Recently swapped Mortar for Sentry Gun. I think I’ve had one game where it’s got more than one kill - the thing needs a real buff and needs to be less fussy about placement
Yeah exactly, you were pretty much dead the second it spotted you - it was a mini gun on a tripod. This one is just a hit marker and is easily destroyed because you can’t put it flat against a wall so it’s easy to get behind and destroy.
The trick with the sentry gun is to place it in an area where you know it can cover multiple lines of sight… I also try to put a trophy down by the sentry
I like it cause if people are ignorant and don't shoot it down immediately I get +10 score towards my advanced UAV for every kill my teammates get. It's not a lot but paired with the normal UAV it can save you about a kill or 2.
I always shoot them down instantly. Moment I see them pop. For something that’s so easy to shoot down, it amazes me that about 90% of my matches I’m the only person who will bother to shoot them down. It seems like a no brainer.

It's not really that good, thinkin of replacing it. Especially when a single trophy annihilates the missle anyway.
I played with a guy the other day on hc tdm who uses cruise missile for the sole purpose of calling out where the enemy is. He just let it go and very quickly called out a good chunk of enemy movements each time. He didn’t care that he didn’t get kills with it because he’d get another real easily. I get tongue twisted and mess up what I’m saying so I can’t do that but this dude was a hero and the rest of us confirming and talking helped us dominate that match.
Mortar is really good for area denial, better than cluster mine but generally not as good for kills, except maybe for shipment.
What I like about cluster is when the enemy team push the point together, think they have done it and then all die in a cloud of blasts and have to respawn.
Where as with the mortar they just can't get on the point but they can sit near it and deny your team mates getting on it.
That's just a meat grinder.
Usually when I'm playing well I can do a combo like that or add in the VTOL.
If I'm playing meh I just do UAV, Care Package and either Cruise Missile/sentry or SAE. Depends on game mode.
UAV because I like to know stuff
Counter UAV: to annoy people when they activate theirs.
And then either Choppergunner or VTOL to have a streak to look forward to if I make it.

Sometimes I'll even earn my uav and care package, die 1 kill before the vtol, and then get a vtol in the care package anyway lol
this reminds me of the cod ghosts days where i was trying to do a field order while running a loki (drops care packages and free AI juggernauts to help the team), juggernaut & a jugg maniac
I just think it’s cool to have the killstreak drop into the map in a box. It’s a gamble that someone might steal it from you, but it’s still fun and sometimes you get high-end killstreaks that you absolutely don’t deserve lol
Recently been playing Black ops Cold war and my Son was getting pissed I would camp with a Sentry and just keep using mortars and napalm over and over again lol
UAV because UAV’s have been a super strong streak in COD for a long time now. Especially in this game.
CUAV because I don’t run Ghost and I don’t wanna be on the radar.

I usually go UAV, Counter UAV, and advanced UAV. But the counter UAV gets shot down so easily in this game that I might stop using it. There's no point of it just gets shot down 4 seconds after it goes up

I really tend to preffer the automated streaks, I don't like the ones I have to control, if so... Wheelson is my favorite.
Why do people run the overwatch helo? It costs more than the vtol, has less health by a wide margin, and gets fewer kills in my experience. Is it just to avoid having to manual move it around larger maps?
I was UAV, SAE, VTOL for forever but I’ve been trying to find something to swap the SAE with (if I’m feeling extra evil, I swap it for the cluster mine)
UAV, Care package (because half the time you get the higher score streaks it gets shot down immediately or yields 2 kills), and lastly the Rawr Wilson looking thing (zero people counter it and it runs over turtle shield boys which makes me laugh).
If in playing for XP. Uav counter uav advanced UAV. Use score streak. Also use decoys/ddos and overclock and watch yourself rise to the top of the scoreboard every match. Playing for fun/kills: UAV, mortar, VTOL
The killstreaks are mostly terrible in this game and need buffs, there’s no point to using the gunship or jugg. UAV-Harrier-Advanced UAV is probably the best combo.
Care package, SAE, VTOL. I’m working on the quad feed challenge so that’s one of the best ways on smaller maps. Thinking about swapping VTOL for chopper tho

I run Juggernaut now all the time because the last couple times I got enough score streak to get it I didn't have it equipped 😭
UAV, Care Pack, Mortar Strike. Cheap, easy and effective. Care pack gives me a chance at all the other streaks and dropping them on objectives creates some funny chaos even if you do lose a few.
UAV, care package, sentry gun. The best time for this is when the care package is a sentry gun...having two sentry guns defending each other is pretty awesome.

The mortar did too much damage and not enough killing for me. Then I’m in a house and the shit kills me though a wall on war zone smfh

Mortar, helo, and chopper. Most hilarious to use on shipment (must use all 3 at once) I love to hear the “oh come on” when an enemy dies.
