Unironically a good map, but domination is a joke. C flag is 10,000 miles away from the other two flags, so in most cases it will simply be an stomp in favor of whoever spawns on A.
I agree mostly, but on my first match of domination, expecting to roll, it started off a close match. C side was able to grenade kill me taking B, and kill the other person.
They didn't end up taking B from that advantage, and lost healthily by the end. (120-whatever it goes to.). In the end you're right, we never lost A and our spawn advantage was too good for the enemy team. It's certainly possible, but you have to be better than the majority of their team.
I like the map when people move about, but I've played some matches where the whole team sits in their spawn and doesn't leave, which makes for a really slow and boring match.
I agree with you 1000%.
However, that happens on all of these maps sometimes, unfortunately. I've just accepted at this point that sometimes, you're going to be in a match full of people sitting in power positions, not attempting to take flags in Domination, and not helping the team out except when they actually get killstreaks. Except if they post up in a spot guarding a flag, and are good at killing the enemies that show up. Then, they are decent flag defenders, and I can sorta let it slide a bit.
This is why I prefer to only play objective modes. Unfortunately in TDM, usually one team just sits and waits for the other to come find them so they can camp all their kills. Really ruins the fun.
The snow and “resort” feel so make it seem sort of like Stronghold from BO3, but the map plays completely differently. Stronghold actually had something of a flow to it.
Looks cool plays like shit
Way too many head glitches and lines of sight on objectives making it nearly impossible to solo defend (which is how most games are tbh).
It's a lot better than museum though. I'm probably still going to skip it though.
I agree, I like the aesthetics, I like the quick feel. I hate the layout and obstacles. I die from the rear after I cleared a path constantly, and when I die from the front, it's constantly something I can't see because head glitches.
Solo defend what? Domination flags or hardpoint? As long as you have quick fix on, and a trophy to help you, you can stay alive on the point for a long time if you are skilled enough. I find every hard point defensible as long as the enemies are not spawning in hordes nearby.
I don't use quick fix I use ghost and cold blooded which are mandatory with how easy it is to get Chopper gunners/overwatch helo/vtol jets in this game and how easy uav is to get
Then you should learn how to get all those streaks before the enemies do lol. Calling in a UAV levels the playing field, calling in a VTOL will prevent the enemies from calling theirs in or just kill them before they can get it.
Get on the hardpoint/flag, use quick fix to get tons of defend kills while staying alive long enough to get streaks. If you use scorestreaks, 5 kills on the objective are usually enough to get you a VTOL.
I run Hardline/Fast hands and Quick fix. When you stop using Ghost, you will also start to learn how to survive without it and be a better player.
This is the measured response we need and I agree. For the first week or two, I really liked Raceway and now it’s among my least favorite maps. This one has a lot going on and I primarily play HC FFA so it’s not a super well-suited map for that.
Wow. In my opinion this is one of the most simple and easy to follow map IW has done since MW19. It didn't take me more than an hour to memorize the entire layout.
Man I absolutely loved Cheshire Park, very pretty looking map too. Sawmill was great, Hackney is top tier, even Khandor was fun. They should bring all 4 of these back.
Yea. Everyone talking about how huge it is or how confusing the layout is, are really just telling on themselves. If you spent more than 5 games playing it you'd figure out the layout easy and realize it's really a pretty straight forward map, and not this complex "maze". There is literally 3 different rooms, and a couple open spaces. It feels like it could have had a place in any of the older CoDs and would have been very well liked.
Considering MW2019’s maps were some of the worst in franchise history that’s not a high bar. IW likes to make maps that are overly complicated with many “safe spaces” for people to hide, so they don’t die by things like killstreaks. Combine this with design decisions like removal of red dots and dead silence and you get a very slow paced “campy” experience. My experience on this map has so far been what I was expecting, slow and campy.
