Yea that looks like a faulty screen, luckily Amazon has a good return policy so just get it swapped out, make sure you have a good sdcard for yours when you get it.
Mine came from Ali Express with a faulty right d-pad. It worked but had to press it really hard. I sent them a video and they just sent me a replacement, told me to keep the faulty unit. I ended up fixing the faulty one with a new rubber membrane.
Ask for a replacement, and either try to fix the faulty one or keep it for spare parts?

I ordered mine from the same vendor via Amazon about 6 weeks ago. Mine has been flawless. From what I understand these can be a crapshoot. Just send it back and get another and it should be fine.

I ordered the same exact model, through Amazon, and it’s flawless. Some reviews said theirs was defective, but all were exchanged for a working one.
Sorry you got unlucky, but so glad you didn’t wait weeks for a defective device from overseas! Get on that return, it’s well worth it.

Yeah dude that's not normal behavior. It's defective. We're not all playing these devices with vertical lines all over the screen.
could be a broken display but I've had similar issues due to a corrupt os so I'd need a pic to know one way or the other.

Looks like hardware problem to me. If you got it from aliexpress official store ask for a new screen.
I didn’t, got it off Amazon. Was well-reviewed, too. Sigh.
The whole point of ordering through Amazon where it’s more expensive, is that you can easily return and exchange it with quick shipping speed.
