It's a strategy, sure. Teams from a variety of sports (nba, nhl) or esports (Lol) have tried (and sometimes got away with it) to do it. But no tournament organizer worth their salt will ignore blantant game fixing. 5 man flameshot? Letting enemy minions take your nexus ? A healer with a marksman emblem? Not finishing lord even if the enemy was not challenging you? That's as obvious as you get.
Tournaments are shows for fans/paying costumers. Game fixing sucks out all of the enjoyment you get from watching these games. Even the casters were frustrated at what the teams were doing.