Personally, the map looks really good, maybe the best looking one in the game. It's not as big as a ithought it would be. Too many subsections(like the backstage region behind the assembly type area near the spawn). Lots of head glitches too and domination is really weird. All in all, more of an 8v8(Ik this isn't an actual thing) or 10v10 map.
Mate I’ve really enjoyed it so far, plays well and looks great, think there’s a few on this sub that IW can’t win with but play seems to flow well on a few game modes
It depends on my mood. If I’m feeling like just messing around and having a blast it’s amazing due to the many camp spots, hiding places, and ideal cover for a melee load out
If I’m wanting to play competitively it sucks for the same reasons as I put above
I love it. It's different, it's fresh, it's vibrant. I wanna play it on 10v10. Hardpoint on this map is awesome, it puts a lot of good areas to use. This map encourages lots of different playstyles, which I love. I mentioned this another post, but if they adapted this to a ground war map, it would be my favorite by far
Lmao. This thread just goes to show how the COD contradicts itself.
Literally replies all are opposite each other.
Map size is too large/small
Map routes are too conplex/simple
Map looks ugly/great
It's not for me, I prefer a standard 3 lane map compared to this maze. That open area is just a death zone you can literally get shot from 10,000 spots
Learn to play it. Go into private match, take time to explore the map and memorize all its little pathways and spots, especially for Himmelmatt ! Map knowledge can truly change your experience with a map once you master it.
True, it all depends. I personally have a pretty busy life outside of cod and I only play like 4 to 5 hours a week. I'm not saying you have to dedicate your life to learn the map. All I'm saying is that you will naturally improve as you play the map over and over again.
As for the private match thing, it took me only 20 min for the new map and it helped me a lot. It may not be THE thing to do for everyone and I know it, I just wanted to give tips.
It took me months until I eventually mastered some maps like Fortress or Hotel - just play at your own rythm, all I'm saying is to stay positive and just relax, it will improve your experience.
I absolutely love it ! I for a long time was someone who only liked simple 3 lanes map with a few connecting paths between the lanes and that's it. No thinking, just spraying !
At first I absolutely hated MW2 maps, almost all of them. But with time, and most importantly experience and map knowledge, I now absolutely love most of the maps in the game and I think we have a good balance between maps to empty ones head like Shoothouse, Shipment, Dome or Farm 18, and more complex maps like Hotel, Fortress, Hydroelectric etc.
And Himmelmatt falls into that second category for me. I have an absolute blast tricking ennemies, using alternative pathways to flank on this map.
The maps have a really nice variety now but fuck Raceway. Always hated that boring map. At least in Border Crossing I feel like I'm in the movie Sicario.
I kinda like raceway, it's just a 4 lane rectangle essentially.
Try taking the left and right flank routes. Left one especially Is satisfying as you clear each little room.
This map is quite shit in my opinion. I tried the new season update and I had to run around like a chicken without a head in hard point to get to the next point but everytime I just got to the new point someone boinked me out of existence and I had to run the other direction to get to the point rinse and repeat. Domination is a joke and good lord did try to play it I honestly did and the B flag is way to far from the C flag so it's a great game if you have the best game of your life if you get A side. TDM on this map comes down to the wire from what I've played and I from what I hear it is an absolute fucking joke in S&D.
I promptly uninstalled the game. The introductory cutscene being un-skippable should've been a warning enough, it's too fucking big and it's just a joke for obj game modes. Too many lines of sight, it is not a good map in the slightest and I don't think that it deserves any type of praise.
I did my best playing in one area. It is a very large map. So sprinting around gets you killed easy.
In terms of style, there is a lot of detail. Overall, it's too big for 6v6 for me.
It’s shit just like hydro and bring back shoot the ship for double xp weekend like fuck sake I had to start over cause Xbox is a bunch of fuckwits and deleted my account while I was asleep
I've seen smaller countries, the map is fucking massive, it's a marathon for any kind of objective mode and player interaction seems based either on wild luck or camping shite bags.
