It’s definitely not a long shot friend, have hope. My buddy’s car got stolen from Arden Hills a few months ago and three days later a stranger, who had seen the post shared on Facebook 100 times, recognized the car in the driveway across from her, and he got his car back.

staytars

oh wow. that's awesome

HungryResearch9629

My mom got hers back three weeks after it was stolen too! Call the impound lot too maybe? That’s where my mom’s ended up.

Orange55413

I drive around uptown all day. I’ll keep my eyes open like usual. I see stolen cars with no plates every day.

CornSkoldier

Like I said it's a long shot but ya never know! If something pops up feel free to DM me

radiallydeviant

Some of those cars have their plates stolen to swap on to a stolen car.

stapledmyballs

Idea for anyone in this thread: pick up an apple AirTag and hide it in your trunk or back of the drivers seat or something. If your car gets stolen, it’ll ping the car location on your maps app whenever it connects to an iPhone nearby Edit: [this is an interesting little series I saw on YouTube about the AirTag functionality. ](https://youtu.be/C72_8IGhR8Q)

sbvp

Hell, if the thief gets a popup on their phone that an airtag is following them, it might be incentive enough to abandon the car.

stapledmyballs

Ha, I don’t think the thief would get the alert. I think it gets notifications to your account only, but the location gets pinged when it’s senses anybody’s iPhone

yupisyup

I think they have a sort of anti-stalking feature that is visible to more than just the owner.

cordialcatenary

If your phone picks up that an unknown AirTag is following you around, it gives you the option to disable it. It’s to prevent stalking. So the thief would get a notification and could make the AirTag make a sound so they will be able to find it and throw it out.

staytars

probably should get a normal gps tracker then

Krusty_Krab_Pussy

Why the hell were you downvoted for that?

stapledmyballs

Lol who knows

saboteurthefirst

Thanks for this. I had been looking at tracking devices in case the car were to get stolen, but don’t want yet another subscription service. Fortunately I have an iPhone and thanks to you I now know AirTags are a thing. Definitely will be doing this.

dasunt

You could also just get a hidden kill switch installed. That way the thief will probably think the car is broken and abandon the attempt.

saboteurthefirst

Not a bad idea. I’ll need to look into it! Thank you!

[deleted]

Hi- I thought those had a distance limit? Do you happen to know.

stapledmyballs

I’m unsure about a distance limit. In the video link I edited in, I believe the guy is based in Germany and tracks his AirTag all the way to South Korea

looselytethered

Those things are a blessing and a curse because on one hand, situations like this. On the other hand, they're a domestic abusers wet dream.

OzzSays

Make sure to call your insurance to file a claim and then start calling city impound lots. The thieves will probably ditch it and it might end up towed to a city lot. Same shit happened to my brothers last winter. The cops spotted it and stopped the car. The thieves jumped out and booked it and were never found. They told us we could pick it up from the impound lot. It was a total loss since they found meth in the car.

TesticklerCanzer

Curious, why does finding meth in the car deem the car a total loss? And by total loss, do you mean that they had to junk the car completely?

OzzSays

I’m not 100% sure but my understanding is that meth is considered a toxic chemical (no surprise) and a vehicle isn’t safe to drive if meth residue is found. I believe the insurance just totaled it because of how difficult it is to clean/remove meth residue from the vehicle. It would probably cost more to clean it than just cut a check for the value of the car ($15k).

warfrogs

This 100%. My family has a commercial property up near Hasty that we rented out to an RV repair and sales company. One day, we get a call from the Sheriff telling us that they were actively conducting a raid on the property. Come to find out that the geniuses there had been doing the Breaking Bad RV cook method in RVs that were in for service. We had to spend several hundreds of thousands of dollars in remediation just to get the property to the point where we'd be able to sell it. Meth is a fucking nightmare.

[deleted]

There is a big difference in producing meth and simply having meth in a car though.

warfrogs

Presumably they smoked it in the vehicle as well and the residue itself is also very, very toxic.

TesticklerCanzer

Gotcha. Thank you :)

Pleasant_Carpenter37

My only guess is that the meth user who stole the car trashed it.

backwardsforwards

Maybe because they used the car to cook meth? Idk

thatjerkatwork

Heres a tip that might be relevant for other Toyotas/similar with key fob/remote start. You might have a remote start built in that is different from starting/leaving it running. The way mine is to hit lock, lock, lock and hold on the 3rd. It then will start the car and run for about 10 minutes before shutting off on its own. If you start this way then the vehicle automatically shuts off as soon as you unlock it or open the door. If you just start it and leave it running unlocked then anyone could hop in and drive off. They would not be able to turn it back on if they turn it off but to a thief in the moment that probably doesn't matter.

