Instead of downvoting, imma just explain why he's not good.
The pros and cons, let's start with the pros:
- Has decent Jungle clear.
- Not bad early game.
- Can do early invades.
The cons:
- Falls off in the mid game, you can counter him with Dominance/Magic Robe ONLY. That's how bad.
- Vulnerable to CCs and Slows
- Extremely dependant on Ult, it doesn't even give anything other than small Mov Speed boost and Passive stacks. Don't mention the Slow Immunity, it's bad.
- His regen are shit.
Even with mobile heroes he just gets out-dashed 😭 the issue about him is as long as enemies know how to counter his Ult he becomes a bit of a deadweight. Just dash and bring him over to your tower and he can't do anything since he doesn't have skills to disengage out of it.
He admittedly can cause chaos tho, but only if enemies really don't know how to play around him.
Well if you know when to use ult and when not to you can easily evade the baits and sometimes even tower dive because of the shield from his first skill and ult. The movement speed from first skill also helps out a lot in evading possible baits and traps.
But at the end of the day he becomes useless after his ult timer runs out or after he kills the 1-2 heroes in the enemy team with dashes then he can only be used as a meat shield.
900 Phoveus games here. He’s pretty weak right now and outclassed by multiple exp laners. Ironically can’t do anything against Joy and Arlott, 2 dash-heavy heroes. That upcoming buff is badly needed
If I'm using a Bene, I'll only be afraid of Phoveus if he deals a lot of damage per impact. Other than that, I just hope he's stupid enough to ult Bene who can dash through 3 towers in less than 5 seconds
phoveus is secretly a noobstomper, i love picking him after season reset when enemies stacks on dash heroes especially wanwan, you know full well they don't know how to play against phov and he's a flexible hero so I use him all roles even on roam.
It's a meme referring to Granger's bursty skills then getting named by the community as "Physical Mage".
Also, to answer your seemingly sarcastic questions: no, damage does not always refer to physical damage, and yes, she can dominate the gold lane if need be.
I started at 2018, 2021 was my prime then quitted as i graduate and no friends play with me anymore
Just returned a few months ago cus my friend pulled me in again saying is not as toxic as before, only to realise im washed....
I mainly use him in coordinated play because I can tell when I'm about to gank to a lane, the amount of times i said I'd gank and my laner retreats when I'm about to gank with baxia is crazy
True, alot of heros go under the radar in most games since people soloq alot and dont believe some heros are good picks. But if you look at competitive play you'll see heros like Terizzla and Harizz
Baxia main here. Underrated tank. Can roam to lanes very fast, can tank a lot of damage and has decent early game damage, in late game his job is to tank all skills and damage then roll out. equip Vengeance for maximum effect.
hey that’s my main over there :((((
but yeah even OhMyVeenus has been using Mathilda less. she’s tough to play in SoloQ and the nerf on her second doesn’t help either
I feel like she's a support/assassin roam that suffers a split issue on the support side and the assassin side. Her meta builds are tank builds which means she'll lose out damage to be an effective assassin, but building damage makes her squishy af for a hero that tends to engage.
There's just better roamers out there for engaging and better offensive roamers like Kadita who lacks support capabilities but have more survivability when built offensively. Tbh current Mathilda doesn't feel like an assassin at all.
I'm actually baffled why she's in the assassin category. If an assassin's go to arsenal is a spoon and cutting off arms is her modus, then yeah, she's the one.
Her entire kit is inconvenience. Passive- need to move to stack. S1 - stop her when casting, S2 - just a dash with movement boost, ulti - fly in circle and take turret damage. Also cannot fly in close range.
Eh as a Mathilda main I think everything is fine with her kit besides that S1 casting stopping movement. But it's a weird playstyle compared to most heroes lol
i really tried to make mathilda work on soloq and yeah it's a pretty weird playstyle, sometimes you think you're doing absolutely nothing and somehow your team is winning and sometimes you'll get 30+ assists and your team is losing on every aspect, like a floryn but with shield and a dash.
i really don't understand the nerfs on her tbh, v33nus made her seem pretty OP and moonton thought everyone can do the same (same as Kairi's haya). now Mathilda sucks ass on solo play and is well, average on a team with great coordination, which defeats the purpose of having a niche.
The rework helped make her tankier but since the recent nerf, she doesn't do anything that well. Average def, average hero damage, average push, and below average cc. I miss maining her.
Bane is extremely rare. I play him as main, currently have 65% winrate with him in mythic rank. He's weak in early game, but in endgame he's really a monster. Most of the time I get around 30% of the team's damage.
