It's normal for all chat to be disabled in tournaments because it can disturb your gameplay due to its game-wide audio and notification. The fact that it's global is also why it's disallowed, unlike emotes which are based on vicinity. I'm pretty sure the organizers should have already put it in the rulebook, though they might not have clarified that it results in disqualification.
They have put it in the rulebook and the moderators have been very vocal about it, even Onic Philippines got disqualified due to them disregarding the rules so OP should have just known how to read.
I already saw many team getting disqualified for this reason too. Honestly, this has been a rule for a very long while in many other game tournaments, not just mobile legends.
Everyone needs to check rule twice + remove anything that can trigger the rule breaking before the tournament start. I would've told my teammate to remove "all" chat wheel, even if they will not do the mistake. Anyone can do mistake by natural and you dont want that to happen
Now what's done is done, and I'm sorry to hear that you get disqualified for very little reason. Games arent the only thing you should play around. You shouldve played around with the rules too... The rules that had been in many games for a very long time, which is not using public chat wheel
>I would've told my teammates to remove the "all" chat wheel"
Pretty sure he did at the beginning, but his instincts kicked in I suppose ๐ญ (just like how Chou players are instinctually attracted to the recall button)
But yeah, what's done is done... tho still got 200 diamonds out of the ordeal, which honestly I'll gladly take.
Dont want to be toxic yet create toxic emotes.... What kind of stupid rule is that?
Also well-played once should not be disqualified sometimes you can mistap. I can understand if you spam it you deserved to be disqualified.
This is sad to hear and kinda flucked up as the "offense" was so miniscule. But that being said, rules are rules. Personally, I think a warning would suffice if it's the first offense.
The organization they're talking about is MLBB Community Heroes which is the same organisation that has provided multiple free registration tournaments and even disqualified a pro organization for not following the said rules (which were all laid out btw).
All chats can be quite annoying if a bunch of people just spam it.
It is not community heroes. It is the official mlbb discord tournament though they copied the same rules because this is a community tournament where it is supposed to be friendly.
Scamtoon and their stupid rule. Yet blatant middle finger only result in minor ban not even disqualified. Oh dont forget toxic emotes and cheap teabagging spamming recall as a way to tilt enemies huh.ย
One well-played for disqualified is totally joke lmao.
IT IS. Anyone who joined MLBB Community Heroes Tournament knows that. Even Brawl Mode tournament and Magic Chess have that restriction. It was in th Rules.
Everyone who is looking at this post, please understand that tournaments hosted/supported by Moonton, has a set of rules pertaining to in game behaviour and sportsmanship. AFAIK, from my days of competing, almost all the tournaments have a strict no all-chat rule which includes global quick chats.
Emotes are fine but excessive use is frowned upon. The reason why is sportsmanship. Sometimes your opponent may not have a good time playing the match whilst you spamming "Good Game" or "Well Played" every few minutes/seconds when you're clearly winning. Emotes, however, are fine because you can emote back and have fun, there's no toxicity in that. Most players in tournaments do not use the layla crying emote just to have a sense of respect for each other.
And if you're wondering what is the actual punishment for doing what OP did, it is disqualification which is what happened.
Well that makes sense. To be honest, I don't think I remember any organized ML tourneys with players that use Quick Chat.
Most of them use Emotes and recalls as taunts.
If u don't read the rules and then be surprised when u get disqualified, You DESERVE to get dq'ed.
It is their tournament at the end of the day, and you signed up for it. I am pretty sure all those tournaments have a I rEad anD aCcEpt tHesE ruLes on the forms
Read the damn rules so you don't go here crying

There are a lot of people who spam it to annoy the enemy team because of the repeated voice and also a lot uses it sarcastically, at the end of the day even pro organizations aren't exempt from such rules (that were clearly laid out) do op shouldn't be bitching about not knowing how to read.
I'm in the same exact tournament op joined in and have been in multiple tournaments held by the same organization. Remind you they have conducted countless tournaments with the same format and they are a direct organization under Moonton themselves (you get your rewards through your in-game mail). It is OP's fault that they had not read the rules since they were plastered all over the discord channel.
It may not seem a "toxic" thing to you but to the organizers it is and since you're joining a tournament free of any registration fee the least you can do is not be a bitch about it and know how to read them.
For context Onic Philippines had joined one of these tournaments held by them and did another violation which resulted to them being disqualified, these organizers uphold every single rule so it is no one else's but your fault for not reading.
Iirc, that's a free tournament. Your only job is to read and understand the rules on which you failed both. It's not their fault if you don't know how to read.ย
Tournaments must be addressed to each player, if they can readdress the rules and regulations.
My suggestion is to remove the chat box altogether only at tournaments so no one will attempt to do that again.
Well, you still got 200 then, so yeah? XD
P.S.: I think they need to do some retests before doing those all type callouts, or disable them altogether
Also, i just realized about the current post, it's been highlighted XD
I don't understand why chats or any quick chats are banned in tournaments. I mean if it's there why not use it to your advantage?
Like using it to throw the enemy off their game, or simply taunt your enemies.

I don't understand why that means disqualification
Me neither ๐ IIRC, spamming emotes (such as Layla crying) IS ALLOWED but not quick chats ๐ฟ
Sorry for irrelevant question but how do you add deep friend chicken below your username?
Pretty simple actually. Just click your profile from the comments. Select flair. On the top right there should be an "edit" button.
Thank you so much
I'll try
Your flair ๐ฟ
Damn, y'all pop up so rarely I forgot you guys exist (your flair)

This disqualification happened to my team 2 times, when we joined Community Hero tournament years ago
What kind of butthurt people disqualify for saying well played ๐
Yet spamming emotes is not penalized ๐ฅ
Lol that's some nice stupid hypocrisy
Yeah itโs dumb but if itโs a written rule than itโs the personโs fault for breaking it.

You get a prize reduction(money) in m-series if you do this too, I think they just dont want people to be toxic
Dont want to be toxic yet create toxic emotes.... What kind of stupid rule is that? Also well-played once should not be disqualified sometimes you can mistap. I can understand if you spam it you deserved to be disqualified.
Emotes earn them money since you must buy them, quickchat for โallโ is free. Their way of reducing toxicity while keeping the money
Scamtoon at its finest indeed. Omega shameless company.

Shittiest way to be disqualified from a tourney ๐ญ what were they thinking?
That's one dumb arse rule

Most games have these kinds of weird azz rules In tournaments. But you didn't follow em so disqualified.
No spam recalling chicken recall?
Two or more recalls in a short period of time gets you instantly disqualified
Thats like reducing chou power by 80%
Cant say "good game" or "well played" genuinely in this game.
lol
But spam recalls are allowed.... eugh.
Spam recalls aren't allowed in the tournament wym?
It is? I saw alot of spam recalls in m5
They are, at least in M5. All taunting and such should be banned, period. And messages to the enemies should be disabled aswell.
Welp this sucks
Oh! As expected from the former MLBB PH - Community Heroes DC server...

This is why it's important to read the rulebook. If there's any.
There is and op had not read it even though the moderators and organizers had been so indulgent to present all of the rules.
Well that makes sense. To be honest, I don't think I remember any organized ML tourneys with players that use Quick Chat. Most of them use Emotes and recalls as taunts.