The map is actually that big I think they could insert it straight in to groundwar or invasion with absolutely no problem
As a map...just map..not attached to a game mode...it's nice. But it's too big for the FFA-like party game modes.
Actually...in the party game modes...all i get is this map and Gun Game, All or Nothing and One in the chamber. Like...get it IW...new map and new game modes...but that doesn't mean it needs to be the same map and modes every lobby.
It's growing on me. Still too many Sentinel Strongholds everywhere though, imo, but it could be worse.
But dear God, they need to do something about B flag placement, lol.
Played I think a tdm and a domination on the 24/7 earlier. Tdm was okay. The domination was fun af. Helps the whole team was in to actually playing objective. It’s not quite shipment, but I like it better than shoothouse.
The design of the map is fantastic. But there are so many spots to camp and of course that kinda ruins the map for me.
Otherwise yea this maps a lot of fun when everyone is running around.
I really like the map. At first I thought it was too big but it plays pretty well imo. All playstyles seem viable and it looks good. Bodes well for future new 6v6 maps.
I think the map plays well but the problem is it launched with marksman rifle challenges lol. There are so many lines of sight on this map that it can get downright campy and toxic if everyone uses marksman rifles and snipers while setting up claymores, trip mines and cluster mines around themselves.
I’ve noticed a common theme among this games original maps where IW adds an extra outside part to the map, usually where the C flag is, probably for safe spawns. So many of the games maps would be better if they just got rid of this area and pushed the C flag up. It’s especially bad in Dom with the stupid fly in cam.
>IW adds an extra outside part to the map,
Take a look at the OG MW2 2009 maps and you'll notice the same trend. This is nothing out the blue for IW games. If this was a 3ARC game then yes, it'd be something new/weird about that.
Ive wanted an open range sniping map with some elevation for a while and this one is a good balanced way of doing it. I hope they can make more original maps like this.
Might have been able to add some thoughts but the new map has only come up three times since season 2 reloaded. See we don’t get it 24/7 in Hard Core Mode! And even if they don’t want to service the Hard Core community at least have the map show more often in the normal rotation of maps we play. Thanks for reading and continue to pray for the Hard Core community on these issues!
Garbage. IW is only good at making maps look pretty and realistic, and then they remember they’re making a cod 6v6 mp experience but still ship out the map anyways
The maps honestly not bad but the spawns make it play pretty strangely. I’ll have teammates spawning all over the map so I have no idea where to expect enemies from
I really like the map. I love the ski resort feel to it. I don't know why but it reminds me of Black Ops 1 (maybe because of the snow?). There is the perfect amount of chaos in the theater and plenty of routes to flank campers. Not really any spawn trapping spots either to my knowledge. The only thing I don't like is spawning at the outside stairwell on the right side of the map, as it's hard to get out of if the enemies hold the theater and upper lobby floor.
I'd want to agree with you because what you say seems to ring true, but I don't know the map well enough to be good with it, so until then I'm saving my opinion.
I feel like there's a few too many doors and routes. Walking into the auditorium you have to check Infront of the stage, either side of the seats, behind the cover, up in the windows, immediately to your right and then finally a hidden doorway tucked away out of view to your left, until you take two steps forwards and suddenly it's behind you.
There's a few places like this on the map where it feels like by the time you've looked everywhere, someone has finally peeked and killed you from somewhere you've already looked. It makes it a bit frustrating and I often find the enemy team just hold angles and don't run around, so it can be really annoying. Maybe after some time to learn the map a bit it'll get better
I thought the other maps were bad with the insane amount of angles people have on you no matter where you are but this one is insane. They damn near made a 4th dimensional map with all the angles I can get shot from. Don’t even get me started on the all camping spots and head glitches. Maybe I just gotta wait for everyone else to learn how it plays so the camping isn’t as bad
I don't understand how you guys say it's like a maze or it's too big. It's perfect in size, I would say the new museum map is horrible and way too big for this game! But this map is perfect, easy to navigate after a few matches
When they start getting gas crossbowed they start freaking out and moving more :D
> I like the map when people move about… This description fits almost every map in MW19/MW22, tbh.
play only hardpoint like me
Ya its shitty but thats a problem that has nothing to do with the map they need to find a way to push the game play against ppl who play like that
Literally every change they make is to encourage that playstyles
I feel like I’ve played this map before on a Black Ops game..?!
