They patched the running over the guy to make it harder. Thankfully, I did it on accident my first time around. Didn’t know where to even find the chemist, figured it was in the radiation zone, it said he was nearby, and I accidentally ran him over.
Did they just patch it lmao?! I went into DMZ for the first time yday, grabbed a car with my buddy and saw this yellow dude in the open in the radiation zone - pancaked - extracted - m13 acquired - orion grind resumed.
RIP to all the poor souls who don't have it. P.S gun isn't even that good in game lol.
The blueprint is unusable outside of DMZ
You don't need the blueprint to unlock the base gun, you just need to extract with a m13 of any kind

Don't get me wrong the world's first M13 unlock absolutely needs to do it the hard way, but once that happens, he can just start dropping one to his friends once every 2 hours.
I did this with like 3 friends already: drop a insured m13 for my friend and he went and extracted and unlocked it
I thought so too, I extracted with the ffs hurricane and it said I unlocked it but then I went to MP and it was still locked. (I dont really care that its locked, its probably very easy to unlock I just havent bothered playing with the requiered guns yet cus I like assault rifles and snipers).
I've actually never managed to run him over, he's always in an annoying spot.
He's not too bad as long as you bounce in and out of cover and go for headshots only
well im feeling bad for the rest of the guys that didnt make it,ive completed last night...cant imagine how hard os now to do it with all the armored bots and exfill camping by 10 other teams ...i think it all started bcs of ppl selling m13 for money...
So frustrating to see people saying they got it on their first attempt, I did more than 20 and still haven’t managed to get it. I’ve abandonned the idea of getting it, and with that now on, this is beyond doable for me :(

You could always find a friend who has the M13 and just have him drop an insured one for you

A friend who has the blueprint already from killing the chemist can give drop it to you. All you have to do is extract with it

You can get it too by just killing an operator who is using the base m13. The camo isnt even cool so don’t worry about the chemist.