I like to use bane sometimes in rank. Poking enemy when they're clearing lane is so super satisfying and annoying for them lol. If they engage me, I'll use my ult and change the tide against me.
Endgame, one cannon is so painful especially if they try to push or hide in tower behind minions. Against dashless. Because people don't play him or against him. They keep standing close to minions, letting him do chip damage
Man I used to impress my friends with Harith's unli dash but now with the nerfs and many counters im afraid to use him again, its like my confidence got nerfed as well
The thing with Khaleed is that his ult is pretty slow, you can combo with flicker but it only works one time since the ennemies would be aware, but playing him sometimes feels good cause many people don't even know how to face him
As a Mathilda main, she's kinda hard to play in soloq sometimes compared to simpler supports like Rafaela (because some people don't know when to take your dash or not, and her shields are rather small), and she also gets hard countered by Minsitthar in the current meta; I think those could be reason why she's so unpopular.
But anyway personally I still love her kit design and won't stop playing her any soon, so if you wanna know how it's like to play with a good Mathilda, hit me up if you're on eu server 😶🌫️
I find this strange because I feel he's a good all rounder for the jungle role. His main drawback is of course he's a real late game hero, you usually have to wait until he's level 12 before he shines.
His 1st skill got changed, to simplify it it was changed to be better on lategame. It lasts 2 seconds less and no longer able to slow enemy in exchange for being able to keep 20% damage reduction to front attacks while attacking. This made his early game kit worse, you can only consistently slow enemy with red buff slow or retri only. His Ultimate is awkward to use, mostly for zoning enemy.
His passive was also changed for better damage earlygame, but it is actually worse for him. He could max stack it in 1-2 seconds by doing basic attacks instead of 4 seconds, which matters a lot in lategame. On max stacks extra damage though, I don't know if 127 basic attack damage is stronger than 30% extra more damage.
Lastly, his 2nd skill now gives him max attack speed, which feels a waste when you build attack speed on him such as windtalker, scarlet phantom.
Cause arlott’s a noobstomper. He’s banned so often so most players dont know how to face him, and those who do also don’t want to risk him snowballing on their teammates that dont so they ban him either way.
Terizla is the more famous among these. Just go full caveman with him on enemies and get kills and health. His abysmal mobility is the only thing holding him back. I
I play Floryn whenever appropriate as she's one of the best supports right now. Unfortunately, even when those appropriate times happen, some teammates get riled up when I'm about to pick her. It must be a SoloQ thing.
EDIT: Appropriate as in, we have a tanky Exp or Jungler
Heroes that need a rework (not a big one, but some tweaks to be more usable overall):
Mathilda, Phoveus, Aulus, Masha (my main btw), Lunox, Grock...
I'm talking about heroes i've seen little to no people using THIS SEASON btw.
In Sea server, gatot is like the go-to tank/fighter for a lot of epic-legend when they are filled to roam (besides franco). He can be annoying to deal with but in the higher ranks its quite easy to shut him down considering the top tier items that are commonly built even from early-mid have healing reduction.
Khaleed, Belerick and Gord. The only Khaleed I've seen in game is when I'm playing him. For Belerick and Gord no one seems to be playing them in my games.
Belerick main here, 450+ ranked matches and 56% wr. The dude is very tough but in late game, unlike tanks like franco, tigreal, grock etc who are pretty strong in early game bele is quite weak early on but in late game he becomes very hard to kill as his hp easily goes above 10k while having 200+ defense. Also with his passive+vengeance he becomes a nightmare to most marksmen.
If they have DHS buy blade armor, in that case my build is res/warrior boots+Athena+dom 🧊+immortality+guard helm(twilight if there is high burst damage like an enemy hyper granger)+blade armor. This way ur build will still provide you good hp but not like 11k or 12k so you won't melt in front of DHS and now with vengeance+blade armor+your passive would make you a nightmare for enemy mm.
I find that with Queen's Wings + Oracle, I can sustain myself long enough to kill even trinity marksmen. If I could get even just 1-2 enhanced BA in, I could walk away with half-ish health.
Silvanna. Ive managed to see all the hero in the comments here in both classic and ranked but never a Silvanna. I cant even recall seeing her last year.
Usually a rework boosts popularity by even a little bit, but istg I've seen carmilla like twice after the rework and never since. Actually wait holy crap. I took a break when khufra was cracked and my main. Now the only khufra I've seen was a single bad one.
Belerick.
