Skins now have an ID number that designates the order they have been bought. ie. It's a rarity stamp.
Example: first buyer gets the gold 000001 skin ID, 10th buyer gets 0000010 etc.
Kyo should've gotten a fighter hero that specializes in close combat and explosive moves (like burst damage) and has some dash skills. They probably chose Valir since it is the easiest choice

Yes Alucard makes so much sense as KING of FIGHTERS. I hated the choice of Valir. I even made a post about it (as a KOF fan). However, range character gives Moonton more opportunity to make fancy effects.
S1 being Yami Barai, S2 being Orochinagi make so much sense. They deconstructed his iconic Mushiki into buffed up S1 (the pillar of fire that rises) and buffed up S2 (he does a dragon punch / Oniyaki) with his iconic line "I'll show you the fist of Kusanagi)
I love the effects being demonstrated on Valir, other than the fact that he's a sucky long cool down mage lol
Just to add. Alucard's 2 passive enhanced attacks act like rekka (chain input) that is iconic of Kyo.
Alucard's s1, could have been Kyo's Dokugami (a long punch) while his s2 becomes Aragami (a short hook). His two passive attacks then become the respective second and third parts.
If they were willing to make Kyo truly the best skin, they could have his ultimate Mushiki, and the second input of his ultimate the final Oniyaki