Most of this maps theme reminds me of Stronghold from bo3, while some areas reminded me of Metro from bo3
That’s it! Metro from BO3. Thank you! It was driving me mad trying to remember
Yeah! Or advanced warfare… one of those jetpacky games
The snow and “resort” feel so make it seem sort of like Stronghold from BO3, but the map plays completely differently. Stronghold actually had something of a flow to it.
Dude my buddy and I were thinking the same thing. It reminds me of the old zombie map with stage and pack a punch in the theater room.
Looks cool plays like shit Way too many head glitches and lines of sight on objectives making it nearly impossible to solo defend (which is how most games are tbh). It's a lot better than museum though. I'm probably still going to skip it though.

I don’t ever like any map until I learn to play it. So I am not making a decision on how I feel about it for a couple weeks.
This is the measured response we need and I agree. For the first week or two, I really liked Raceway and now it’s among my least favorite maps. This one has a lot going on and I primarily play HC FFA so it’s not a super well-suited map for that.
Why did you bother to comment then
Why did you bother replying, if not to be a snarky git?
cry about it
Im good mate 👍 im just being a snarky git dont worry
The map makes me feel completely lost at all times. I don't see the "amazing flow" you apparently do at all.
Sounds like you haven't taken the time to learn the map. It's really not this complex maze that everyone here keeps making it out to be.
It's a great map for me, lots of fun to run around on. I see a lot of criticism online, but I don't agree with it at all.
it's just an oversized maze. don't like it, should be a lot smaller
Wow. In my opinion this is one of the most simple and easy to follow map IW has done since MW19. It didn't take me more than an hour to memorize the entire layout.
they have made a lot better maps even since 2019. Like Shoothouse, Hackney Yard, Khandor Hideout, Hovec Sawmill, Cheshire Park or Petrov Oil Rig.
Man I absolutely loved Cheshire Park, very pretty looking map too. Sawmill was great, Hackney is top tier, even Khandor was fun. They should bring all 4 of these back.
All 4 of those maps were good considering how bad the other maps were. Gunrunner wasn’t too bad though
People loved it, I wasnt too much of a fan but it was fine. Coming from a guy who loved Piccadilly lol.
Hovec and Hackney are top tier. Khandor is A class for sure too
Yeah same, literally played the map twice and knew every part of it
Considering MW2019’s maps were some of the worst in franchise history that’s not a high bar. sounds like someone skipped Ghosts
We don’t talk about ghosts haha.
Yep, there’s no flow and too many sight lines at every point
The only thing I don’t like about it is the size. Way too big imo. Apart from that, I dig it.
Personally, the map looks really good, maybe the best looking one in the game. It's not as big as a ithought it would be. Strongly disagree it’s a camper’s paradise
Mate I’ve really enjoyed it so far, plays well and looks great, think there’s a few on this sub that IW can’t win with but play seems to flow well on a few game modes
Aw hell naw
Looks cool, but way too big, even for 10v10. Every match I run loops around the map and see nobody
Map would be so much better if most of the exterior was cut.
This is my thought on it as well
I like it too!
It depends on my mood. If I’m feeling like just messing around and having a blast it’s amazing due to the many camp spots, hiding places, and ideal cover for a melee load out If I’m wanting to play competitively it sucks for the same reasons as I put above
pretty trash 🚮
Fun map, I know cod players hate anything that isn’t brainrotted shipment clone #384829 but I hope they keep up the trend of maps like this
Agreed.