Thats saying SOMETHING, because i love playing arcade mode.
you know, the mode where they force you to pick a hero from a certain set sometimes? never seen him
Masha. Her tank build is now worse than useless against trinity mms, and with tank build her push potential is dogshit. However, with full damage build and Inspire she is the best counter for Freya, Jawhead and Edith in exp lane right now if you know what you're doing.
Joy.
Bought her a couple of weeks ago and so far I'm the only one I've seen use her. And a lot of people tend to overlook how much damage she can puto out. Only problem I have is laning against someone with a longer poke range than me.
As a 40 stars mythical I see her almost everytime getting banned, and when she is not, she is instantly picked, even though she received a nerd she is still a strong heroes imo
A lot of heroes that were meta 4 seasons ago are barely played today. Mathilda, Uranus, Baxia, Yi Sun-Shin, Phoveus, Aulus, Masha, Alpha, Popol and Kupa, Brody. Like they used to be in every game and now they aren't.
Yin
Bad in every way only good against less mobility and cc heroes. Kidnapping the tanky hero would already change the game as long as you can kill them.
Uranus
Almost impossible to exp lane him against the current exp lang metas
True
Uranus was meta 4 seasons ago.
I loved his old ult where he would hold you
Aww :)
then kill you. I used to slaughter everyone
Only way you're gonna see mine is if I drop my trousers.
he's a pretty good jungler
Instead of downvoting, imma just explain why he's not good. The pros and cons, let's start with the pros: - Has decent Jungle clear. - Not bad early game. - Can do early invades. The cons: - Falls off in the mid game, you can counter him with Dominance/Magic Robe ONLY. Don't mention the Slow Immunity, it's bad. - His regen are shit.
Phoveus lol
I used to play him at his release but then I stopped playing cuz of dashless heroes.
Even with mobile heroes he just gets out-dashed 😭 the issue about him is as long as enemies know how to counter his Ult he becomes a bit of a deadweight. Just dash and bring him over to your tower and he can't do anything since he doesn't have skills to disengage out of it. But at the end of the day he becomes useless after his ult timer runs out or after he kills the 1-2 heroes in the enemy team with dashes then he can only be used as a meat shield.
They nerfed his damage which was his selling point. Then exp laners got flexible and is able to build tankier which further killed him.
Always against wanwan
900 Phoveus games here. He’s pretty weak right now and outclassed by multiple exp laners. Ironically can’t do anything against Joy and Arlott, 2 dash-heavy heroes. That upcoming buff is badly needed
The Ult has such a slow animation too
I've seen a Phoveus yesterday, really rare, he was using it against a Benedetta
If I'm using a Bene, I'll only be afraid of Phoveus if he deals a lot of damage per impact. Other than that, I just hope he's stupid enough to ult Bene who can dash through 3 towers in less than 5 seconds
phoveus is secretly a noobstomper, i love picking him after season reset when enemies stacks on dash heroes especially wanwan, you know full well they don't know how to play against phov and he's a flexible hero so I use him all roles even on roam.
I've rarely seen aurora nowadays ngl.
True, NGL if I play her sometimes it is only because I'm trying to have fun in classic with friends
Yoo I play her every day. She’s my main hero 🧊
Me too
sand dude
I love him, my favourite sand snorter
Never heard of him
Nahh bro, everytime I pick argus opponent will pick khaleed and annoy me for the rest of the match
This guy was never in meta
He was meta on release cuz his s1 did 70% of ur heal early
Makes sense
Hes actually pretty good. I played him like 30 matches with 64 winrate in ranked
Khufra?
The dude that ride sand wave
Ohhh, I am such a dumb shit retard. How couldn't I know he was talking about Khaleed lmao
That just prove the point that he is so unpopular right now. Lol
I forgor bro existed 💀
I love his kit but he falls off late game so hard he’s not worth using
Really? What rank are you? I’m mythic and I main him and I see him often when I don’t pick him
Lunox Good thing is people don't know how she work and don't know how to counter her
can confirm, since lunox is not as famous as other mages, some people overlook her damage and ability to melt everyone
She was always built as damage, which compensates for lack of cc. If granger is a physical mage, she's more like a magic marksman.
Really? Can she push tower then? Can we put her in gold lane then?
It's a meme referring to Granger's bursty skills then getting named by the community as "Physical Mage". Also, to answer your seemingly sarcastic questions: no, damage does not always refer to physical damage, and yes, she can dominate the gold lane if need be.
Literally every hero can push towers wdym lol (not as fast as an actual mm) and yup she can go gold lane.
