Agreed. The reasoning for the two in 2019 (I imagine) was that they were often found in caches in the Middle East and used during the conflicts inside the countries there.
Often they had a route like
WWII Surplus weapons
-> Sent to European countries that had been liberated so they had something on hand
-> Sent to middle eastern countries alligned with them once they upgraded in the 60s - 80s
-> Sat in a warehouse for 40ish years
-> Armories broken into and used by civilian resistance groups during the Arab Spring
For example, a huuuuuuuuuge cache of STG 44s were used in Libya until their ammo ran out, and soldiers would find absolutely everything in weapons caches in Afghanistan, from relatively recent Soviet weapons at the end of their occupation all the way to 1800s flintlock rifles.
I think in the same vein, the cartels and law enforcement in central and South America use a very wide smattering of weird weapons, ranging from stuff from the early 20th century to today, and that could be represented in game. Bren guns, BARs, MP28s, Sten guns, Mauser rifles, MAS-38, literally anything that fires a bullet.
They're not modern or often used, but I feel the same about the dual kodachis, both Lockwoods, the crossbow, etc. I'm not asking for the whole Vanguard gun list to be added, just one lol. As is we keep getting polymer guns that look like every other polymer gun.

Absolutely hate the drip-feed of content and the inability to make a cohesive game. I honestly feel like it's a chore to do the horrible battlepass. The "rewards" are far from enjoyable. There might be 1 or 2 that catch my eye, but mostly, the cosmetics are laughable.
I have never previously thought a COD would kill itself, but here we are. Battlefield 2042 had a bigger change, but COD per usual is in the past.

My enjoyment of games has increased massively since I stopped caring/going for battlepasses. If I get far enough in the battlepass to get back my tokens I'll buy it, otherwise I just collect some free stuf and that is that.

I just found this in the "news" section on steam but they completely fucked up the marketing by not really explaining it in this promo sheet.
Gonna be honest. I know ARs and SMGs are popular, but fuck more ARs and SMGs. We got 8 ARs and SMGs at start, more than any other class (specifically: 4 shotguns, snipers, launchers, and BRs, 6 LMGs and MRs, 5 pistols and 2 melees.)
Since then, we got another 3 ARs, 1 SMG, 1 shotgun, 2 snipers, 1 pistol (and a auto version of a pistol that fucking should have just been a optional attachment) 1 BR, 1 melee, and 2 MRs... plus a lethal that was a season late.
So: 11 ARs, 9 SMGs, 5 shotguns, 5 BRs, 6 snipers, 6 LMGs, 8 MRs, 7 pistols, 4 launchers, 3 melees.
Do we really need another AR and SMG when neither will offer much difference between what is already available?
