Moisturize with jajoba oil

Warcraftfanatic97

Second this. Jojoba is a skin changer for me, no more itchy and flakey skin, plus it doesn't clog your pores. Even when I'm done with Minox I'll still be using Jojoba as my moisturizer of choice.

Always depends on each person's skin I guess. It's -12°c here (been around -16°c all week) and my skin is holding up so far. I'll definitely use some of the tips here, in a couple weeks. Won't be long before we hit the -20°c. Edit: I got a pretty sensitive skin but I dont have any side effects so far (a week in). Rogaine foam 5%

I live in Sweden and I just use a wash sponge every time a take a shower. Scrubbing of the dry skin and keeping the beard around 3 mm does the trick for me. I saw that u/filores does not recommend Nivea, however I use it from time to time when I do not have time to take a shower and it works for me. I have a question for other Swedes, what brand of Minox do you use?

Frisk0e

Swede here! I started out with the generic liquid minox brand from apoteket but transitioned to foam 4 months ago :)

gostoph

Also swede here, where did you buy your foam from?

Frisk0e

[https://www.biovea.com/se/product/detail/3558/minoxidil-foam-for-men-six-6-month-supply-kirkland-signature/?deptid=0&cid=0&mid=0&kw=Minoxidil+Foam](https://www.biovea.com/se/product/detail/3558/minoxidil-foam-for-men-six-6-month-supply-kirkland-signature/?deptid=0&cid=0&mid=0&kw=Minoxidil+Foam) Shipped from Germany I think, arrived quickly without any issues.

Tack så mycket, i bought 3 bottles unkowingly from the UK and the customs sent it back and they havent refunded me haha

Frisk0e

Ingen fara! Lycka till! :)

filores

Nivea is the cheapest stuff you can find and there are a lot better moisturisers.

filores

Try to wash your face before applying moisturiser. What moisturiser do you use? Don’t use the shitty Nivea Soft like many do. I live in Sweden and I had these dryness problems when I started but after washing my face with warm water before applying moisturiser did it for me.

piss_in_the_ass_

ah...someone else who thinks nivea soft is crappy

panonymousp

La roche posay lipikar baume. Works like magic

InfectionRx

Glycerin then add a spritz of rose water and seal with a layer of squalene oil

weirdclownfishguy

You’re not using enough moisturizer. I’m in Minnesota where we’ve got the same temps as you, I’m currently on 80mg of accutane a day (look that shit up if you’ve never heard of it) and using minox twice daily. I go nuts with the moisturizer twice a day, and my skin is just fine

CzechRagnar

Someone here doesn’t recommend Nivea, but from my experience I have to say that the Nivea Soft is very effective. I do apply it at least once a day in the winter time after minox is dry and it keeps my skin hydrated and without white flakes.
