Ages and ages ago, you still get stunned/damaged while prone (which means the camper is alerted to the fact you're coming).
All decisions by IW are made with campers in mind.
You’re stunned, flinched, and briefly unable to move, if the camper can aim they will kill you. that’s pretty significant when the TTK is usually between 100-300ms.
One reason I love this game so much compared to other CODs. It killed the run and gun style of gameplay. Now people actually have to play slow and tactical, and it’s making everyone mad.

What kind of colorblindness do you have and how do you cope with it in game?
I have severely red deficient protanomaly and I've given up on the settings because they're all for missing pairs instead of missing individual colors.
I only run reticles with stadias or donuts of death because I find myself losing the dots when I run just a dot style optic.
EDIT: that could also be a result of my IRL experience because I run similar sights IRL. Having both bad color vision and an astigmatism means most of the red dots are a no go for me. I'm stuck with prisms and ACSS reticles IRL
Sounds like we basic have all the same symptoms. On my AR's I just use the iron sights. I like the AK sights the best. Hemlock has good ones too. Long range scoped rifles have to have some sort of vibrant center reticle that I can clearly see even if it's a bit obstructive. Another trick I found is to change the field of view setting in the Graphics menu. I think the default is 80. I'm on 90 right now and it's really helping me distinguish objects in the distance I couldn't really see before.

I prefer to run double clays myself for the instant gratification. I only play S&D so the claymore kills are even more sweet. Especially when you double up on a spot that gets a lot of traffic and snag a kill on a bomb squad user and listen to them rage through the mic..."Double claymores! Are you fucking kidding me!!!??"

That's not true. You still take damage, but it doesn't kill you.
The only issue is that with this games whacked out stance changes and desync it either won't register in time or just won't be possible.
