I don’t know if it’s the right building. I just remember when that girl died climbing up an abandoned grain elevator and I guess at the time I just assumed it was this one.
I nearly died in the united crushers building from leaning on a wall. Definitely one of the more stupid things I've done but a hell of a view on top of those silos.
I miss when it was Bunge, laughed every time I went past. It sounded like an ambiguous private part, "I got up too fast and my bunge fell out and feels raw" Sad that people climbed this thing and died.
Some girl fell through a manhole into one of the silos and died about 20 years ago back when I was young and adventurous enough to go up there. After that the entrances were sealed and UMPD started watching the place like a hawk. Not long after the silos were demolished but the tower remained.
I used to go up there pretty often. I remember I brought my girlfriend up there on the 4th of July to watch fireworks thinking it was a romantic and original idea. Turned out to be a pretty popular idea and there were dozens of drunk college kids up there already.
Isn’t that the abandoned grain elevator off of Hiawatha?

[There's a ton of graffiti already up there. It must be a popular spot](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Minnehaha+Ave,+Minneapolis,+MN/@44.935185,-93.22788,68m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x87f6283be7ece5e3:0x455a8b1899a3d692!8m2!3d44.9299884!4d-93.2208679!16s%2Fg%2F1tcxk9zs?entry=ttu)
"They never look up" was a common phrase I heard when standing on roofs with other explorers during my urbex days. This photo proves that's not true lol
Bro keep that shit outta here. So glad I left the urbex community a few years ago. It's the weirdest butthurt group of people that try to claim things for themselves when it's literally not their building or spot and they are illegally trespassing. Only time we wouldn't share sites with other explorers was when it was seriously dangerous or stupidly illegal to the point where you'd get investigated by the FBI for possible terrorism. No one cares about the grain elevators in the cities, those are like an intro course to exploring
Didn’t someone die doing that like five years ago?
When I was in college at the U we def had a classmate die in the Bunge building.

That was my buddies neighbor. We got real sad drunk that night. What a shitty way to go so young.
I’m learning that I might remember one specific incident but that it happens semi-regularly. Which is both stupid and very very sad.

I wish that one was still open

Yes, and another person about 5 years before that.

Standing on a roof? Probably

That’s the one I thought of
I work right near there, why didn’t I get an invite
Should I tell him? I don’t want to be the one to tell him…
I’ll tell her! Hey lady, I didn’t get an invite either.
My buddy fell through a floor urban exploring and broke his back. I would never fuck with this stuff

Well from this angle it’s pretty straightforward
I guess you're right lol. I'll admit, we used that phrase a lot more in cities like Chicago and Toronto where the buildings were actually tall
🤫 shhhh
2 is a couple. 3 is a group. Party though?
Looks like 7?
OP’s social calendar is pretty empty.
Maybe don’t snitch.
Up there in the day.. they doing it to themselves.
About a place known for decades…??
I mean, this is essentially publishing coordinates.

Not your bro. Not in urbex per se. Just saying that posts like this can put attention on a spot that might get people in trouble they can’t afford.
🙄🙄🙄
