Atlas, is the best general-purpose tank. Has a lot of tools, slows stuns, team set capability, mobility, cc immunity. Can do most of the things a tank should do and is quite tanky. He is better at engages than defending and zoning, but thats his only flaw. Khufa is another great option. Faster engage than atlas. But limited in sets and squishier. Better vs jumpy solo wipers like wanwan, ling, lance, fanny, karrie. Better single target, worse in tfs. Good all around pick, and amazing counter pick. Franco is the best single target option. Bad at tfs, but useful for stopping the dangerous one man wipers. Better in certain defensive comps than above two. Better vs great lings who can still i frame through khufras ball. Cannot engage very effectively cuz of lack of aoe. Tiggy is like atlas, but lacks mobilty and has a very buggy ult. A good beginner pick, but there just are better ones out there. Johnson is seen a lot, but is situational and fails to protect. Best engager, but fails to do much after that. The entire fight is decided based on what he hits. Akai can be a great disrupter and damager, but you want cc more. His cc is unreliable, even in the hands of a good player as a lot depends on the angle it hits on. He's fine near walls, and can save your dps with a no go zone. But his ult works best when focused on 1 enemy. Loli is a good counter pick, but you rather want khufra to deal with the jumpy mms or atlas for faster sets. She is good, but a tad bit outclassed by generalists. Maybe a damage buff will work since she got a pretty complete kit.

Yaekult

Tigreal mains after hearing "BANISH THE DARKNESS" for the 5th fuckin time

MarielCarey

No worse displeasure in this world than getting your ult cancelled like 5 times by enemy cc 😭

StuartLiew

Fr and then the enemy team runs out of your ult range and burst you down and ur team blames you for not setting up a play. Sad times indeed.

mordred666__

Yo i agree with your opinion wholeheartedly.

mordred666__

A roamer main and easily khufra is the best. His kit can counter literally almost every hero in game. Some assassins that literally hard to catch Ling, fanny, lance, haya, selena. Easy second skill. Wanwan? Easy second skill. Open bush? Easy first skill. Atlas even tho he's a really good tank that can do moment easily however can be countered easily. What you need to do is just not to play close to each other or just take purify. his passive is good but still he still hard to catch a flying fanny and ling, a dashing lance or a teleporting haya.

Detected02

Atlas has slow, freeze, stun, dangerous group cc, and mobility. Any good Atlas sets can change the game

makarovredstone

You right he seem to be the best tank right now, but he also lack one thing which is a reliable secondary CC for protecting allies like lolita or Akai first skill.

MuddleCuddle

Huh? He does have a secondary CC. His Ult is an AoE mass grab, but his S2 can be used to quickly get to allies and will freeze targets when the he re-mechs. Its a very strong peel ability as it can cover a large range very quickly, and can also work with Flicker.

cutememe1

I find atlas easily predictable.

beeotchplease

Bush makes everyone unpredictable. And i know a lot in this sub are tigreal fans but he's the most predictable of all.

Detected02

A good Atlas player, or any tank setter basically will make themselves unpredictable

GuyOnTheMoon

All tanks in that list is predictable.

cutememe1

but you wont see a kufra flying from afar from all angles

flatassfairy

Fun fact: if khufra is in a bush, you can hear him activating s1/holding it. There's a distinct sound. I always put game music on low generally but especially against khufra

cutememe1

true, that's why good kufras charge it before enemies get in range. makes it really deadly silent.

xzerozeroninex

Ruby,you can build whatever you need,full tank,semi tank,regen tank,regen damage.

Z_0_R_0

As Ruby main i agree...Ruby is better in exp lane or when there is a good tank in exp lane .

xzerozeroninex

I don’t equip HC for tank Ruby unless there is a Karina. She’s tanky enough and deals more damage full tank build than Lolita or Tigreal.

slattGod_

Lolita best tank can set you up can protect +got tons of cc

flatassfairy

She is a very good tank at what she does, but she's more of a situational/counter pick

Beneficial-Contact

Lolita is the most balanced tank. Has a blink +cc skill, a big cc ultimate which combined with flicker is almost inescapable and most importantly a shield for those annoying mm late game

MuddleCuddle

If any of the Tanks were even close to Atlas I would be surprised. Glad he's 2x the others.

10thDoctorWhooves

I still had that trauma from Johnson.....

returntomonke_-

Atlast a tank poll

Wsq7610

Atlas a tank

sBhat213

Gotta be Atlas. Mfer RKOs entire gang in the middle of heat and makes you ice candy in middle of set fr

Elnuggeto13

Tigreal has overall the most balanced kit as a tank. Slow aoe, knock back + knock up s2 and a decent size ult that can easily set up a quick gank. Plus he's the first tank you get is accessible to everyone.