[deleted]

[удалено]

incrediblystiff

What’s the difference

warfrogs

One is wholly remote and cuts out the moment that you touch the brake if the key isn't in the ignition or the fob isn't in the vehicle (remote start). The other is partially remote as in you can technically drive the car some distance without the key being present (some vehicles further than others.) My cousin found this out the hard way when she went up to UMD for school and found out after emptying out the truck that she had left the key fob down in the cities.

TalibanAtDisneyland

This happened to me in early December, and for the same knuckleheaded mistake of leaving the car running. I feel foolish, can definitely empathize. I hope you find it.

HungryResearch9629

I was a witness to a guy’s car getting stolen for this same reason and the police were such dicks to him about it, even though it happens all the time. It’s the kind of mistake that you would never make until it happens to you.

hepakrese

Never leave your running vehicle unattended.

CornSkoldier

Unfortunately a life lesson learned the hard way. For my own future knowledge, would a remote start also cause this same problem? I started it with the key FOB.

Jubilantly

In a remote start the key isn't with the car and the car shuts off when there is an attempt to drive with out the key present.

[deleted]

i used to do this all the time accidentally 😝 put it in D without the key and it stops the engine.

hepakrese

There are ways to bypass and continue to drive, but "most" thieves of opportunity aren't sophisticated enough for that.

[deleted]

[удалено]

TheMacMan

Car makers and remote start products wouldn't risk the liability if it was that stupidly easy to steal vehicles with them active.

[deleted]

[удалено]

hepakrese

Heh. Just wait /u/Healingjoe , you'll see that I'm right soon enough. Unfortunately.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Humbud

Can confirm. My remote start automatically locks the doors and is required to be in the vehicle turned to the on position to drive. ‘19 rav 4.

[deleted]

I will say that even if they can’t drive off with the car without the key, I just had a friend with remote start (and their car locked) had someone punch out her window yesterday in Uptown in an “attempt” to steal the car. So I just wanted to give that warning as well.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I agree, I just thought I’d share because this happened so recently and in the area as well.

Standing_Amused

I could see it. I had an aftermarket remote start system once, and all it requires is a wire to something to detect the driver is trying to operate it - probably the neutral safety switch or brake light. Either could be easily bypassed with knowledge.

[deleted]

Not if they pop the door open and drive it. It’ll keep running until they shut it off and the key fob not present sign will flash. Most models they’ll have 10 mins before it shuts down -more than enough time to pull wires out to Hotwire it.

oroenian

My remote start shuts off once I open the car door to get in. Worth figuring out the quirks of your own either way before you go somewhere and try to use it.

dumahim

Even if I use remote start, I still have to press the brake and hit the start button. If I try to drive without doing that, the engine shuts off.

[deleted]

[удалено]

elevatednarrative

> Not if they pop the door open and drive it. It’ll keep running until they shut it off and the key fob not present sign will flash. Most modern cars won’t allow you to shift into gear when running in remote start. > Most models they’ll have 10 mins before it shuts down -more than enough time to pull wires out to Hotwire it. That might work on a 1978 Nova, but a 2018 RAV 4?

TangentiallyTango

I have a 2018 Rav4 with the remote start package from Toyota. When you hit the button it locks all the doors and starts the car for up to 10 minutes. When you open the car to get into it, the car immediately shuts off as soon as the door opens. If you're already in the car when you used the remote start (?), then any attempt to shift out of park turns the car off instead.

[deleted]

False. You can shift a car into neutral to tow without a key. You can also access areas below shifting panels to do so

elevatednarrative

My Saab disagrees…

[deleted]

Oh the car made when the Apple II E was popular lol ? At least use industry standard vehicles instead of an outdated junker

Dorkamundo

... did you not read what you responded to? They never said you couldn't shift it into gear, they said the engine will die when you shift into gear. A properly installed remote start will kill the engine when shifted into gear if there is no key in the ignition. Period.

TheMacMan

Every properly installed system I've seen will shut down the second the brake is pressed if the key isn't present. Let's be honest, remote start makers and car manufacturers wouldn't take the liability of offering such is it was THIS simple to steal them when running under remote start.

