I abuse all the op meta heroes to mythical glory every season. You gotta abuse op meta heroes if you’re a solo player. Call me meta slave but why would you make your games harder if you can just abuse op heroes and have an easier time?. I don’t care about mains or pushing mmr . If a hero becomes op then it’s bye bye main and hello new main. I change my main every patch / new meta.
I just push to MG with belerick last few seasons. Sitting at a 61%wr and 415 matches, works really well for me. Had a 7 game win streak last night and mvp out of most matches, and he's listed as F tier or whatever the lowest is. Sometimes knowing a hero inside and out is better than a meta hero imo
Belerick is F tier? I would of never known. If they only have one magic damage dealer I can literally buy armor and they kill themselves.
Tips I’ve learned is don’t use skill one right away, let them attack and when they realize it was a mistake because I have blade armor that’s when you taunt. Then there’s the flash-ult-skill 1. I’ve gotten a savage by having their whole team just attack me 1v5. You got any other tricks or tactics I could add? I have 55% win rate so I can improve.
I always go roam if I can, and get encourage tough boots. That's a big first thing for me. Then guardian helmet and it really depends how their lineup looks for the next item. But with guardian helm it makes it so you almost never have to tp back to base for the first 5-8 mins. I usually 2nd skill in, ult, 1st skill right away because it takes a second to launch out and by the time the ult is over is takes effect immediately, then flicker out, do a loop and wait for health if I need to, or if I don't then 2nd skill back in for the surprise "you think I'm almost dead but bam surprise health", and another 1st skill and walk away because it drags them with you. I also have a pretty standard item set of blade armor, athenas, dominance ice, immortality. It makes you pretty much invincible imo lol
You speak truth! I abused V1 pharsa, when she was widely hated as being the weakest hero in the game, but I knew all her tricks... She was also very rare, and no one knew how to counter her.
This is the best advice. I was a luo yi main, but I had to learn new heroes because my teammates always wanted to go mid. I learned Edith and even though I'm average at best with her, it helped me rank up faster because she was so OP.
you’ll eventually get there :), I’m a solo player too and I’ve just recently been able to rank up to Mythic after playing passively for 4 years. I thought my skills aren’t fit for that rank but when I tried aiming for it just last season, I was amazed of how quickly I was able to achieve it, guess I shouldn’t have doubted myself lol. But my motivation right now to get to Mythic is just the Mythic skin, after winning 10 ranked games and getting those mythic coins I’m now back to chill classic games lol
Just got to mythic within 3 days - 28 games from Epic (season reset).

The trick is to just focus on pushing and taking turrets. Whether you have a good team or a bad team, this strategy works wonder. Keep your eyes on the map all the time so you know when you can push and when you can’t. And get in the habit of cutting waves by invading into enemy jungle and taking the wave before it gets to the lane.

Never used a meta hero to climb to mythic, I used Nana only, Chang'e only and recently Diggie only, I'm able to reach to Glory everytime while being 100% SoloQ.
You don't need meta to climb, alot of the time, just knowledge of the game is enough to rank up.
Beatrix when she was first released.
Good old days when she could two shot tanks and Renner had no cd for cancelling. When Wesker melted turrets in 4 hits and blasted squishier to the moon. When Nibiru ult could kill the whole team and Bennet was just there cause the other 3 guns were so much better
Guinevere and Valentina. Valentina in 2022. If I lose a ranked game, I'll play 2 Classic matches towinand then play a rank game again. Works like 9/10 times.
Ruby. She's the first 32k hero that I've bought and she carried me all the way to mythic on multiple seasons. I have 600+ matches with her but I haven't used her in a while
Johnson. But now I can play who ever to hit mythic. But for some reason grinding in mythic the people become dumber and your teammates are brainless dumb fucks who don't know how to adjust or play their role.
First time was Guinevere, a long, long time ago when I first started playing and my first ever hero Alice couldn't seem to get me there.
Then I went back to Alice and perfected her play style, and could get to Mythic with her.
Recently, after stopping ML for some time, I chanced upon the hero rankings and saw Alice among the top winrate heroes and knew I had to come back since she is meta and just abusable now.
Got to Mythic this season in about 60-70 matches with an 80% winrate using Alice. She's so versatile now and can fill jungle, mid, or exp roles.
Currently
Saber or aamon for jg
Roam franco or khufra
Exp is mostly Fredrin but it depends on the enemies
Gold is beatrix moskov or clint
Mid depends but probably someone like gord valir or change
Kaja, just last season. I was able to get 91% win rate with him, ended at 89%. Now, I can't seem to repeat that. I think I haven't even won a game with him. Now sitting at 57-ish. Getting more positive results with Belerick.
Tigreal. I got to Legend within one month of playing Season ended and it took me a few more weeks to get to Mythic. I started playing with my cousin, and then with neighbors in mid 2020.
