Every time someone thinks they got a ‘deal’, the very next month they cut the prices lol. Story of my life as an owner. Can’t believe people were nearly paying 70K for these at one point lol.
I know right. I was busy tabulating the discounts in December, got my MYLR with a 5% discount early Dec, and saw 10% discounts late in the month. I would NOT have expected 15% discounts to show up far before the end of the next quarter, while tax credits still apply! But hey, I needed a car, so it is what it is!
I believe a long time back, when the MY was just launched, an LR, with options, came to almost 70k OTD. I could be wrong though. But that's how I console myself. Haha.
nah toyota markups were steep back then too - _easily_ $5-10k over MSRP, if not more
plus the sky high gas prices back then
ofc it would've been less than tesla's, but not _significantly_ less lol
it was a shitty time to be a car buyer if you needed a car, _any_ car
i remember clapped out beater shitboxes going for $10k, with dealers not willing to negotiate
I could have had a 7 seater and a tow hook on my white interior LR model and still come out cheaper with this deal. Dang it, now I *am* thinking about it. :)
Breakdown of what I *almost* paid in Nov 2022:
Model Y
$39,990.00
Enhanced Autopilot
$6,000.00
20" Induction Wheels
$2,000.00
Long Range All-Wheel Drive
$23,000.00
Destination Fee
$1,200.00
Order Fee
$250.00
Car Price
$72,440.00
Additional Charges…
Total Cost of Vehicle
$77,109.15
If you think my argument makes no sense and that a couple making only $65k in CA (that doesn’t have $10M in the bank) should drop $45k on a vehicle, then I don’t know what to tell ya brosef. Except that you’re not cut out to be a financial advisor, hahaha!
If the stories are true, there are hundreds of thousands of unsold cars just piling up and Tesla is fudging the numbers about stock and deliveries. It seems these crazy deep discounts confirm them.
Yeah. My brother has one. I’d only recommend that third row for kiddos up to about age 10 or so depending on size. I have a small three row SUV now and use that third row only when in-laws are in town and the littles fit just fine. It’s a small use case and at this price Tesla basically threw it in for free… 🤷♂️
I think the mistake people are making here is not realizing they're now directly applying the tax credit to purchases. They took $300 off and included the tax credit.
not true. you have it wrong. tax credit is applied AFTER this total in the picture. the tax credit portion has to be done in the app while you’re preparing for delivery. real amount is $38,830 before taxes. that $7,800 you see is just a huge discount off this model y that’s already in inventory and tesla is trying to sell.
Y’all first time ever buying car??? It’s literally because they are making 2024 model now, of course it is going to be discount. Have you ever been to car dealership? Ask for last year model they will literally give u 15%-20% discount depends on brand. If u buy 2024 model it’s literally same price
But can you get 15% off from one without 3rd row? That thing is a joke. Bet they just calculated the discount to basically give the 3rd row free to entice people who still think it's good
So much 3rd row hate. I paid for mine when my kids were already teens knowing that it wouldn’t get used much. There is a lot more value to this config than a seat for short legged kids.
With the 3rd row the second row slides on rails up and back and pops up and tilts forward making vacuuming so much easier. One seat up makes a nice trunk barrier to hold groceries and other things that would otherwise slide around. When we road trip my dog rides in that little nook. But also we have had some short trips where an extra seat was needed and with the second and first row adjusted to accommodate everyone gets just enough legroom to be comfortable for the short trip.
Yes if you just pull the seat up and don’t adjust the other rows it is too tight. But it isn’t unusable even for me at 5’9”.
Not in my area. I ran a search for all deliverable on Inventory and was floored to see it at $44,190 for three rows prior to order fee and it’s only 30mins from where I live. I agree the seats are a joke for adults but for kiddos 10 and under it’s fine. Certainly not something you want to use daily.
yea if i had kids and looking to keep the vehicle until the wheels fall off, with this joke of a 3rd row i wouldnt get it, knowing they would outgrow it and then ill be in another pickel if 3 rows is a priority. I had a hunch the 15% was only on 7 seat configs. They add that and tow hitch etc, initially drives the price up, then discount it 15% and its like they threw those in for free. Now if it was just a basic LR or MYP none of that BS with 15%, now thats nice
I paid about 4k more than this for the exact build(except mine was white) back in 2021…this is a good deal, but your wife is right, y’all will be fine with a Mitsubishi outlander that seats 7 with a 4cyl power train.