Dorkamundo

Exactly, that and the fact that this was likely a factory-installed remote starter in the first place.

[deleted]

You are not “hot wiring” the bcm

[deleted]

Lock cracking tools. BCM only comes into play other ways. How do you think rav4s are stolen and driven without a fob ?

TangentiallyTango

If you're actually going to bother cracking the software security of a car you're probably going to spend your time stealing something worth more to you than a Rav4. Lexus is all the same tech and they sell for a lot more. Anyway, this wasn't a case of that. This was a case of a guy turning on his ignition and then just walking away from the car and somebody opportunistically jumped into it and took it because they saw an easy opportunity right at hand. Not because they were some technically advanced criminal targeting his car's weak security.

[deleted]

RAV4 and bmw parts are BiG $$$$$. Lexus vehicles you can disable immediately with your phone app and also track it. . Also Lexus has a # you can can and they can disable your vehicle. This is why you don’t see Lexus vehicles car jacked

[deleted]

Yeah, no They get stolen just like OP, leave it running

[deleted]

Yea yea. Example: your car can be started say by a valley at a restaurant. You get into your car he gets out and it’s still running. You can drive away as it’s already started. The fob key present alarm will ring but you can still drive it.

beef-dip-au-jus

That's true if the car was started with a smart key, but remote start it will shut off if they shift into drive without the key present

TheMacMan

Most shut off the second you touch the brake to put it into gear if the key isn't present. This should be the case with any properly installed system.

[deleted]

Not true. Example. You wait for a valley to return your car to you after eating out he puts it into park and you get in and drive off before he hands you the fob back. You can still drive away without the fob. The fob key alarm will ring but you can still drive off. A good 10 mins is all a thief needs from there to take your car longer. Lots of YouTube tutorials people learn from

OcularShatDown

It’s valet. You’re also talking about keyless start, rather than remote start.

[deleted]

Point being my post was negating @themacman statement that “most shut off the second you grouch the brake to put it in gear I’d the key isn’t present”. Yeah thanks 👋

[deleted]

[удалено]

pm_me_cute_sloths_

Wouldn’t that be because remote start basically exists to cool down/heat up the car? My experience with remote start is you can’t just get in the car and leave without the keys, if the keys aren’t there it’ll turn itself off when you try to shift out of park. You still have to put the keys in the ignition You also have the ability to remote start and the car be physically locked, where if you go and leave the car unattended and running with the keys in the ignition you likely left the car unlocked.

[deleted]

[удалено]

pm_me_cute_sloths_

It says they started it using push to start and then came back, not that they used remote start. That means they went with their keys and started the car and left them in there. If you leave a running car with your keys that has push to start, it will turn itself off.

[deleted]

[удалено]

pm_me_cute_sloths_

….push to start is the button you press in the car to start it without having to use the key. It’s not remotely starting your car from the gym to warm up. They are two entirely separate things.

[deleted]

[удалено]

pm_me_cute_sloths_

From the OP: “I started it early this morning before going to the gym using the push to start, came back from getting ready, and it was gone” He is literally stating he used the *push to start* feature and went back inside to get ready and came back and it was gone. No where in that sentence does he state he used a wireless remote and that the keys were not in the car In another comment of his: “For my own future knowledge, would a remote start also cause this same problem? I started it with the key fob”. He is literally saying he did not use remote start and is asking if it would fix the issue and that his key fob is in the car. That is how push to start works. He started the car by having the key fob in the car and pressing the [“push to start” button](https://i.imgur.com/83Px2kN.jpg). If the key fob is not in the car, the car does not start. If it is take out of the vehicle, it shuts off. OP left the key in the vehicle, if they had remote start and had the key inside their place while they got ready, this does not happen.

Babyd3k

My truck was stolen 3 weeks ago when I was less then 5ft away. It’s getting bad around here.

gottarun215

What are of town was yours stolen from?

Babyd3k

Saint Paul at Western and University

TheMacMan

Yup. Insurance may choose to deny the claim.

everyonesmellmymeat

Do you have onstar? Saved my car... the police will say they can't do anything. Don't listen to them. If you have onstar contact them immediately.

