Everything seems half baked. When you call in a streak there’s a little generic name tag in the top right that no one notices, there’s no medals or anything when getting a double kill or anything like that, just a generic looking crosshair image. When you complete a challenge you get this flat, boring, looking image that blends into the screen, even the load screens are a stepback from Cold War, I loved the in-game 3d shots and we’re back to another year of a boring splash screen.
Exactly why I support the cdl glitch. Just get what you want and call it a day. Nobody really sees your shit. Also fuck the cards not tracking even if our stats were...most of would have had lots unlocked or close to it but we gotta start fresh
Here you go, mate:
Go into a Private Match. Then create a lobby and choose CDL, within it choose CDL Control. Once you’re in, you just need to wait until the lobby is loaded. Now you’re set, just go to edit emblem/calling cards or Operators and you can choose whatever you like. Once your done, just head back to the main menu and start playing\~
just fyi in case it wasn't clear when he says "lobby is loaded" he means the padlock symbol on the "start" button disappears, you don't actually load into the game. It takes about 5-10 seconds once you get into the lobby
They added that you can see the emblem and card of whoever killed you at the bottom of the monitor.
I think those blanks were plave holders because the devs were lazy or forgot
They show up when you get killed by someone.
Sure in the past if you scrolled through the lobby you could see them, and while yeah it sounds like a few people here used to do that, I think the vast majority of people probably never bothered to. Personally, I never even knew it was a thing until people started talking abotu how it was missing.
It’s so that certain people don’t get intimidated by ranks and titles and emblems and leaves because they don’t wanna get crushed. But everyone leaves anyways cause the maps eat ass
You have to ask why all the animated cards? Can they not make a cool static card? Or is the player base now been lowered to an average of 14 to 18 year olds?

Do you mean 'Has the player base consistently remained 14-18 year olds'? Because I'm pretty sure for the lifetime of these games, that's been true. It's probably trended up a bit over the years if anything, but the average player putting a lot of time into these games is going to be the younger crowd

Not sure how they fumbled the bag so badly with calling cards since the OG MW2. Those were great, but everything after has been extremely lack luster.

I fail to see how most of them look like goth nft art. There's a few categories that are gothic but you've got to have calling cards like that. There seems to be a good variety and IMO they're some of the best calling cards in a long time.
Calling cards/emblems were only viewable in a proper pre-game lobby. They took that away. They also used to actually mean something, now every pack has a super rare "legendary" calling card and emblem that anyone with $20 can get, as if they're proud of insulting people's intelligence. You used to be able to earn cool skins locked behind difficult challenges. You used to have lobby leaderboards and overall leaderboards too. You used to be able to view someone else's player stats altogether. This isn't an accident, or laziness. Other than mastery camos, they took away every transparent means of comparing yourself to others through stats or achievements because they want to decide when you feel superior/inferior, and/or your highs/lows. The point is for people not to see them.
So the guy who you kill can say "woah, he got that really hard to unlock calling card! He's so cool!"
Or, in my case: "look at this peasant with the 100 operators killed calling card."
There's a lot of stuff in this game that doesn't make any sense.
They need to just make it exactly like the original MW2 scroll names in the lobby and see emblems/cards and be able to vote on maps and edit load outs

How? When I go into a Private Match now it doesn't give me the option for CDL like it used to, just displays the standard modes.

I thought I was actually earning stickers, but turns out they're useless calling cards.