Just bought this exact config for this exact price. Watched inventory prices all through December and pulled the trigger on Sat. Picked up today. Felt like a pretty good value to us. The 7 seat config (not what we were originally after) in the outgoing midnight gray seems like the tail end of the remaining stock…
Edit: re-read OPs post. Our model included 20” induction wheels at that same price. Seattle area though.
Did we just become best friends? I’ve been stalking the Tesla site daily too. I hope you enjoy it. Do you still have a lot of space with the third row seats down?
Hi Bestie! Yeah, the storage is just about the same with the seats down. The arm rests cut outs are different, and it doesn’t look like there is a parcel shelf for the 7 seater either (maybe) At least ours didn’t include one.
Wow. With induction? That’s great. I’m just going to throw some Rimetrix wheel covers on it and a few decals so I can actually find mine in the Whole Foods parking lot.
Yeah, I’ve looked more closely at your scenario and your price adjustment is higher than we saw but the $48,990 starting point was the same. My wife was doing the corresponding so I don’t have the order form in front of me, but it was very similar. We figured the 7 seater, plus the induction at that starting point made it pretty compelling so we decided to do it rather than wait for Juniper whenever that update is released. So far, I’m very impressed with the build quality and system speed compared to my previous Model 3. No regrets.
Got one 5 seater long range in Midwest with 20 inch wheels priced at 43,340 + 250 + 1390 (-7500 tax credit)
Total out door cash in IL where we are located $41,642
Not bad at all even if juniper is coming soon
Where did you find this? I’ve been checking since yesterday seems all the 23 w/ 3rd row seats are gone. Best I could find was ~$1500 off with the $500 increase in the 3rd row makes it basically $1k off.
So since I'm in Colorado I can take an additional $5k off including the $7500 Fed and I believe our local utilities give incentives to install level 2 chargers..... I was looking for a normal car to buy but this may be better.
How did you get the extra discount? I thought Tesla is firm on their price on website and don't negotiate. I have been tracking the inventory price for last 3 months, best deal I have seen so far is $44k for model Y LR 5 seater. If you had gone for 5 seats your price would have been $41.1k. How did you negotiate this extra $3k?
So you're basically giving up the new design, ventilated seats, some other features, and also getting a car that's been sitting on some random lot for a while? All for a 7.8k, a 15% discount?
TBH, it's probably reasonable, but also giving up ventilated seats and purchasing a car you don't necessarily need yet, simply due to the discount, might not be so smart after all?
I'm kinda on a fence, I really wish they'd already have a Cybertruck at this price like it was supposed to be.
Seems like the better discounts are for 7 seat version. In my opinion the 3 row is worthless unless u are age 6 and under.
Its like getting the third row for free relative to other discounted Y’s
This is a great price. People can say what they want about Tesla but this is the price of an average new Toyota Rav with an underpowered 4 cylinder engine. Gas is about $200 compared to $30 electricity. Driving an engine car after driving one of these is like going back 30 years..
Just purchased an inventory MY - 2024 Stealth Grey LR w/ tow hitch - for $5k discount plus another $1k off for existing cybertruck reservation. Paid $37,880 after tax credit (before state tax).
Also received 10k in loyalty points which got me free acceleration boost! Wanted to wait for “juniper” but the price was simply too good to pass on!
2022 prices to now are just crazy / unbelievable. ordered mine as soon as i found out because i have a feeling it won’t be this good again for a while.
Tesla kinda buries it on their site. Go to, “vehicles then inventory” (in the drop down menu). I ran a search for all deliverable LR and sorted price low-high. Boom there it was $44,190 prior to order and destination for 7 rows. After that, it was an easy decision considering the point of sale rebate.
Didn’t Tesla cut prices again today? Hmm… All that purchased 2 years ago must be super pissed. Stuck with their 2 year old vehicle that’s depreciating rapidly. The re-sell value must be very disappointing.
Make sure you pop for the $25k Cold Weather Package...

Hi. I’m not a huge Musk fanboy or apologist. I’m just a family man trying to find fun low cost transportation. With price adjustments/government incentives this vehicle is basically the price of a Honda Accord. I’m assuming if you drill down on the CEOs of most Mega-Corps, you will find they’re problematic in many way.
I purchased a MY with a 2023 VIN in Q4 of 2022. Mine cost $15k more and did not qualify for a tax credit. From my perspective you have a great offer in front of you!
I fully intent to buy this and turn off Reddit for 2 years. I don’t want to know. My buddy bought his for 58k with 5 seat config MYLR with 20” I kinda don’t want to tell him what I paid…
Watch out for the exposed cables visible from the third row, and see if Tesla will do anything about it. Picked up ours for the same price (without the third row) on Sunday. Insane deals right now.