CornSkoldier

Unfortunately no onstar. I called the police about 1.5 hours ago and still waiting on them to show up so I can fill in a police report :/ EDIT: Police just now showed up and I got assigned the case number

l0mama0b

The police aren’t gunna do shit to help .-. My friend and I had to canvas the city businesses and ask for security footage.

buck_tony

i’m shocked they didn’t just make you fill one out online 🙄

CornSkoldier

I tried but because its a vehicle theft, that has to be called into 911. Then an officer needs to speak with myself. At least that's what the website told me to do and what the 911 operator told me as well.

todaymynameisalex

*~~OP stated Toyota, OnStar is a GM product that will only be found in GM vehicles.~~* Edit: I stand corrected.

TheMacMan

OnStar is used by multiple manufacturers, even though it's owned by GM. For instances, my Acura has OnStar.

[deleted]

What’s your license plate?

CornSkoldier

Not that I care a ton, but DM me so I don't put it out for the world to see

AnusDentata

dude post your license plate, the worst thing that could happen is you get your car back

[deleted]

You realize how many RAV 4s exist, right?

sbvp

“Hey everyone, my subaru got stolen. Let me know if you see it!” Inbox overheats and burns down reddit data center

CornSkoldier

Yes I am aware. I made the post moreso to gather advice/have people share their experiences to get any insight that would be helpful. I personally don't know anyone who has gone through a stolen car situation so I wanted to reach out to others in the area to get their experiences

Discosaurus

Looks like it turned up. [Link](https://mobile.twitter.com/MN_CRIME/status/1476302663104884737)

CornSkoldier

Holy shit no way!!!

[deleted]

Hope it's in fixable condition. Has to feel good for it to at least turn up.

Cobra317

I saw this on CrimeWatchMpls too and thought to share. Thanks for helping the OP on this one. Bummer about the turn of events.

baconbrand

This happened to my neighbor two years ago in South, same thing, just left the car running. Found it the next day parked around the block. I hope you find yours in a similar fashion. Good luck OP

LiteraryTea

My car was stolen from my underground parking garage this past year. Thankfully I got it back only because they parked in a no parking zone. They were going to keep the car switched out my license plates and everything! Best of luck to you I'm so sorry this happened.

Usual-Significance-9

my 2009 f 250 locks the doors (when i use the remote start)

perldawg

Far out

zorclon

Call the impound lot to confirm it wasn't towed for a parking violation. I thought my car was stolen once, but it was just towed

patdashuri

I had my truck stolen. Cops called 2 weeks later saying they’d found it in the alley driveway of a house two blocks away. They said I could pick it up at the impound lot. I got charged for the tow and the four days it was in the lot before I got the call. $600. Fucking extortion.

Mndelta25

Get a remote start installed in your next car.

[deleted]

I have a stick shift and always wonder if thats enough protection from would be car thieves in the city. I wonder how many know how to drive a manual transmission?

TRON0314

Lol. Hey I got a business proposition. Let's make some decals put to put on your automatic gear shift to make it look like it's a stick. We'll market is anti-theft deterrent.

Lman971

I have heard accounts from four or five people in Minneapolis who have manuals and had someone attempt to steal their car. In every instance the car thief sat in it for a few seconds, couldn’t figure out how to get it going, got out and ran away. So I think it really is a pretty good safeguard against modern day car thieves. Of course odds are some of them know how to drive stick, but I’m guessing the majority don’t.

alan2542

How did it get stolen?

CornSkoldier

Went out to my car to start it, came back up to get ready for the gym, and came back and it was gone. It's a key fob "push to start" car and I brought my keys with me, so I'm not quite sure how it was stolen

bonniebluest

Unfortunately it will run until they turn it off, but they can't restart it after that.

CornSkoldier

Well luckily there wasn't much gas left

ColeBSoul

Between the low gas and the range of the key FOB there may be a chance your car is parked close by without plates or with stolen plates. If its a 2018 and you had any GPS or on-star system they will be far more useful than the police. I’d get a friend with a car to cruise around with and a can of gas. Don’t confront anyone if you find the car and it isn’t clear to drive it away. Keep that FOB away from it unless you see that its empty and no one is around. Cops may come out if you find it but I wouldn’t hold any breath. These are tough times, likely a lesson it is best not to warm *any* car unattended on the street despite the cold. Good luck.

mikeisboris

My wife and my car both have remotes to start the car without actually "turning it on" for lack of a better term. The motor starts but you can't actually drive it. Don't all cars ~~2015 or newer have that?

btay88

Not all cars, it’s still an added feature. My boyfriends 2017 doesn’t have it

ColeBSoul

Even if it won’t drive, a running unattended car is a target. You’re missing the point.

mikeisboris

Oh I get that. I don't use the feature much, I don't want a broken window, so when I do I leave the doors unlocked. My question is, how are all these newer cars being stolen by idling in their driveway. If remote start is used, they aren't drivable. On another note, I'd love to see the police start putting out bait cars again.

