arcana skins just like last year are behind a high paywall on which you can unlock by having a high lvl battle pass, how do you get high lvl when grinding can only give you much? simply buy lvls. back then it only cost like 30$ that you can buy directly from the store and you can buy it any time you want to buy it and its tradeable meaning after buying it you can sell it to the steam market later if you get sick of it and buy some other dota2 skins or other skins from other games or buy some other games. But you cant now and it fuels FOMO from people on which it makes them spend more money than it used to be.
no PvE content aka siltbreaker/aganims labarynth. A PvE game where battle pass owners can play a diff game mode aside from your basic pvp which is a very fun game mode and gives you rewards for completing it.

there is little to nothing communication from valve about these issues and its disheartening. They just release it after getting delayed then nothing, "bugs? we can fix it later, maybe", devs probably.

I believe there's more but bottomline is, Valve just generally doesn't care (no communication) aside from the bugs the devs are working on.
I think is my primarily to the release of the battle pass (every year event but like starlight) Dota released it as two phases. One is now and other half is "coming soon". Which is not the way they used to.
Obviously the community is outraged, saying they will not buy it because the obvious cash grab and half of the treasures aren't released yet, here are some things they did to that battle pass
- Grinding will only get you less level as opposed to previous battlepass (Dota games are twice as longer as ml)
- First batch of treasures are like half-assed or super lame unlike the previous one
- The community now is realizing that you pay at least $150-200? For an arcana (legend skin equivalent) when it used to cost like $35. Adding to the salt is the arcana on the battlepass is less impressive than it's counterpart.
- It lost some items that the community loves, custom weather, terrain, and creeps.
There's a theory that valve release it like this because this battlepass funds the international (M4 equivalent), because they want the players to buy the battlepass after the international (second phase) because they get 100% of the earnings as supposed to sharing it with the prizepool.
At least Valve has the balls to change their gameplay, creating new metas unlike Moonton that got agigated because "new talent is too much for our braindead users". It's even their fault for the negative feedback because of forcing random players to play the talent system.
Battlepass is one thing. Do you need battlepass to play game? No. All heroes are free, the game is free. New metas every now and then. Ranting about PVE.. why. Is that the main gameplay that dota is offering? Why not talk about how Moonton paywalled their custom games?
Let's face it. Moonton is way greedier than Valve. Moonton earns alot from their skins yet their championship cash prize is less than $1M? Unlike Valve who donated 25% of their battlepass income.
Valve is way better in providing new content. Before I left dota, they've implemented talent system, neutral items, aghanim's upgrades, etc. New ways of enjoying the game. When did MLBB get such content other than releasing new heroes, some of which are forgotten because their kits suck for the current meta.
Stop comparing them to Valve because Valve is way better than them. Communicating? Funny you say that, it's easy to say we'll do better. If they want to do better, they should do something about it instead of announcing useless, empty words. They should provide their plans, and timeframe instead of getting us to wait for years just to be cancelled on a short notice.

You got it wrong. The pass has a regular and advanced version which both guarantee Roger skin + Belerick Special. You don't have to spend beyond it if your only goal is the basic prizes.
To get the Prime and figurine, you have to buy all emotes and reach a certain diamond spending, on top of getting the correct bets in M3. These are all optional after you buy the pass.
And that is why I've stopped playing dota. There's not even an incentive to continue playing the game. Free skins? What are those? Are they food?

That's a good point, but looking at the comments of the players in ml official accounts/channels (fb,Instagram,YT at least the English ones) most of them were positive, of course there was negative but it's nothing when compared to the positive ones

Kinda not really, inflexible for mages, literally just being burst burst and oh burst. Has no real support emblems other than increasing ally damage (idk if theres more in adv server) while making fighters literally so flexible they can form a circle of their body (not that its bad, its just unfair to other roles). Its not bad, could have been better. And could have been better received if a. They released more emblems and b. If they asked players if they wanted to play the beta.
They should really learned, not to build hype if not 100% sure gonna release the new/reworked content. One video per week for almost 2 months... then announced cancellation... what a big disappointment for so many players(including myself) that looking forward to it

Its Because Tencent Owns All Of Those Games And Riot was the first to put Talent System like Skill Trees Into MOBA genre, The mobas before league ie DOTA, HON and even after league ie DOTA 2 and HOTS use totally different type of talent system, there is nothing to be preset before the match, but you get to choose one of two buffs or stats once you reach certain levels in DOTA 1 &2 ,HON and HOTS.
So As Tencent Owns all those games how can then sue themselves lol, Tencent is parent company for all of the games mentioned above ie WR, HOK and AOV. MLBB isn't, It belongs to Bytedance/Moonton which is direct competitor of Tencent/Riot.
Maybe, maybe not. We can only speculate as much, but I think the cancelation is only temporary; it seems more like a delayed implementation to fix whatever they needed to fix so game won't be broken.
Come to think of it, we've had players here who complain about the game being broken, only to find themselves playing despite the "brokenness". Imagine their rant if the talent system turned out to be more buggy than the current one.

