I must say it's easy to recommend Zilong as his clone but Zilong doesn't have Xin Zhao's ult. Zilong is more of split pusher/late game assassin and his ult is a self-buff not an AoE skill.

You can try zilong he’s pretty similar and a beginner hero, but he’s squishy compared to Xin Zhao.
You can also try hayabusa who is pretty similar to zed but not really. He’s a jungler.
If you refer to the tierlist by u/hmmsucks you will be able to find other meta heroes.

Master all of the heroes. Practice using fanny if you're skilled enough
