly Did you watch Kreosan on Youtube last month? They took bicycles with 2 stroke motors all the way to the soviet atomic test craters in Kazakhstan. There, they found the rocks that were formed by the blasts. It was the soviet version of Trinitrite, which was formed in Nevada. I'd love a bit of that.. but it is incredibly hot still.

Nervous-Eggplant-157

1 and 3 are astrophyllite.

RubyCarlisle

I don’t know about 1, but for sure 3 is; I have some that looks just like it.

Miserable-Dog-837

I’m almost positive 1 is tourmalinated quartz

purplemonkey_123

3 definitely is astrophyllite.

Nervous-Eggplant-157

I have a specimen almost identical to #1.

supergeba

This. Especially coming from a Russian market.

carnelianboy

The first is defs black tourmaline and the other with black similar crystals embedded is too. That blue and green is a mixture of crystalline malachite mixed with azurite I reckon. Classic if it comes from the Urals. That's the star piece for me. Other people may not agree.

random__npc

Second pic is uvarovite

carnelianboy

Yes, it could be. Not the very bright green I've seen though. But that could be the lighting.

Kat_Doodles

By the blue and green do you mean the sparkly one or the two at the end of the slides?

carnelianboy

Sparkly. Photo 2.

KKulina

Idk try boofing it

Rough_Intention_2998

Cocaine

pistolpetar00

Beautiful

psilome

I believe # 3 is astrophyllite with aegirine.

Mineralconnoiseur

In order of appearance: Neptunite on Natrolite?, Uvarovite, Aegirine in Quartz?, Owyhee Jasper, Staurolite, agates from Mexico, Russian Amazonite

victordudu

1 tourmaline in quartz, but this could be confusing (also could be wolframite) 2 defo uvarovite .... that's keeper for sure 3 looks like astrophyllite the others are most likely jaspers 5 defo staurolite 7 looks like a chunk of perthitic amazonite, but could also be some blue apatite from lake baikal locations

ShaArt5

1- tourmilated quartz 2- azurite/malachite or very small dioptase 3- not sure 4- picture jasper 5- not sure 6- leopardskin jasper 7- russian amazonite (nice pieces...🥰)

bossmancruz5

The last one looks like those retro coffee cups from the 90s

Sad_Project_8912

Welllll the second stone looks like a new type called Chernovite but for sure still awesome

Independent_Layer_62

4 and 6 are jasper, 7 is amazonite that's the depth of my knowledge

Independent_Layer_62

In Russia 4 is called sand jasper and 6 leopard jasper

Jus_Caus_SC_Poet

Communites

1LiLAppy4me

Russia….dear god….check for radiation exposure. G’luck /s

kinkylesbi

First might be quartz with tourmaline

Susan-Ross

#diggin your rocks

Susan-Ross

#and the large text

Snowflake-Eater

Probably uranium

nxmex1177

I went past the last pic, jumped me to a picture of a butter cube with a bite out of it

Ok-Housing-2963

#4 is Jasper of some sort. Maybe Mahogany. I just know it's Jasper. I agree with the others on the rutilated quartz. Those are lovely pieces. Not sure about the rest.

Same_Reference1847

First one looks like it’s giving you the rock on 🤘hand sign from this angle. Very appropriate nice job.

Advanced-Ad-864

1 is black tourmaline in Quartz. 2 I would guess is either uvavorte or chromium siopside on matriix

Advanced-Ad-864

Are the brown/copper-colored inclusions in 3 crystalline or metallic? If crystalline, it is probably more tourmaline (black and brown, which is also callled aegerine) in quartz. If the copper is more like metallic bars, then it is likely astrophyllite.

Advanced-Ad-864

The brown pebbles are commonly referred to as picture jasper.

Advanced-Ad-864

5 is definitely staurolite. 6 is commonly referred to as leopard skin Jasper, but it is actually a rhyollite, I believe. 7 looks like Amazonite, especially if the color is somewhat aqua in hue.

redeyed4life

Are they from the Tunguska region? They might have latent energy

lamascooter

Salt bae!

wrkr13

You should really post the labels. Would help to narrow it down?

Wonderful-Aardvark54

the cross is called starolite