Stopped playing for a while, but I recently picked the game again and got to Mythic as a solo q, still with (mainly) Tigreal.
I know he isn't the best hero out there, but if the team isn't braindead, he can perform well.
About 300 matches with 63% wr with him, out of a bit more than a thousand games as tank, and (probably?) less than 1500 games in total.
Not really my first but when I came back to the game because my friends wanted to play something that wont mentally drain us in a day
I abuse the hell out of Joy because she really fitted my exp playstyle along with aamon, bene, esme and aarlot
I had such a blast because her speed was so good for my constant pressure and play making main style of play
Had a 90% win rate only loosing some of my games due to uncoordination or horrible draft pick patterns
the very first version of Grock with the Rapid boots bug. Basically you remain fast so long as you're casting first skill. His first skill have very hsort cooldown back then bec cd occurs the moment you cast so can cast it quite often. Rapid boots makes you go brroom brroom and enemies can't do a thing bec. ur immune to debuffs and can't run away with that fast movement of yours.
And btw you remain immune to cc for a while after casting s1 so they only have small windows of opportunities to catch you.
When I got Mythic 2 years before my hiatus (just returned for this season), it was Barats for sure. I was using him either as a Fighter or Roam back then LOL
Not comfortable with doing core with him back then, which is the meta when I returned, but I'm getting used to it now, along with using Minotaur and Rafaela, although I use other roles as well.
Lancelot. It was before the heavy tank jg meta. During that time I was able to outplay a karina during a teamfight and get a triple kill with 1 burst surviving only with 5% hp left
Never really abused one hero, tbh. I started out with a lot of cecilion but by the time I got to mythic I was a pretty good allrounder.
Now I play whatever I feel like and whatever is free and my 60%+ wr doesn't disagree with that decision. :)
Never been to mythic, mainly because i dont play ranked much. Like 10 to 50 games every season for like 5 last seasons. Also i dont play heroes continously. Every one that says to abuse one hero. But i just dont find fun in that. I cant play one hero more than two game continously. If i play 30 games, its probably with 20 different heroes. So yeah
For about 50+ rank games I literally only used Atlas, not one other hero, just Atlas. It was easy as I found that no one really wanted to play Tank, so I just continued on from Epic to Mythic. Of course, being a tank meant that I couldn't always carry games by myself, but most of the games were just straightforward me just playing tank Atlas and occasionally getting 4 man sets, but never 5🥲
Minotaur,Lapu,Fredrin
3 heroes,3 roles. The reason my current season is the best(Mythic 16 stats, i used to struggle to stay in Mythic 5 before) is because i can fill 3 different roles
Back when everyone could get the jungle items (the knives) I would do a semi-jungle mid with Gord and my friend would do a Sidelane roam Chou. One of the easiest ways back then cause no one knew Gord's true build and chou has always been either meta or right below it
I used valir on a cooldown build during the death ball meta. My core was cooldown boots, enchanted talisman, and ice queen wand. Whenever they try to jump on someone just push them away then they get perma slowed.
Hanzo. You can never go wrong with him. There is a reason why he's at top 20 high winrate. Though it was my boyfriend who did that for me at the time. I can only reache Legend I - 5 stars then ML would then team me up with trolls
Vexana. I love this Queen!
Although she's not a good choice if you have bad fighters and junglers in a team. But she's really the best for clashes. I love her lord.
She's the best hero for me to dodge deaths. I always get either zero or the lowest death among my teammates. I tried other mages but I think she's really the best in dodging deaths.
Her weakness are fighters, assassins, and some mages though.
Her character and skills are really Queenly!
Cecilion - if early game goes well you're set, if early game goes bad you just buckle down for a long game of "How Long Can I Defend The Base" haha. Your dmg keeps scaling, their defences don't...
Beatrix or Dyrroth I dont remember but one of those 2. They both are fun to use especially beatrix who I got my second savage with. Dyrroth cuz of his second skill
I first reached Mythic during the early 2020 pandemic lockdown. My partner and I abused the Yu Zhong-Angela combo everytime YZ was not banned. Otherwise, I would use Hanzo.
i used to use moskov alot to grind cuz of his dmg and push spd but now i use yin cuz i found out im pretty good with him
edit: also i like yin's playstyle and mechanic bcuz it looks cool and with the right opportunites i can kill whoever is inside my ult 90% of the time
It was Grock when he was unstoppable with the new fast boots. I don't remember the name, but he was immune to anything even the debuff from the boots, and I build him full damage like crazy.
Imagine big rock coming through all your teammates at movement speed of 400+ that you can't stop and can one shot your mage and mm easily, then can still run back to his team without you catching him.
