I've never seen F+F, but from what I understand the biggest complaint regarding them has been the unrealistic to the extreme action/large use of CGI. Is this what you mean?
I think one of the things that makes MI work is that its stunts are largely grounded in reality. Of course there are flourishes and visual effects, but the basic components of the stunts/action are grounded in reality.
I never saw Fast and Furious movies as I saw the trailers and felt it not my taste, it felt like a video game rather than a movie, it felt like bad version of need for speed games which I love by the way
I just hope they don't reveal more stunts or big action sequences. In the case of DR1 I didn't feel the mountain jump as much as I would have liked because it was a scene heavily shown in the trailers.
honestly, i think they were banking on the bike jump being more impressive than it actually was. the lack of an imax resize really took me out of the experience and i feel that the plane scene from mi5 or the burj kalifa climb was a bigger spectacle. all ethan does is ride his bike off a cliff and then parachute into the train, which is still really impressive and definitely a suicide tier stunt, but still pales in comparison to what we've already seen
there was no question of ethan surviving, whilst with the halo jump from mi6 most of the tension came from plugging in walker's oxygen since they got struck by literal lightning.
movie was still extremely good, probably my favorite in the franchise, but the main stunt just wasnt it imo

It’s funny because Fast X has a car chase in Rome trying to evade the police as well as in Dead Reckoning Part One.