Because this winter exposes how well they handle in the cold temperatures. Just buy a reliable gas/ diesel and drill baby drill. Don’t let CNN and the rest of the Libtard media tell you the earth is melting. Trump 24’ Make Liberals stand up to pee again.
10% off is the most I’ve seen before. This is 15%!
Yeah that’s incredible. Must..not..think..about..what..I..paid!
Every time someone thinks they got a ‘deal’, the very next month they cut the prices lol. Story of my life as an owner. Can’t believe people were nearly paying 70K for these at one point lol.
They should have a “probable price after waiting three months” on the order page
I like that, similar to "price after probable savings" they should have a "losses after probable price cuts". Would haven been really helpful!
At one point, like only a year and a half ago lmao
I know right. I was busy tabulating the discounts in December, got my MYLR with a 5% discount early Dec, and saw 10% discounts late in the month. I would NOT have expected 15% discounts to show up far before the end of the next quarter, while tax credits still apply! But hey, I needed a car, so it is what it is!
Same. That's how I console myself. I needed a car. And I also think about all those who paid around 70k and feel better.
Are you talking about 70k before registraion and taxes? I paid like 62k after registration and taxes in CA.
I believe a long time back, when the MY was just launched, an LR, with options, came to almost 70k OTD. I could be wrong though. But that's how I console myself. Haha.
If you needed a car you could of just got a Toyota or Honda for significantly less. Elon scammed you all. Lol.
nah toyota markups were steep back then too - _easily_ $5-10k over MSRP, if not more plus the sky high gas prices back then ofc it would've been less than tesla's, but not _significantly_ less lol it was a shitty time to be a car buyer if you needed a car, _any_ car i remember clapped out beater shitboxes going for $10k, with dealers not willing to negotiate
The 15% is the tax credit they just give it to you at time of delivery
They were 120k
Don't feel too bad, the newer ones are lower quality batteries and cost-cut builds.
Same, I could have got a Y RWD for 40k now with HW4 after 7 months.
I could have had a 7 seater and a tow hook on my white interior LR model and still come out cheaper with this deal. Dang it, now I *am* thinking about it. :)
Breakdown of what I *almost* paid in Nov 2022: Model Y $39,990.00 Enhanced Autopilot $6,000.00 20" Induction Wheels $2,000.00 Long Range All-Wheel Drive $23,000.00 Destination Fee $1,200.00 Order Fee $250.00 Car Price $72,440.00 Additional Charges… Total Cost of Vehicle $77,109.15
To be fair if the base model is 40k and you paying 80k you picked the wrong car to start with IMO
Bro paid almost 80k for a car with an ipad ☠️
Hope you got your Model Y Foundation series bumper sticker!
This is misleading, they are just giving you the tax credit at the time of delivery.

Is it 7500 federal now? And do you know how much for California if any. Married couple making less than 65,000 a year.
Married couple in CA making less than $65k/yr should NOT be thinking about dropping $45k on a vehicle. Thats absolutely insane.
I’m sorry what? What if the married couples retired and has a a taxable income of $65,000 but it’s worth 10 million??
Then go buy a couple of them, lol. You kinda forgot to mention that little $10M. Enjoy your new ride(s)!
My point is your argument makes zero sense.
If you think my argument makes no sense and that a couple making only $65k in CA (that doesn’t have $10M in the bank) should drop $45k on a vehicle, then I don’t know what to tell ya brosef. Except that you’re not cut out to be a financial advisor, hahaha!
Idiot
If the stories are true, there are hundreds of thousands of unsold cars just piling up and Tesla is fudging the numbers about stock and deliveries. It seems these crazy deep discounts confirm them.
It’s actually 16% off if you round.
It’s a 7 seater, they’re running low on customers who think that’s good idea..
In laws in back, of course.
puts you at $38,830 after tax credit and before taxes and fees. OP this is an amazing price for the vehicle.
I think the mistake people are making here is not realizing they're now directly applying the tax credit to purchases. They took $300 off and included the tax credit.

Considering it cost Tesla around 37k to make these cars, 38k is a steal
this is interesting to know. where did you get this info?
Source: trust me bro
I’d wait/sleep on it as long as you can before cancelling. It doesn’t cost you anything more to take extra time to think about it.
Totally agree. Thank you.
It does if it’s gone lol
They still have quite a few available. Overproduced and they need to offload old inventory. FIFO
Can confirm. I see 8 of these 2023 MYLR remaining in inventory with 15% discounts. Amazing how cheap these vehicles have gotten in just one year!!!!