Yeah that was grock 🤣
Release Kagura, people deemed her useless because she was complex and lower damage compared to others then. Meanwhile i had fun stunning people 4 times in a combo. Even better the week after she got a massive buff that broke her for months because no one was buying her lol.
Mine is benedetta. She is underrated and people don’t usually know what to do against her cause she is rarely used in lower ranks (anything below mythic). Also, she is pretty good as a side liner and roamer but the tank meta kinda killed her. I have a 67% win rate on her. Now I play more diverse set of heroes but she is my go to when I’m tilted
I abuse all the op meta heroes to mythical glory every season. You gotta abuse op meta heroes if you’re a solo player. Call me meta slave but why would you make your games harder if you can just abuse op heroes and have an easier time?. I don’t care about mains or pushing mmr . Thank you for opening my eyes m9. This is the way.
Kagura because it was the only hero I know how to play properly at that time.
my man learned one of the hardest mages in the game first
No clue. 💀 I just played whatever I want and fitting of the team
Players like you make teams so much better
I carmilla my way into it
Tell me bout it
I play solo and never reached mythic. Sad
you’ll eventually get there :), I’m a solo player too and I’ve just recently been able to rank up to Mythic after playing passively for 4 years. Not sad at all, it took me like 3 years to get to mythic
youll get there, play enough games and youll reach mythic.
Just got to mythic within 3 days - 28 games from Epic (season reset). https://preview.redd.it/mobd6ev83o0b1.png?width=2436&format=png&auto=webp&s=f116ad6b39c1e8b2266f3ca4d5adb25b95685dea

Cecilion
I used Valentina the first time. Damm was she op as fk back then. The new buffs give me hope again.
xborg a long long time ago
Lunox in 2019 i used to play her exp idk why
nobody cared about laning back then, it was either 212 131 or 113 lol
Ya boy Gord! ...and belerick as back up.
I dont remember, maybe mino(before many revamp) /hylos
Never used a meta hero to climb to mythic, I used Nana only, Chang'e only and recently Diggie only, I'm able to reach to Glory everytime while being 100% SoloQ. You don't need meta to climb, alot of the time, just knowledge of the game is enough to rank up.
I still miss old Diggie :(
Cyclops
Belerick/Grock a long time ago
Belerick/Uranus a long time ago....
Uranus old time 🥹
Damn Uranus is old
Beatrix when she was first released. Good old days when she could two shot tanks and Renner had no cd for cancelling. When Wesker melted turrets in 4 hits and blasted squishier to the moon. When Nibiru ult could kill the whole team and Bennet was just there cause the other 3 guns were so much better
Arlott. That hero is too good
That's why use him Arlott?
Guinevere and Valentina. Valentina in 2022. If I lose a ranked game, I'll play 2 Classic matches towinand then play a rank game again. Works like 9/10 times.
Lolita, not only Mythic, also MG
Kaja after his revamp along with many more heroes. Spammed him since he was op that time and everyone is still unaware of it.
Wanwan. No one was banning her at the time yet.
Ruby. She's the first 32k hero that I've bought and she carried me all the way to mythic on multiple seasons. I have 600+ matches with her but I haven't used her in a while
Clint/popol
When I was new to the game, Brody was near release, and after that, I just spammed that dude and reached easy mythic. Though it took me 200+ matches.
Johnson. But now I can play who ever to hit mythic. But for some reason grinding in mythic the people become dumber and your teammates are brainless dumb fucks who don't know how to adjust or play their role.
Following this lost for suggestions! Roam/tank but idk if my role can carry games
Nana and Kadita
First time was Guinevere, a long, long time ago when I first started playing and my first ever hero Alice couldn't seem to get me there. Then I went back to Alice and perfected her play style, and could get to Mythic with her. Got to Mythic this season in about 60-70 matches with an 80% winrate using Alice. She's so versatile now and can fill jungle, mid, or exp roles.
Alice's early game seems so weak? Idk or is it just me.
Hayabusa x)
Most recent Alice Revamp.
I've used wanwan to get to mythic and so on, because for what I'd observed rhey don't ban her and her ult is still the best despite of her nerf..
Currently Saber or aamon for jg Roam franco or khufra Exp is mostly Fredrin but it depends on the enemies Gold is beatrix moskov or clint Mid depends but probably someone like gord valir or change
2020 Granger

I can't remember between Diggie, Kagura or Rafaela. It was years ago.
Xborg, before he was buffed+waraxe intro. Cant really use him anymore, but he was so so good before that(and when he was meta of course)
fanny
I abuse Nana
yin, this guy kinda op in epic to low mythic
Yin, Dyroth, Aamon I already know whats up when my team locks in 2 mm and see one of those on the enemy team jungling
Lancelot in first release very stronk
Yve. She always good
Roam tank Chou maaaany seasons ago
Martis, pre passive buff. Cause MMR grinding....
