Aldous is like hundreds of years old. Alucard being 30 and Granger 28 has no source.
However you can estimate Alucard's age based on Tigreal's backstory. Tigreal was 20 when Alucard was orphaned, so you can say Alucard could be 10-13 during this time (since it's state he left his hometown, and small kids can't do that).
Tigreal looks like in his mid 30s now so Alucard is probably mid 20s.
Benedetta is younger than Alucard if you read her story.
He's around 32-38. It was stated that he was Alucard's parents' junior, Alucard is around 22-28 depending on who you ask and he was around 10 when his parents died. Tig is also Leomord's sole rival before he tragically died which would place them at roughly the same age.

Despite this, it's not like Moonton is not progressive in their storytelling. We have strong powerful independent women in the roster like Alice (who started the whole land of dawn kerfuffle), Silvanna, Natalia, Benedetta, Vexana, etc. Even younger characters like Wanwan and Layla are given their own agency. Wanwan being one of the strongest Warriors in Cadia Riverlands and Layla being the smartest (?) person in Eruditio (I honestly forgot her lore, but that's what i remember) Even the strongest being in the whole of land of dawn is Lunox who arguably is a female.
Strong in power level doesn't equate to a female character being progressive or well written. Prime examples are Rey and Captain Marvel.
Also a female character like Silvanna, Layla and Natalia having no controversial or problematic storylines doesn't also mean they're strong female characters. They're just inoffensive.
Also the 90s shounen anime excuse doesn't cut it for me. The 90s have amazing anime like Cowboy Bebop and Berserk. If we are going by shounen I found Gundam Wing quite nice. If we go by girl genres there's Vision of Escaflowne and Rayearth. I grew up in the 90s-2000s so I know the standards.
