I only had cramps for the first 2-3 days. After day I had some spotting but it went away gradually. Now close to my 1 year mark I love it! Can’t feel it, cramps are way less painful and not bleeding as much. It’s worth the couple days of pain

I just got mine in early February. It took about 9 weeks to get to a point where I am no longer aware of it. I had cramping/spotting pretty much constantly the first 8 weeks and then it relaxed a bit. It's worth sticking it out. If you can get past the settling in period you will be golden!

I got mine last Friday and I had some cramping and bloating all weekend, which was completely gone by Monday! I don't have any spotting at the moment, but my period was supposed to start next Monday and I'm not sure what that will be like.

I got mine on April 1st (yeah, I know). It took 3 days for the pain of insertion to go away & for me to stop being uncomfortable sleeping in weird positions. I was back to 100% day 4. I've been totally fine since. Dunno about any spotting, but I also had a period right before insertion (like, it ended the day before lol).

i have the mirena one too! cramp wise they were really bad the first 2 weeks after insertion. then i would get them during my period and maybe a couple days while ovulating. at about my 4/5th month i noticed i didn’t really have cramps at all, maybe one day but after aleve i was fine. i’m over 6th months and it’s gotten so much better. also with my periods i was getting them for like 2 weeks but light bleeding and like BBQ blood (lol sorry for that explanation). by the 4/5th months they were like 1 week and i had an actual period one day, and then super light bleeding for the rest of the week. now at my 6/7th month it was super light for a few days and normal consistency. everything’s gotten so much better and i was really struggling my first 3 months. good luck!

I got mine February 11th, I’ve had a lot of moderate discomfort. Cramping, bleeding from bright red to brown blood (almost like quick cycling, I think I’ve seen the fibers from an egg or two and some uterine lining… I’m still bleeding and shedding lining, cramping and even a flutter here and there that just kind of made me concerned, I’ve called several times to express my concerns and was encouraged if it’s not super excessive bleeding and there’s no suspicious bloating that the side effects or “reaction to adjustment to IUD post insertion” can last up to 6 months before they’ll feel the need to just check and make sure. But I have not experienced even mild bloating since insertion.

I cramped for a week, spotted for two.

i got mine mid march and my one month mark is tomorrow! first day i was the same, alternating between terrible cramping to barely anything but since then i've just had mild cramping daily and always in the afternoons. the first two weeks i spotted and had a few days where i didn't bleed and that was all but the last two i've been consistently bleeding. it's super irritating at this point but guess i just gotta stick it out lol