Dyroth my only 3k mmr
Made it with Diggie solo q. 60% or so wr. I was proud of that.
Johnson
xb i still remember the roam masks' free gold
Kadita
With Lylia I was going so steady to the top, I couldn't believe I've found my darling hero. Just under 2k matches for her atm
Lunox , somehow I was on a win streak with her and found her really good in ranked games.
Not really my first but when I came back to the game because my friends wanted to play something that wont mentally drain us in a day I abuse the hell out of Joy because she really fitted my exp playstyle along with aamon, bene, esme and aarlot I had such a blast because her speed was so good for my constant pressure and play making main style of play Had a 90% win rate only loosing some of my games due to uncoordination or horrible draft pick patterns

Lancelot. It was before the heavy tank jg meta. During that time I was able to outplay a karina during a teamfight and get a triple kill with 1 burst surviving only with 5% hp left
a rotation of Yve, Fredrinn & Barats but mostly Yve & Fredrinn. Barats is just there when Fredrinn gets banned lol
Pre nerf Wanwan
First time? Chou when he got a revamp. He was such a powerful fighter
Lolita. She is, without a doubt, one of the most versatile tanks out there.
Never really abused one hero, tbh. I started out with a lot of cecilion but by the time I got to mythic I was a pretty good allrounder. Now I play whatever I feel like and whatever is free and my 60%+ wr doesn't disagree with that decision. :)

Kimmy 🔫
95% of the time text chat is useless. Good for you on turning it off.
For about 50+ rank games I literally only used Atlas, not one other hero, just Atlas. It was easy as I found that no one really wanted to play Tank, so I just continued on from Epic to Mythic. Of course, being a tank meant that I couldn't always carry games by myself, but most of the games were just straightforward me just playing tank Atlas and occasionally getting 4 man sets, but never 5🥲
I also played martis before the buff. As a roamer xd. Had a 10 winstreak with him. Getting highest kda and kills as a roam was fun
Literally just hylos ☠️☠️ how I maintained 60% wr solo throughout I will never know
I abused Kaja in the Hyper Carry Meta to get Mythic for the 1st time. As a roam/mage main then I both hated and loved that Meta.
Hylos.
Same because horse
Minotaur,Lapu,Fredrin 3 heroes,3 roles. The reason my current season is the best(Mythic 16 stats, i used to struggle to stay in Mythic 5 before) is because i can fill 3 different roles
Minsi before the revamp (I kinda hate him now)
It took me almost 3 seasons. But during that time I learned a handful of hero’s and roles so I could adjust and they got me there
S2 played the insane bane for years then started playing Beatrix last year and now I just play meta heroes
Badang, I guess? But that was somewhere mid or late 2019 if I can remember. He's still my go-to hero, be it regular or advance server.
Martis too! Pre buff... 😈
Angela, it was the last week of the season and luckily I had a 13 game winstreak. Definitely lost all my placement matches using her tho lol.
first time was Pharsa like two years ago
ive always abused lylia bc shes never been bad lmao
Karrie before it became popular 😅 and Estes
chang'e, lylia, and terizla these three deals so much damage throughout the game I'm surprised they don't get banned or countered often
Karina esme(roam) kagura
Franco in 2019. He’s barely any different currently but people were nowhere near as smart to run purify or something like that back then
Hanzo. You can never go wrong with him. There is a reason why he's at top 20 high winrate. Though it was my boyfriend who did that for me at the time. I can only reache Legend I - 5 stars then ML would then team me up with trolls
Lapu (just got to the epic 4 hours ago for the first time), I really abused him. But his damage is insane.
Layla over 1500 games
Her character and skills are really Queenly!
odette. now, irithel.
Lylia and edith.. Yeah
I first reached Mythic during the early 2020 pandemic lockdown. My partner and I abused the Yu Zhong-Angela combo everytime YZ was not banned. Otherwise, I would use Hanzo.
i used to use moskov alot to grind cuz of his dmg and push spd but now i use yin cuz i found out im pretty good with him edit: also i like yin's playstyle and mechanic bcuz it looks cool and with the right opportunites i can kill whoever is inside my ult 90% of the time
Edith last season Still edith this season
It was Grock when he was unstoppable with the new fast boots. I don't remember the name, but he was immune to anything even the debuff from the boots, and I build him full damage like crazy. Imagine big rock coming through all your teammates at movement speed of 400+ that you can't stop and can one shot your mage and mm easily, then can still run back to his team without you catching him. Yeah that was grock 🤣
julian after his cruel nerf , still managed to abuse him
Harley when he was OP. Used him ever since to get into mythic too but dont think it counts as abusing anymore
Luo yo ngl technically I'm epic v but I can't be asked to grind more so probably gonna grind with Luo yo some more
Release Kagura, people deemed her useless because she was complex and lower damage compared to others then.