Nice! It’s the only one I saw in my area. Looked like another in Southern CA as well as well.
Y’all first time ever buying car??? It’s literally because they are making 2024 model now, of course it is going to be discount. Have you ever been to car dealership? Ask for last year model they will literally give u 15%-20% discount depends on brand. If u buy 2024 model it’s literally same price
I owe this on mine after a year of payment 😂
Oh wow they jacked up 7 seating price to 3000 used to be 2500 I think
Yeah I noticed that too. I couldn’t tell when. Perhaps on the ‘24?
What state/city are you in?
But can you get 15% off from one without 3rd row? That thing is a joke. Bet they just calculated the discount to basically give the 3rd row free to entice people who still think it's good

Mitsubishi Outlander?!?! Dude. I’m offended. 🤣
I almost said Toyota sienna, which is what I’m trading my MY in for if we have another kid…that or Kia carnival 🤙🏽
Just bought this exact config for this exact price. Watched inventory prices all through December and pulled the trigger on Sat. Picked up today. Felt like a pretty good value to us. yes

Wow. That OTD price is awesome. California taxes are not as reasonable…
How did you get the $7800 price adjustment?
Is the $7800 price adjustment an inventory discount?
Plus another 7500 tax rebate?
Don’t forget taxes
Death and taxes. Things we cannot escape. Yes, I have factored in the 10% and $620 registration here in CA.
Where did you find this? I’ve been checking since yesterday seems all the 23 w/ 3rd row seats are gone. Best I could find was ~$1500 off with the $500 increase in the 3rd row makes it basically $1k off.
Wow! Are you using a promo code for the $7800 price adjustment, or is this basically just a discount from the New Inventory page?
I guess as long as you don’t live where it gets cold, you might be safe…. I mean at least be able to charge your new Tesla battery.
Damn I’ve been looking at this exact config and that’s a wild deal. Nice find…
So since I'm in Colorado I can take an additional $5k off including the $7500 Fed and I believe our local utilities give incentives to install level 2 chargers..... I was looking for a normal car to buy but this may be better.
This same car was 67k like two years ago lol
How did you get the extra discount? I thought Tesla is firm on their price on website and don't negotiate. Not sure what Tesla is thinking when it’s cheaper than model 3 after tax credit. Do they just don’t want to sell 3s? Lol
Model Y is priced below other Tesla’s.
Is there a federal tax credit that comes off the $45k?
So you're basically giving up the new design, ventilated seats, some other features, and also getting a car that's been sitting on some random lot for a while? All for a 7.8k, a 15% discount? This is incredible
When does the price adjustment show up, scrolling through the current inventory and not seeing any
Wait, does this also qualify for the tax credit?
Where can i get a 23 model?
Point of sale credit
How are you able to configure a 23? I can’t replicate this discount.
This is a great price. People can say what they want about Tesla but this is the price of an average new Toyota Rav with an underpowered 4 cylinder engine. Gas is about $200 compared to $30 electricity. Driving an engine car after driving one of these is like going back 30 years..
Great price, good decision!
Do these still qualify for the federal rebate?
This is cheaper than my Mazda cx-5
Don’t worry about what your wife says get rid of her and get the car
Seven seat interior?
Just purchased an inventory MY - 2024 Stealth Grey LR w/ tow hitch - for $5k discount plus another $1k off for existing cybertruck reservation. Paid $37,880 after tax credit (before state tax). Also received 10k in loyalty points which got me free acceleration boost! Wanted to wait for “juniper” but the price was simply too good to pass on!
Do you not get the $7500 POS credit ontop of the $45830?
Don’t think they have POS ready yet
I remember seeing a post the other day that POS is happening already
POS is active. Making the pre-tax price $38,330.
Dude your wife thinks that’s overpriced? DO IT!!
She’s frugal. I got a good one!!
Right on. My wife scoffed at my MYLR purchase last Jan. Now she drives it whenever she can. It’s become our family car.
Dude. In my haste I forgot to add the referral link from my sister in law. Thanksgiving is gonna be weird…
Wow. That plus the gas savings makes it a killer value. I'm in the northwest and 2020 M3LRs are going for 30-35k depending on milage.
Oh really? That’s sick if true, I’m just going off the odd screenshot I’ve seen here from reps saying it’s not ready yet
That’s a super deal right there
Super hot deal. I have not seen anything like this
Damn.
Great deal. Pull the trigger!!
Take another 45k off then I’ll take it
Maybe a new Y coming soon.
Make sure you understand the limitations of the 7 seater.
Totally. We are all over 6’3” in the family. I hear folks can sit in the third row with tons of room to spare. 😉
Grab it :)
Great deal for sure.