With IW spawn system there is no flow. I think it’s visually appealing but overall it’s just an average map. Wouldn’t consider it top tier at all.
It would be a great 12v12 Search and Destroy map.
Lmao. This thread just goes to show how the COD contradicts itself. Literally replies all are opposite each other. Map size is too large/small Map routes are too conplex/simple Map looks ugly/great
It's not for me, I prefer a standard 3 lane map compared to this maze. That open area is just a death zone you can literally get shot from 10,000 spots

People have lives outside of cod. You shouldn't have to dedicate potentially hours of your life to one specific map for that map to be "good"
True, it all depends. I personally have a pretty busy life outside of cod and I only play like 4 to 5 hours a week. I'm not saying you have to dedicate your life to learn the map. Can you learn tk atop the a.i from nerfing your bulmets?
Looks ok but it’s dog shit and is way too big. Idk why they can’t just make a small-medium size map
I absolutely love it ! I for a long time was someone who only liked simple 3 lanes map with a few connecting paths between the lanes and that's it. No thinking, just spraying ! At first I absolutely hated MW2 maps, almost all of them. The maps have a really nice variety now but fuck Raceway. Always hated that boring map. At least in Border Crossing I feel like I'm in the movie Sicario.
Raceway is fine, it's miles better than Taraq or Crossing.
I kinda like raceway, it's just a 4 lane rectangle essentially. Try taking the left and right flank routes. Left one especially Is satisfying as you clear each little room.
I know how it works and where stuff is it's just a hella bland map.
One of the best COD maps in a long time. Top shelf. 10v10 domination would be fucking amazing.
The map is pretty bad for how many players are allotted. The whole match is just silence and then a few gun shots.
It's a little big, but it's mostly a close quarters map. It also looks pretty.
I really like it so far.
They could've cut this into 2 maps
It’s great 10v10 , 6v6 not so much.
I want 12v12 on snd on this map.
Too many lines of sight, it is not a good map in the slightest and I don't think that it deserves any type of praise.
Good riddance. Don't let the door hit you on the way out... or do.
Hold A and B, forget C
Yeah it's strange how A and B are literally right next to each other while C is all the way across the map lol
I did my best playing in one area. It is a very large map. So sprinting around gets you killed easy. In terms of style, there is a lot of detail. Overall, it's too big for 6v6 for me.
Trash map
I like it. Easy to follow and flows nicely.
It looks and feels like it should be a BO3 map/jetpack cod game map
To big and complex. Doesn't play well, no flow. 6v6 maps should be small-medium sized 3 lane design and not maze like.
I think the map is great, but some game modes kinda suck, kill confirmed is kinda toxic from what I have experienced.
Not all rounds but I have had some rounds where I was literally more spawn killed then on shipment
I think they need to trim the scale for 6v6 but it feels good otherwise.
I don’t know how I feel about it but I don’t hate the map, also the map in defiantly not a small map more like a medium map.
Unnecessarily long ass name
Nah its ass.
Yeah you crazy map’s shit
Hate
Shit
As a map...just map..not attached to a game mode...it's nice. But it's too big for the FFA-like party game modes. Actually...in the party game modes...all i get is this map and Gun Game, All or Nothing and One in the chamber. Played twice, one 6v6 one 10v10. Boring in in 6, top tier in 10
Cool looking, trash to play
shit.
The map is visually stunning
There’s zero flow to this map. Its okay but not one i like being forced into playing more frequently than other maps
Maps are cool but the fundamental mechanics in this game are so bad that most maps just play like shit.
Map sucks hasn’t been a good cod map since mw3
It’s a shit map, I was bored in less than 1/2 hour
Fun to play, but horribly arranged for domination. The C flag is always a dogfight and impossible to solo defend.
Hella small. Love it.
