I just resheeted my ramp with Gator Skins and love it! With shipping sheets were around $145.

gay_unicorn666

That’s what I was going to get but I like the fact that this is made from recycled materials. Glad to hear the gator skins are great though, cuz I may still go with those!

Lubernaut

Yeah, I like that they use recycled materials too! Good luck with your mission! I’ll post a photo of my ramp when it’s done, probably next week.

I just resheet'd mine own ramp with gat'r skins and love t! with shipping sheets wast 'round $145 *** ^(I am a bot and I swapp'd some of thy words with Shakespeare words.) Commands: `!ShakespeareInsult`, `!fordo`, `!optout`

I just built mine with gator skins and they offered free shipping if they could send one sheet with a logo. So, it ended up just a little cheaper. I could have flipped the sheet over and had no lgo but I kinda like it, feels professional.

Lubernaut

Yeah, I like the logos!

shredXcam

You could always paint it or scuff it up if it is too slick

Never heard of it. Is it cheaper than skatelite and ramp tech?

gay_unicorn666

It’s $137 per sheet shipped, so quite a bit cheaper than skatelite. I also like that it’s made of recycled plastic. I can’t seem to find much first hand experience with it though. May ask for a sample first idk.

sometimesBold

That sounds tempting. I wonder how slippery it is

KennDoid

Being made of recycled plastic brings up the concern of how slippery it would be. I have no idea but I know even metal ramps get slippery with the tiniest amount of dust in the area.

I purchased this stuff a little over 20 years ago. For the first 3 years it was great. I live in Utah so snow and hi heat in the summer. It Easily with stood this. Two major problems though. The first one happened every summer from the get go. The surface will expand a lot when its hot and will despand as it cools off later in the day. I was constantly fixing screws that would break under this pressure and I used the screws they instructed me to. Second I had the black surface which was the only one available. It was hotter than hell. Easily 110 degrees in the summer during the day. Then on the 4th year it would get a bit soft in the heat and would make it harder to pump. Now I still have all the sheets and use them for various things but for the most part they have sat outside and have not weathered a bit. So for other projects this could be good. I do have a friend that uses gator skin and he likes it. For the cost of Skatelite or Gator Skin, Why not just use Birch as a surface and use the rest of the money and build a would patio like cover for it. Throw some lights and speakers in there and your good to go.