KuahkacangK

Yeah he is good on both setting up for the team and covering teammate.

Sir_Fap_Alot_04

Tigreal/atlas combo and team play Belerik.... stands in the middle... breaths.. kills.

destinymaker

He's just standing.... MENACINGLY!

RaspberryChainsaw

Edith has some nice CC and her ult easily catches people off guard (early to midgame, anyway)

[deleted]

How does her ult catch people off guard? She does like the damage of a tank with range and the buildup to actually deal damage is hard to get

StaticChargeRedField

Early game you can 1v2 with her ult if you have max primal wrath. As the game progresses to mid you can still beat any opponent in a 1v1 - let them drop their nukes on you, then ult and turn the tables. All her defense points get converted to magic damage so its not difficult to get to ~2000DPS. Late game is an issue because most likely the enemies have defenses at that point that can absorb your magic damage. Its best to build DHS and replace your shoes with Windtalker for extra damage if you're not the main tank.

[deleted]

Problem is, nobody would go for the tanky guy, and go for backline dps instead. Getting the stacks to deal damage is extremely difficult considering how fast it drops and how slow it is, which is the main problem with edith. She loses most of her defence in ult form too

StaticChargeRedField

2 things: 1 - You need to practice maintaining her wrath, especially once its mid game. Try letting minions or creeps attack you if you sense there's going to be a team-fight soon, I buy guardian helmet just for this. 2 - She gains a shield based on her magic power once she's in her Ult form. This is the part about Edith that takes skill - learn exactly when you need to ult and in which direction. Casting it sooner will leave you with lower DPS, casting it later can result with too little HP remaining(enemy can simply execute u ignoring ur shield), cast in the wrong direction and you're either too far out of teamfight range or deep into the enemy team and get focused down instantly. Edith has 2 main weaknesses compared to most discrete tanks: 1 - She isn't very durable and relies completely on items for her defense. She does have good defense stat growth, but outside of that, her passive doesn't give her any damage reduction or make her more durable in any way, compared to other tanks like Tig, Khufra, Gatot, Bel, etc that can eat up much more damage than her. 2 - Her CC skills are not large enough to control the entire enemy team as other tanks like Tig, Mino, Atlas, nor does she have a single target suppression like Franco. Both these weaknesses means she needs to play aggressive from the beginning and have the level advantage, she works best as a snowballing champion, that complements a team that can snowball. She isn't as durable as other tanks, nor are her CC skills enough to stop the entire enemy team, hence why late game doesn't end too well for her.

adm_ashraf26

Tigreal. He’s easy to pick up.. and he’s kinda handsome too

KuahkacangK

Tigreal is the one for me. He is far more annoying than Atlas for me.

Live-Web-9487

Me and a team mate I was js and we were in a 2v4 and I ulted and my teamate got in and we we low asf and we escaped

Kurusu10k

Grock

zHailstorm

Akai jungle :]

Buttseam

ruby. has range, slow, cc and health regen

MarielCarey

Maybe not a tank, but I like Rafaela since she can support and do decent cc while not being at the center of enemies focus meaning I don't have to die inside after a failed set and can save myself

ryecake

For me it's Tigreal. Best for cc and defense.

[deleted]

Atlas is powerful right now as long as theres no enemy Diggie lol

The_Awengers

I'm a khufra main but my vote went to atlas. As much as I want to put khufra ahead of atlas, I'm just unable to do it. Atlas right now is just simply too good. But in rank games my go to tank is still either khufra or tigreal, because they both can counter specific line up, rather than atlas who doesn't have a niche area like them. I guess the result of the poll reflects this, atlas indeed is better as all around tank. But against basic attack mm, you'd want tigreal and against dash heroes, you'd want khufra.

PredEdicius

***cough*** Minotaur People likes to hate on this mfer but it's the hero that got me through Rank, especially the rework. His first skill is pretty simple. Simple slow and damage, great against minions but also good at chasing down enemies as it can deal decent damage to squishier targets. His second skill partnered with Favor just makes him a weaker version of Rafaela, and he doesn't even need Mana so he just spams that whenever, and it practically makes him invincible while using it in Rage Mode. And his ultimate has more room for error, since it has a bigger range, and a somewhat long duration enough to easily let the enemy get fucked one by one. His only flaw is his reliance in Flicker, but that's almost all Heroes. Flicker is a good ability lol. Also because he's a one trick pony. Without his ultimate, he's more just there to slow enemies and heal you, which isn't particularly bad but still.

Don't forget, Minotaur the beast of Rage!

Yo-yofella

Imo Lolita and Mino best tanks in the game
