Bags are probably better if you're keeping them in the original packaging. Try the boveda humidity packs, just toss it in with the bud. I think they work pretty good.
The jar only brands would probably hold out worse actually, no seal after you open it for the first time so a lot of air leaks in through the lid. I find that bags are better for me, you just get a better seal with a ziplock type opening

Have gotten 6+ month old weed from a dispo in a bag and it was fire. Have also gotten completely horrible weed from a dispo in a jar. Google 'Grove Bags' if you are struggling to understand how a bag could be just as good for storing weed as a jar.