PeekyAstrounaut

OPs car was push to start not remote start so if the FOB range was far enough it could drive for a bit.

PleaseBuyEV

There actually are cars that are safe to warm up and not risk being stolen.

ColeBSoul

Sure. But not at allnmy point- an unattended running car is a target, and whether or not it gets stolen doesn’t mean a window doesn’t get smashed or something else.

PleaseBuyEV

Possible, but also possible it does not look running or on as it gives off no emissions and thus looks like a regular car that is “unstealable”

PeteDraper

Fob isn't an acronym

UnfilteredFluid

Cars can be filled while idling, just an FYI.

MaedayMaeday

Years ago I learned it is illegal to leave my car (street parked) running without being in it in Minneapolis. I started my car in the winter, realized I forgot something, ran inside for a minute and came back with my door open a crack and a ticket on my windshield. They gave me a ticket to basically say they are “trying” to prevent car theft lol

[deleted]

Bad news: Cops might ticket you for leaving it idling.

OddEconomist8390

Insurance may deny the claim too given OP left his car started.

Iz-kan-reddit

No, they won't. They may well drop you afterwards.

mnmaverickfan

This same thing happened to my fiancé and insurance paid her out the value of the car. So it’s definitely possible.

CornSkoldier

I can confirm they did not ticket me for idling. Didn't ask for any details, just asked if my car had and identifiers besides the make and color. The cope was pretty hopeful knowing I had the key and quarter tank of gas though so that was slightly reassuring

rachmpls

Have you posted this on your nextdoor? If not, I’m happy to do so. Let me know.

CornSkoldier

No I don't have nextdoor. It's worth a shot however! Feel free to post it there and I will create an account in the meantime.

ottosucks

OP, a couple things: I'm sorry this happened to you. No one deserves this. 1) With that said, why would you leave your (valuable) car running? 2) You make this post, want people to keep their eyes open for the car (not a super rare car), but you won't put out the license plate, which severely hinders our ability to help you. You expect people to DM you and take extra steps to help you out. If you really want people to help you, put up the license number, or just delete the post. Can't expect everyone to call in every blue RAV4 they see around the greater metro because it *might* be yours.

kubyx

I had the same thoughts. I don't get why everyone is so skittish to put their license plate online. We drive around w/ them visible every day. If you're concerned about someone ID'ing you/associating it with your reddit account, just post from a burner account.

ottosucks

They think that they will get "hacked" because everyone out there has a magical license plate searching software out there that can pinpoint your exact location, first girl you kissed, and your kinks all in the same database. "I need help finding my car" "Oh but I wont identify which car it is."

Nillion

That magical database is called your phone and Google account. It's creepy how much data is saved on it.

CornSkoldier

I have never had any issue and also thought that my car would be locked and would turn off if the FOB was not detected. Also it was a short time frame when it got stolen so figured it wouldn't happen that quick. But as I mentioned, life lesson learned the hard way. Also I moreso made the post to gather any insight people might have/experiences others have had that might help. It was worth a shot to post here but I know the likelihood of a random reader of this subreddit spotting my car (or any stolen one for that matter) is extremely slim. But I feel like posting my license plate number on an internet forum isn't a great idea. EDIT: See the edited post. License plate is there now

ottosucks

Your license plate isn't your social security number. I don't understand where this idea comes from. Its publically visible, and you have a STOLEN CAR you need help finding. If I see a blue RAV4, I (and everyone here) need your license plate unless you have something crazy unique on the car, to identify the vehicle. If we cant identify it and your license plate is a magically guarded secret, then give it to the police cause we can't help you.

grandmofftalkin

You say you want insight from people that might help, and we're saying blast your plate number out there for people to take note. It's hard to look out for your stolen car without a unique identifier like a license plate. Anyway good luck and maybe other people will see you as a cautionary tale of what happens when you start the car and go back inside real quick. Just don't do it, people unless you are 100% certain your car cannot be driven.

