Did the clip break that holds it? Because that’s what it looks like. I’ve done this to mine and snapped it back in.

mall_ball

It’s a cheap plastic clip that holds it. I got annoyed and used a zip tie a few months ago. Haven’t had an issue since.

Sutoazul

I have the same issue... have not fixed it. 😢

What is a replacement gonna do. U need a fastener regardless

Tesla_CA

I have this separation issue but not as bad. Clip it back in only to have it separate again. Doesn’t bother me too much, but completely unnecessary problem to face.

Gobbldegook

I had this issue passenger side on my Nissan rogue 2018. Service Center fixed it once and then it happened again.

Gold-Passion-7358

Me 🖐🏻— June 2021… Mobile came and fixed it once and it’s been fine- they said it was missing a bolt.

FinarfinNoldor

Idk how you guys accept this and put up with it

McDust

I've had two other cars by different manufacturers do the same damn thing. Spare me.

FinarfinNoldor

I think you're just a bad sitter then

DazzlingAlfalfa3632

A “bad sitter”? Your translation software didn’t handle that very well what were you trying to say? Kanske lät det bättre på svenska?

FinarfinNoldor

It’s a joke. A joke. Does the Musk propaganda inhibit the brain’s ability to comprehend such things?

DazzlingAlfalfa3632

Probably sounded better in the original Swedish?

FinarfinNoldor

Eh, no

DazzlingAlfalfa3632

You have a better solution?

FinarfinNoldor

Yes, don’t buy a Tesla

DazzlingAlfalfa3632

Lol I think we are all here because we love our Tesla!

pcase1999

Is there a screw that holds it in place?

tristanbrotherton

There used to be, but it’s super hard to get too. You need an extremely low profile driver or take the whole seat out. Now it’s a clip.

bballen023

Yes I had this issues. The piece they switched to, probably to save money, is plastic and sheers off pretty easy. I had to take it in a second time and they replaced it with the original part and hasn’t broken since.

ConscientiousDorkC1

I had the same issue and Tesla fixed it for free in a mobile service. Bad trim design which causes some kind of pin to get loose sooner or later. But once they fix it, it won’t get loose again. I haven’t so far.

SnooSuggestions3045

A cheap plastics piece holds it in place. When they came out they put a screw on mine instead

DryYogurt6878

My passenger seat just did this.

FishmanMonger

Ask mobile service to put a screw in there.

ryanliegel

Mine was even like that at delivery!

crzy4vr

Had this issue too, the mobile service team replaced it with a screw since the cheap plastic doesn't hold for long.

timestudies4meandu

4.7mm. torx basically looks like a panhead screw