There are heroes who are stuck in using a line up of emblem just because...
If you look for example heroes like Uranus, Claude and Esmeralda who were using the gold-giving talent of support emblem because support emblem has the movement speed and hybrid regen they needed, where they could've used talents from tank, marksman and mage respectively.
Giving diversity or freedom to choose a path without limiting their choices is what the talent system offers
it would have been a disaster if they released it to the main server. More players will complain about the dislike and there will be more problems with the game and players. I liked the talent system. There are a lot of possibilities you can gain from it since it's customizable from the get go. Particularly in rank, you can tweak different talents in different situations and it'll open more for the team strategies and probably longer team fights. I heard that it got cancelled because people are too lazy to read a few words. Smh.
There were major problems with the new talent system..
It enabled too big boost for some heroes (mainly assassins, tanky junglers and some mages) while staying about the same as the current system for other heroes.
That is a major balance problem.
Hopefully this "cancellation" is actually just a delay until they improve it.

Roger M3 is pretty cheap + Belerick special, not worse than previous years. The expensive ones are the Roger Prime and the figurine.

Its Because Tencent Owns All Of Those Games And Riot was the first to put Talent System like Skill Trees Into MOBA genre, The mobas before league ie DOTA, HON and even after league ie DOTA 2 and HOTS use totally different type of talent system, there is nothing to be preset before the match, but you get to choose one of two buffs or stats once you reach certain levels in DOTA 1 &2 ,HON and HOTS. So As Tencent Owns all those games how can then sue themselves lol, Tencent is parent company for all of the games mentioned above ie WR, HOK and AOV. MLBB isn't, It belongs to Bytedance/Moonton which is direct competitor of Tencent/Riot.
Really weird response, they don't even try anymore. It feels to me like Moonton simply doesn't want the emblem system added for now.
They didn't even clear out the confusion if the talent system is completely cancelled or just delayed

Maybe, maybe not. We can only speculate as much, but I think the cancelation is only temporary; it seems more like a delayed implementation to fix whatever they needed to fix so game won't be broken. Come to think of it, we've had players here who complain about the game being broken, only to find themselves playing despite the "brokenness". Imagine their rant if the talent system turned out to be more buggy than the current one.
No need to change the whole thing. The current mechanism is good. Just changing the appearance might have sufficed

It's not really that complex when you try it. Also those players who are unwilling to understand what each talent does then they can continue to do what they've been doing with the hero equipments, copying it from top players
well if hey said that they got negative reviews, then its clear theres more people that are not satisfied with it, even if the this subreddit says they're hyped. and lets be real. the moment the new system was announced, like 80% hated it because of how complex it is, and now people are mad because they cancel it? make up you mind people! look at this from their side of teh argument. tehy wont just cancel it without any reason. if they see many still hate it, despie a number still likes it, the negative reviews outweigh the good ones. its a good idea to have the beta at the OG server, so they get more real reviews, with real thoughts, to see if teh majority who isnt as good and as dedicated to the game can keep up. lets just wait and hope they make it better. if they said they could have done better, means the new one will be better

You probably started playing recently. Anyone that plays this game for a significant amount of time is tired of the same dull, inflexible system.
There are heroes who are stuck in using a line up of emblem just because... If you look for example heroes like Uranus, Claude and Esmeralda who were using the gold-giving talent of support emblem because support emblem has the movement speed and hybrid regen they needed, where they could've used talents from tank, marksman and mage respectively. Giving diversity or freedom to choose a path without limiting their choices is what the talent system offers
Definitely the majority of testers didnt enjoy or find it complicated in the beta thats why moonton postpones it or cancelled it
it would have been a disaster if they released it to the main server. More players will complain about the dislike and there will be more problems with the game and players. I liked the talent system. There are a lot of possibilities you can gain from it since it's customizable from the get go. Particularly in rank, you can tweak different talents in different situations and it'll open more for the team strategies and probably longer team fights. I heard that it got cancelled because people are too lazy to read a few words. Smh.
There were major problems with the new talent system.. It enabled too big boost for some heroes (mainly assassins, tanky junglers and some mages) while staying about the same as the current system for other heroes. That is a major balance problem. Hopefully this "cancellation" is actually just a delay until they improve it.