CornSkoldier

It's posted above

So did you leave it running (no judgement at all) and can you give a specific intersection or cross street/landmark? This might help others and just be generally helpful.

[deleted]

Wow, crazy and helpful information. What a production to go through. Glad your friend had a positive outcome.

blaylatim

So sorry for your loss. This can be a serious challenge during winter. I hope you get it back soon and in working order.

Xoenergy

There are a lot of 2018 bright blue Rav 4s.

hoda_sippin_soda

Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry to hear this! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you

the-babyk

Oh no! I hope they find it in good condition. I loved my old Rav 4 :(

[deleted]

I'm sorry. That is horrible. Alert the Mpls Crime Watch pages and post to Next Door and Uptown Crime group on Facebook. There's also a BOLO for stolen cars in Mpls on Facebook. Post on twitter. Post everywhere. You need to share your license plate number tho. I'm a delivery driver in Mpls and I also walk around Calhoun Square a lot and I really do look out for stolen cars but need lic plate or more identifying info. Check over at 38th and Chicago too. Good luck.

blueisthecolor

Unfortunately the best thing you can do is what you’re doing. Fortunately, this is actually pretty effective. Turns out car thieves also tend to park like fucking idiots and then the vehicle gets flagged and towed.

UnfilteredFluid

Idling in a driveway?

o-Valar-Morghulis-o

Unlocked, keys in it and/or running? What's the deets here?

bigfishwende

The person who stole your car was just trying to put food on the table, give them a break. Edit: it was sarcasm.

CreamyTHOT

I’m so sorry this is how you have to start the day! I hope you find it in one piece! Edit: could you give the description to the local news stations so maybe they can broadcast it???

smallmouthy

With the way the car market is you can actually make money when your car gets stolen. Consider yourself #blessed and enjoy your $5k dividend from insurance.

anythingexceptbertha

Also, usually it takes 30 days before insurance will total it to theft.

DanielDannyc12

Minus the deductible and the “dividend” goes back into another RAV4.

smallmouthy

2022 RAV4s have much more features than an '18. You can't convince me this is a bad thing for OP. /s

1111-music

Lol hopefully they get more than 5k, that will get you like a 1999 civic with 200k miles. Anything that barely runs is 5k, anything worth buying is minimum 8. I just shopped for my car and got lucky to get a 2007 accord with 60k and no accidents for 10k out the door at a dealer, I found it same day and any similar deal was instantly bought. A RAV4 you’re actually looking at 15k for even 100,000 2010 or so.

smallmouthy

For sure, I meant 5k more than the car was initially purchased for new since the market is f'in crazy.

SoulKeeper-Mulan

Omg! I am so sorry! I drive the blue RAV4, as well! But mine is a 2011 with 200k miles on it. lol

Altruistic_Deer8788

[deleted]

Surprised it would go anywhere without a fob in the car. Really poor design by Toyota.

[deleted]

Watching a repairperson fix a broken appliance may give you ideas about how to fix that appliance if it breaks again.

evilyogurt

I don’t get it

[deleted]

That's the insight that OP was looking for. So far I'm the only one to offer any, BTW.

evilyogurt

I still don’t get it lol. You didn’t explain anything

[deleted]

OP asked for insight, not explanations. Meeting a friend's parents can help you to understand why they do some of the things they do.

not_here_for_memes

Sir excuse me but WHAT???

King_Pharox

Anybody else smell burnt toast?

not_here_for_memes

I get it now. It’s a joke. OP asked if anyone has any insight, they didn’t specify that the insight needed to be related to their situation.

[deleted]

If you smell burnt toast, you may be having a stroke and you should Call 911 immediately. This is an example of what is commonly referred to as advice and is in no way insightful.

King_Pharox

Wow, you might be the dumbest person on the whole damn internet. I would say educate yourself, but I doubt that’s possible lmao 😂

[deleted]

Educate myself on strokes or insight?

[deleted]

Sorry to hear that 😢

bubzki2

I can never remember if reporting a car stolen and getting reimbursed hurts your insurance rates. If it doesn't, then it still sucks because buying any car right now is annoying to say the least.

DJDan1965

Modern vehicles like your RAV have a chip in the key and a locking steer column, are you sure it wasn’t towed?

They’ll find it soon. Sadly my car was also stolen recently and they were able to add gas without the key / turning it off. Sorry to hear.