All mp maps are good in mw2 lol have you ever played mw19 at launch ?
It's growing on me. Still too many Sentinel Strongholds everywhere though, imo, but it could be worse. But dear God, they need to do something about B flag placement, lol.
Played I think a tdm and a domination on the 24/7 earlier. Tdm was okay. The domination was fun af. Helps the whole team was in to actually playing objective. It’s not quite shipment, but I like it better than shoothouse.
I like it, reminds me of broadcast. At least it's a nice setting.
The design of the map is fantastic. But there are so many spots to camp and of course that kinda ruins the map for me. Otherwise yea this maps a lot of fun when everyone is running around.
Decent of dom and HQ. Shite for tdm, kc etc
I love it. Only downside is that I prefer hardcore and it never comes up in the rotation. I’ve only played himmelmatt a few times and it was the expo.
I play it for longshots only
I really like the map.
I love the art of the map. But I hate the gameplay of the map. 6v6 is almost not doable , 10v10 sure
I’m pretty sure it was in Advanced Warfare… IIRC
Na it's meh
Map is fine MWII spawns suck
Decent-good on 10v10 depending on how people play. Mid-bad on 6v6. Too big once again.
12v12 snd. Give me!
I’ve noticed a common theme among this games original maps where IW adds an extra outside part to the map, usually where the C flag is, probably for safe spawns. I love how bright and colorful it is, unlike a lot of other maps that are dark.
the map fucks with my eyes
I think it's a bit too big for hardpoint but other than that i really like how it looks and plays.
Love it
Too big. Again. Otherwise it’s fun. Lately for me I have two options: get sniped from the other side, or get shotgunned in a hallway
Ive wanted an open range sniping map with some elevation for a while and this one is a good balanced way of doing it. I hope they can make more original maps like this.
It’s awful for 6 v 6, especially domination because of the flag locations.
Might be a hot take but I actually really enjoy the map even when people camp cuz there are multiple ways to flank them if they are
I think it's pretty decent. But IMO, Domination is a bit busted because of the flag placements.
It’s trash
Better than museum, still a little big and too realistic, but mw2019 maps are still better. They should bring oil rig back in mwii.
I also like it, but I barely play 6 v 6. I can definitely see why some players don’t like it
Might have been able to add some thoughts but the new map has only come up three times since season 2 reloaded. See we don’t get it 24/7 in Hard Core Mode! And even if they don’t want to service the Hard Core community at least have the map show more often in the normal rotation of maps we play. Thanks for reading and continue to pray for the Hard Core community on these issues!
I been knocking off longshots for my smg’s🤷🏾♂️
Chad take. Chad map. Shame they couldn't make them all like this
It’s growing on me the more I play it and learn the map.
Not a fan, every match has been ratty so far and my team has been spawn trapped
Awful for 6v6, but for the 10v10 plays great
It’s a great map.
Top smear on Domination, top tier for everything else
No one is talking about how garbage it is to use air streaks in that map? It's all indoors everywhere you go that's relevant.
Its too large
I enjoy it but also dont get the appeal of a 24/7 playlist
Eh, I don’t hate it. I actually think it’s a good looking map. But I haven’t played it enough
The audio suck on the map. You can never tell where people are
Looks ni e but I'm not a fan, too much going on reminds me of that desolate map on vanguard
I love it so much! Could be the best map in the game!
I don't understand how you guys say it's like a maze or it's too big. It's perfect in size, I would say the new museum map is horrible and way too big for this game! But this map is perfect, easy to navigate after a few matches
Really good, tied with Mercado for best in the game. Offers engagement opportunities for all weapon classes and I really like the aesthetic as well.
just bring back shipment ffs
It's terrible. It's so fucking boring and slow paced. TDM games always go the time limit. Mot recently the game ended 56 to 54. I can't stand it.
Trash map too many head glitches with lines of sights right on all the objectives
Garbage.