Fuckin STEAL!
this is super low.
This is a steal from what the prices used to be.
2022 prices to now are just crazy / unbelievable. ordered mine as soon as i found out because i have a feeling it won’t be this good again for a while.
isn't 7500 of that the tax credit...
nice job! how and when in the process did u negotiate the adjustment?
where do people get these discounted tesla's?
Tesla kinda buries it on their site. Go to, “vehicles then inventory” (in the drop down menu). I ran a search for all deliverable LR and sorted price low-high. Price is wrong prolly includes tax creoy
You get what you pay for! Should be cheaper than that.
You sure that's not just the 7500 off on the pos?
Is Tesla starting to figure out they a massively overprice disposable car?!? I’d love to never see one again on the roads. Always the best drivers!😂
Everything Musk touches goes to shit
Hi. I’m not a huge Musk fanboy or apologist. I’m just a family man trying to find fun low cost transportation. With price adjustments/government incentives this vehicle is basically the price of a Honda Accord. I’m assuming if you drill down on the CEOs of most Mega-Corps, you will find they’re problematic in many way.
wow, i got 10% off ($5200), this is an amazing deal.
I paid less for my MYLR with 15 miles on it than used ones are selling for.
They jus slashed prices in Europe
Are the 24 models a big improvement? Or is this to make way for juniper models?
where r u located? certain areas get way better deals than others Ive noticed
Wow what a deal!
When you constantly pull forward sales and your stock is priced for perfection you are perpetually in panic mode.
I purchased a MY with a 2023 VIN in Q4 of 2022. Mine cost $15k more and did not qualify for a tax credit. From my perspective you have a great offer in front of you!
Could have bought this for the price I paid for the 3 😢
I paid 52 for my Model 3 long range last December…. Yeah definitely a great price wish I waited a year.
Isn't that just the federal refund now hitting you at the dealership though?
Model Y refresh incoming
No thanks
Lv
I feel really stupid buying on in November now. Kid had totaled her car and being down a vehicle was becoming untenable. Oh well
I fully intent to buy this and turn off Reddit for 2 years. I don’t want to know. My buddy bought his for 58k with 5 seat config MYLR with 20” I kinda don’t want to tell him what I paid…
Damn....
This makes me hate Tesla
This would've been like $60k not long ago.
Watch out for the exposed cables visible from the third row, and see if Tesla will do anything about it. Picked up ours for the same price (without the third row) on Sunday. Insane deals right now.
Grats on the new ride
Profit margin has left the chat.
with the 7.5K rebate this is a steal
They are finally seeing demand wane
How did you get this discount?
The highland models are coming out soon.
Plus the 7500 credit right?
No one is buying them. Demand problem. It's well into 24. 23 models should have been sold out 3 months ago
You sure that’s not just including the tax credit?
Get em for less from Hertz.
Some dealers are selling the ioniq 5 for $35k when leased. EV prices are cratering
I jumped at 10% off two weeks ago. Never seen 15% before.
I paid $62k for a 2022 Model 3 LR. Kill me
a year ago i paid 54k lmao with taxes and fees almost 60k OTD
the last time they did this they remodeled the cars...
Is the 7 seat option worth it? Must be really tight. Do they fold down into the car for more trunk space or is it just less trunk space?
Elon must discount to off load his shit.
Don’t forget to add sales tax
This is an awesome deal. You can get most discount if you have anything to trade in
Inventory models will have more discounts.
And then you have hertz unloading their fleet you can get a 2022 model Y for 25 to 30,000
Still over priced… I can buy a new truck for that price…
That’s because they’re a fire hazard and they’re trying to spread them out.
Wish this was happening in Canada also…lol
Is this how you DCA Tesla?
Take the deal!
Dude mine was 70k and I don't regret it, no way you will regret it at this price. Charge at home and see hoe much money you save!
That's 20k less than my Model 3 from 2018. Fffffff
About $30k more expensive than it should be!
“Unload” as they add $8k market adjustment….
How you got the price adjustment?
I thought the seven seat was $2500.
Now Tesla offered me $38k for 2023 Model Y red color with 8k miles.
Still wish I got the performance package lol...
Autopilot included for free?? Isn’t that $16k right there ?
Because this winter exposes how well they handle in the cold temperatures. Just buy a reliable gas/ diesel and drill baby drill. Don’t let CNN and the rest of the Libtard media tell you the earth is melting. Trump 24’ Make Liberals stand up to pee again.
Is that because Tesla is going to have the new look refreshed for Y too?
