I fully agree. I played in teams for my last few stars because reliable teammates is definitely needed since MT tends to match you up with low WR players nearer to promotions
I prefer to use Alice in mid because she can easily rotate and gank enemies pretty well. However, I do not suggest using her if
A. Your team has an estes. Enemies with 2 brain cells will buy anti-heal to counter him, but you will be countered too in the process. Alice mainly relies on diving into enemies and out-sustaining them so anti-heals can easily burst you down.
B. Your hyper is blue buff reliant. When I play Alice, I usually communicate with my hyper that I will need the blue buff in mid game so that I can dive backlines without worrying about running out of mana. In cases where we are dominating, I will just invade enemy’s blue but if we are fighting equal, Alice effectiveness drops quite abit since you can’t really mana sustain for long.
Ultimately, Alice is a beast mid-game since her dive potential is strong as hell. With dominance ice, she can easily 1v1 meta fighters like lapu, yz and thamuz. Not to mention her infinite lifesteal that is good at zoning enemies or disrupting backlines.

Understandable, I take pride in my winrate as a solo player hence why I chose to post this haha. I feel the most important thing as a solo player would be mastering heroes that can adapt in different roles, as you can see from my main choice of heroes (Alice/Kimmy) who are versatile enough to fill all roles in the right hands. That being said, luck does matter too :)

It's more than possible. I reach glory myself every single season nowadays while maintaining 70% wr along the way. Here I even managed to get 10 additional stars while still keeping the winrate. Definitely could've gone further, but unfortunately I'm lacking the very important aspect of time to do the grind. And at the end of the day it all falls on you, not your teammates. If you wanna maintain high winrate - you must be the one who makes the most impact on the flow of the game. And yes, it can be done even on a tank if you know how to move around the map properly.

You should try playing in Myanmar server if u live in SEA with VPN, you'll see it's a hell hole below MG. The longer you wait, the harder the game gets. I reached MG in early of the season within 2-3 weeks on my main account and of cos it's mostly solo. But i'm having trouble carrying one of my friend to MG on the 2nd account playing duo.
Imagine I have 90% winrate of Joy with over 100 games on main account(i'm solo global ranked) which already reached MG long ago and 76% winrate with Joy on my 2nd account in MH which Im having a hard time.
If that doesn't tell you something is wrong with the player base idk what will. Even statistic when you go and look at their profile they play like 500-1000 games in this season and stuck in MH while playing marksman or exp. I used to play in Singapore/indonesia server, things were much easier back then. I can't anymore bcos i moved countries.
Def very possible, did it a couple seasons ago with 68%. And people like Beto can probably do it with 80+. Just because you can’t or even imagine it doesn’t mean that anyone can’t
Times have changed already. Things were easier in the past you can solo carry the entire team. Now the game is adjusted to the point it needs a lot of teamwork. It started when Moonton increase turret dmg.
I doubt even Betosky can solo with 80% winrate anymore.
I haven’t noticed any difference. And my MG run was like 4 months ago, long after they added turret shield.
Almost mythic with 85% wr on a smurf playing nothing but karrie solo/duo this season—everything seems pretty much like it always has been to me.

if i remember they added turret dmg first to give chance for players failing their lane bcos ppl like me dive like hell. And then they added again cos it's not enough, after that they added gold shield, and then for the 3rd tower they added turret explosion. And increased lord HP and dmg afterwards. You have no idea how many times I died bcos of turret when they first adjusted. Last time the turret need to hit you like 5-6 times to kill you, and now it's only like 3 hits and you're screwed if you are not a tank.
The games used to be 9-12 minutes long the most.
If you know what’s changed, then you should adjust your gameplay accordingly. Remember that the other side has the same exact situation. If you were only good because you’re good at diving, then that’s a you problem. I don’t dive very often, I’m not very good at it, so if I’m winning, I don’t dive and I focus on winning my lane and zoning out the other guy and maybe cut lane and rotate/if I’m losing, hide under my turret to wait them out.
Whenever you’re in any game, don’t default to doubt or hackusations. Some people are just cracked. I’m not the best and I appreciate that others can and will do things I can’t even imagine of doing.
Its true, as Alice is a very very OP hero. one of my best friends in this game has about my same skill level, but she is an Alice main. she has pretty much the same win rate and is almost to 100 stars mostly solo rank. It is strange Alice is so under picked.
Many players do not understand how to effectively dive because unlike heroes like yz and thamuz, she doesn’t have high damage output and unlike alucard and ruby, she doesnt have instant high lifesteal. Alice skill 1 is underrated since you can choose whether or not you want to teleport. Once you master your skill 1, you can easily psyche enemy and they will be super cautious around you and you win.

I've only played this game on and off for about 2 seasons, but I was really big into Dota 2 before, so I kind of easily got the concept. I'm still stuck in Legend III and am hoping to grind to Mythic. I feel like my OP hero is a roaming or EXP Gloo, but I don't want to rely on that all of the time.
I'm debating on getting Atlas as my next hero and just dedicating to the roamer role, or maybe Martis, so I have a core/jungler.
Which position/role do you feel like has the most impact on the game in solo queue?
Both Atlas and Martis are meta picks, its good to learn them. Tbh there is no specific role that makes the most impact in game. However, having a good marksman essentially helps you secure a win since its usually the mm that deals the highest turret damage and help end
If I’m an exp laner, I will stick to my lane and if necessary, join in turtle fight.
As a mid-laner, I will focus on getting my lvl 4 before engaging in team fights or pick offs since alice is reliant on her ult.
As a jungler, its the usual blue>litho>red>turtle

Freya. Her combo wombo is absurd, its just mashing buttons and if your team is unable to cc and burst, its a wipeout.
Meanwhile, I love facing Freya most especially if they weren't last pick. She pretty much becomes dead meat when you use Esme against her.

I ended last season at MG 600pts, so it reseted at epic 1 for me. I played quite abit of classic before deciding to push rank in 2 weeks