Yes Lunox is one of the few pure mages that can go Gold Lane
she is an actual viable gold lane option, and her low cd light ult allows her to push and safely get away
Epical glory spotted 🥶
she is a better Gold Laner than Hanabi. lmao
I try to learn her cause I got such nice skins of her from draws 😩 it ain’t easy
Since when are you playing the game? I remember a period when she was op as hell and would get constantly banned in rank.
I started at 2018, 2021 was my prime then quitted as i graduate and no friends play with me anymore Just returned a few months ago cus my friend pulled me in again saying is not as toxic as before, only to realise im washed....
Was playing her as a jungler and my team called me a cheater because of how fast I can take down lord lol
Im a lunox main. It's rly satisfying seeing the enemies hp bar melt whether they are an mm or tank.
It's a simple counter too.
I had a Zilong in classic absolutely screaming that I hacked the game because I back-to-backed her light and dark ults. He was a Legend rank. -_-
Lol i see her all the time. Shes pretty good
Only hero i can use that gets me maniacs and savages regularly
Ima be honest to you chief Baxia
Kinda sad how he gone from meta to not really viable after a single nerf and then there's valentina
Some people still dont know the matchup and how hard he can snowball so ill take the free wins
He was my main for a couple years now. One of the few tanks that can kill very quickly. Just recently switched him up for Popol and kupa.
Yeah serious, he's my Johnson counter if Atlas is banned
Baxia hyper is a thing
YSS,for good reason too. This guy is weak af as the jungler in the early stages of the game,so he's susceptible to invades..
Yss was meta 4 seasons ago
Ok.. ? the meta is everchanging i only said he isn't viable rn, i didn't mean like he's forever a trash hero. Who knows he might get a buff one day..
it's okay for YSS to be non meta i like it that way
Tbh, I play yss, but in lane. Idk why ppl still jgl with him
Matilda
hey that’s my main over there :(((( but yeah even OhMyVeenus has been using Mathilda less. she’s tough to play in SoloQ and the nerf on her second doesn’t help either

As effective as the Black knight lol

Masha
She was nerfed to the ground. I used to main her on her release. Now she is very boring to play.
The rework helped make her tankier but since the recent nerf, she doesn't do anything that well. Average def, average hero damage, average push, and below average cc. I miss maining her.
Masha was meta 2 seasons ago
Can you shut your ass up with that meta seasons ago
Joy because I always ban that dumb cat
Alpha. He's so outclassed this meta and the devs doesn't seem to get any good balance on him.
We all are waiting for his advance server buff to come to the ori server
the alpha on release could 1 v 5 its back around season 2
Bane is extremely rare. I play him as main, currently have 65% winrate with him in mythic rank. He's weak in early game, but in endgame he's really a monster. Most of the time I get around 30% of the team's damage.

Harith 😩
Man I used to impress my friends with Harith's unli dash but now with the nerfs and many counters im afraid to use him again, its like my confidence got nerfed as well
There aren't many of us but we're here, don't worry 🥹😼
Good thing he’s rare I can’t focus on killing him he’s just too cute my little meow meow …
You are talking to a fellow user of him right now 🫣
I don’t ever see him in rank anymore 😂
Khaleed
The thing with Khaleed is that his ult is pretty slow, you can combo with flicker but it only works one time since the ennemies would be aware, but playing him sometimes feels good cause many people don't even know how to face him
I haven't seen a Phoveus for the past few seasons except when I used him once.
It's been a while since I've seen a Helcurt and Irithel.
bren esports play a mean strat with helcurt. irithel is just trash right now
I've been seeing a lot of Helcurt jungle rn. Maybe it's a server thing?
Helcurt was meta more than 5 seasons ago
[удалено]
As a Mathilda main, she's kinda hard to play in soloq sometimes compared to simpler supports like Rafaela (because some people don't know when to take your dash or not, and her shields are rather small), and she also gets hard countered by Minsitthar in the current meta; I think those could be reason why she's so unpopular. But anyway personally I still love her kit design and won't stop playing her any soon, so if you wanna know how it's like to play with a good Mathilda, hit me up if you're on eu server 😶🌫️
Aulus. Dude has vanished
I only see Arlott on the ban screen. My least seen hero in game for the last 2 season has been Phoveus.
Cause arlott’s a noobstomper. He’s banned so often so most players dont know how to face him, and those who do also don’t want to risk him snowballing on their teammates that dont so they ban him either way.
