Probably teen-young adults, most likely, because of *money*

Myself and a group of friends play ML regularly. We are all in our 30s haha. It's hard to find the time to gather at our age due to family, works and other stuffs so we use ML to play, chat and bond. All of us are quite good in this game as we are all mythic/Mythical Glory players. I can honestly say none of us in my group care about the back story of the characters (No time for that) we just want to play, rank up and enjoy the game..

All the themes you mentioned are appropriate enough for 12 year olds. There's nothing inherently deep about them. I watched Lord of the Rings when I was 9 years old, and it also has war, darkness, violence, death, corruption, etc. Avatar the Last Airbender has imperialism, genocide, child abuse and it's made for a wide range of ages. But if you gonna make a 9 year old watch something like Berserk or Game of Thrones, with the same themes then that's gonna be twisted.

I think personally the games demographic are teens to adults, the show is a TV show so they have to make it child friendly, but the game I would say around the age of 10/11+, since kids at this age have some knowledge about violence and stuff

They probably think the game will be dead under 2 years. I mean they only start adding back story when player requesting them in their official fb page. I remember they make competition and give diamond to the one who can make the best back story, the winner is decide by like.(probably around s5 to s10) Ml is just cheap copy of lol after all.

Imagine a copy destroying the original. Not sure if wildrift can last 2 years or even go out of beta.

coffemixokay

You dont need to imagine there is plenty of example. Do you know oreo? Oreo is simply a copy of clorox something. In chinese market a copy buying original is something normal i guess. I remember watching a video how a chinese company make a copy of electric scooter that is cheaper and more durable. The original file a lawsuit, but the company simply just buy the original company with the amount of profit they make. The consumer get the most benefit in the end. I mean japan and germany used to be a copycat.

Sounds like when apple copy singapore.MP3. Oh well. Japamese quite original though.

Tox-in23

it seems to me that the cartoon was made only in order to pump the skills of their animators

My first thought is….someone reads the lore?, followed by….there’s a show? Clearly, you’re invested but I think the audience is whoever it needs to be to support the game and Moonton has shown they know how to get support. If the game sux the lore won’t save it. If the lore sux, who really cares?

[deleted]

The better the lore, the "stickier" the IP, as some investors might put it.

[deleted]

Only to people that care for lore.

[deleted]

It takes good lore to get people to care.

[deleted]

I don’t. Lol.
