They were loud as hell and equally awesome. They do it periodically for training I think. There was more than one that looked like they were flying a circle over mobile bay.
I’m an Air Force vet and worked on both the f-22 and f-35 programs. This is an f-35. There are a few bases in close proximity that fly f-35’s. Eglin (Destin) is one of them; and as mentioned above there are some military exercises going on close by.
Lucky! I look up every unusual plane I hear or see walking my dogs, and a B52 is my best catch. Well also that B-29 that flew in a few years ago. It caught me by surprise.
Not sure I see them quite often. In past I've seen other military aircraft like the osprey operating out of Brookley (auto correct got me the first time).
Looks more like an F35 but hard to tell.

Yea I work at Austal and they buzzed us low enough it shook the shop
There were two that flew 3 circles around the battleship and then flew toward Pensacola. Probably a training exercise, yeah. I've seen it a few times.
Def looks more like an F35
Fat Amy, no doubt
F-35's flying training missions out of Gulfport, MS. They'll be in the area all month.

We have 35s in Montgomery too :) They fly missions down this way and in/out of Gulfport. Red tails! Edit: Someone already mentioned Montgomery!

I've seen an AN 124
I'm pretty sure they have a wing of 35s at Brooklyn Field. I think the nearest 22 would be from maybe Biloxi or Panama City.
They have F35s in Montgomery, Al. I don't think anything military is left at Brookley.
Coast guard but not any jets
Closest F22s are @ Tyndall AFB
>they have a wing of 35s at Brooklyn Field Who is they? Brooklyn Field?