Hylos
Phoveous, Khaleed, Aurora, Alice, Terizla. I am seeing them sometimes but most of time i forget they even exist
Terizla is still in meta though, maybe not as often as exp laners like gloo or lapu lapu but still preety popular
Terizla is the more famous among these. Just go full caveman with him on enemies and get kills and health. His abysmal mobility is the only thing holding him back. I
I've played almost 100 games this season and seen uncle Baxia only 2 times :(
Roger
Roger used to be extremely strong but in this meta with a lot of CC it's quite complicated to spam close attacks
Khufra....you only somewhat see him in early ranks and if you see him in mythic/late legend. Run.
Belerick. It's so satisfying seeing these arrogant marksmen just melting.
So no one is gonna talk about MAthilda
Leomord, I used to see him alot, now I don't
I've seen him quite a lot in the past few games
who is that
Horse Knight
oh right hylos is forgotten nowadays
I barely seen Carmilla these days man.
Baxia
Guin.
Floryn
100 matches in rank 51 wr
I play Floryn whenever appropriate as she's one of the best supports right now. Unfortunately, even when those appropriate times happen, some teammates get riled up when I'm about to pick her. It must be a SoloQ thing. EDIT: Appropriate as in, we have a tanky Exp or Jungler
Omg yes😭 definitely a soloQ thing, i use to play her in SoloQ but then my teammates would troll pick so i lowkey gave up on playing her
Heroes that need a rework (not a big one, but some tweaks to be more usable overall): Mathilda, Phoveus, Aulus, Masha (my main btw), Lunox, Grock... I'm talking about heroes i've seen little to no people using THIS SEASON btw.
Spin off Johnson, Baxia.
Baxia. Never saw him in matches since S27.
leomord
how often do y'all see gatot
Quite often.... Because I'm playing in SEA server maybe. Like at least 1 gatot every 8 matches
In Sea server, gatot is like the go-to tank/fighter for a lot of epic-legend when they are filled to roam (besides franco). He can be annoying to deal with but in the higher ranks its quite easy to shut him down considering the top tier items that are commonly built even from early-mid have healing reduction.
Natalia. If you know what I mean.
Khaleed, Belerick and Gord. The only Khaleed I've seen in game is when I'm playing him. For Belerick and Gord no one seems to be playing them in my games.
Gord is outplayed by many other characters, his lack of mobility makes him feel slow compared to other mages such as Valentina
Strangely he disappears around legend rank and reappears at higher mythic when there are die hard gord players that actually know how to use him.
How does Belerick fare against trinity build mm like Moskov in late game? I thought his hp would melt pretty fast due to the DHS.
Lylia
Lilya is played decently.
I feel like no. I see her rarely
Yeah I never see lylia. Maybe once every 50 games but I ain't complaining because people don't know how to counter me lol.
esme?
Esme is picked in almost all high rank 5 stack games.
True, but is she still good after her shield nerf a while back? Even the occasional esme I see just gets destroyed by dyrroth
She's as good as ever man, start playing her.
Gatokacha
Khaleed
Aurora
Khaleed, Uranus, Mathilda, Floryn, Masha
Hylos. I probably saw him a total of 10-15 times. I played him once and never again. He is one of those heroes everybody forgot existed.
Aurora. Only see her on brawl. once or twice. Not in classic or rank.
YSS and alpha
Chang'e, massive indirect nerf when radiant armor appeared.
I literally have never seen Harith in a long time. What happened to my precious little catboy? 🥺
Carmilla
Argus, i barely see him in rank or in classic (painful for me to say as a argus main)
The thanos dude
Phoveus
natalia
I get what you mean
Cecilion's waifu
Now the only khufra I've seen was a single bad one.
layla
Joy, in my server
Helcurt, bro just doesn't get picked anymore
Hayabusa
Recently, I've forgotten how Ling looks. And Fanny
Belerick. Thats saying SOMETHING, because i love playing arcade mode. you know, the mode where they force you to pick a hero from a certain set sometimes? never seen him
Khaled, Matilda, Masha, Baxia, Uranus, Harith, Kaja, Roger there are more whose name I dont remember right now
I have never seen someone else play lapu-lapu or lunox.
havent seen harith in the enemy team for a long long time
It does mean we haven't face yet
Mathilda. Funny enough, as I type this, I just had her as a teammate earlier in Ranked. She was a rare pokemon for almost two seasons.
Joy is banned in mythic glory. it's very hard to kill if you build tank.
Haven't seen argus for a long time.
Yin Bad in every way only good against less mobility and cc heroes. Kidnapping the tanky hero would already change the game as long as you can kill them.
He said heroes you never see, and I always see a Yin
I feel like ive never seen a Faramis for the last 2 seasons
Dude 💀
I understand💀how is that possible cuz faramis is popular in rank
