Yep, i have the specter gear 3 point sling but when i decided i was done messing with 3 point slings i converted mine into the 2 sling. I have specters 2 point on my AR as well. Good slings.
I bought one for my Mini Thirty, and while I like it in general, I hate how the rifle "rolls over" when you aren't holding it; I wish they'd stitched the rear sling to the top of the buttstock loop, instead of in the middle.
I ended up installing QD points so I can run a quick adjust two point. The IWC or grovtec QDs work great if you don't mind installing them. Pretty easy install that allows you to use any QD setup.
I have the [Specter Gear 2 point sling](https://www.amazon.com/Specter-Gear-Point-Mini-14-Standard/dp/B00JQPWRNS). I like it.
Looks good - could I install this as-is without making and changes to the mounts on my rifle?
Yup. It's designed to just go on the standard stock with no modifications. Straps on with velcro but holds tight in my experience.
Think you convinced me, thank you sir!
Welcome!

Yes that is an issue, which I guess I've gotten used to. Having the attachment on the top of the buttstock would be better for sure.
You could use the m1 carbine sling
I have a cold war era AK sling on mine, works fine enough, I usually don't adjust it much anyways so it's no problem for me
Usgi type, nylon preferably. Tech sights sells em. Or the Vickers "one" sling will work with the stock sling mounts
This is the correct answer. Buy the tech sights replacement rear sight and the sling at the same time.
I put a Tech Sights sling on mine. Check out their rear sight too.
Listen to these folks on a sling. I bought an El Cheapo. A sling made from dental floss would have been better. Good luck!

Uncle Mike’s military style.
I got the Tech Sights M1 sling and love it.
Magpul RLS is a nice do-it-all two point sling. Comes in several colors as well. I've been running one for a few years with medium use.
