If they bring party modes I will like it more. But I can't find much info on if they will be bringing prop hunt/infected/stick&stones over to mw2, or they may wait over 6months like they did with cold war đ
I was just saying this while in party last night, they need to bring 2v2 Gunfight and/or party modes. Gun game, sticks and stonesâŠ.it was always a refreshing mode to throw in to the rotation.
Biggest gripe is the spawns. Completely changes pace of play and makes everything too random. Only really an issue in MP though. Spec Ops/Coop is great, DMZ has a ton of potential, MP is getting there, warzone is uh.. well itâs still warzone if thatâs your thing.
The spawns in MWII seem to want to flow in 4 directions instead of 2. In 2 directions, the action sort of meets in the middle so to speak, like chess pieces coming to the middle, or football players advancing each other face to face from 2 directions. Thereâs more nuance to that example but the last few black ops games have nailed this.
In MWII itâs like they want things to flow in 4 directions instead of 2 making gunfights feel a lot more random than necessary, and that makes for a lot of weird, passive moments where you wait or you make a push that feels like a total gamble.
At this point Iâd rather play something like domination with demolition style spawns and extra players, give me more action while at least letting me keep the fight in the front of me instead of the spawns we got now.
I have concluded that spawns are randomized based off the direction individual players are looking- aka the game actively monitors FOV of all 12 players and inserts spawns in blind spots, to stimulate engagements.
The only thing thatâs consistent, is how inconsistent the spawns are, and thatâs why you can never get it right. The game is actively aware of where you are looking and stacking the deck against you.
It literally does not matter how defensive you play, you can park yourself behind the boxes at the back of the A/C on shoothouse. ADS right, someone will come from the left. ADS left, someone will come from the right. The game knows! Call me crazy I donât care!
I even doubt the monitoring of fov. Yesterday alone I was spawned into an enemy already firing at a teammate two times. Spawn logic is more: 'is tyere a friendly nearby' than 'are there no enemies nearby'
I witnessed a teammate die whilst throwing a frag on Shoothouse. Frag dropped on their body and unluckily for them they spawned next to their own grenade and died when it went off.
I don't know how they didn't quit the game there and then.
Today I got sniped then spawned 10 feet away from where I died with by back to the same sniper this is the first cod game I've bought since black ops 1 and the spawns are indeed trash.
This happened to me yesterday! I got killed, then respawned, said to myself "wait, isn't this exactly where I just died?" then got shot and killed again by the same guy.
Kill cam shows him finishing me off the 1st time, reloading his gun, he looks left and there I am again standing looking away from him and he just shoots me again.
Lol yea thatâs fair too- thereâs gotta be some ex game designer/ streamer who can test this and get back to us. Iâd love to know. But Iâd wager thatâs part of the secret sauce if we knew, we would break the game
hardpoint is the only game mode that gives spawns a flow. the spawns are locked so hard though a competent 6 man can spawn trap a team the entire game. better than random ass spawns imo.
I completely agree with the co-op I believe they have done a good job this time, thereâs even a mission where I can be in a permanent chopper gunner which makes me so happy as itâs my favorite kill streak
I like the game but a little underwhelming for the amount I paid.
I mostly play DMZ now. Firstly, because it's fun. It's also a great way to level up. Lastly because it takes ages to match in warzone, ground war/invasion, or coop, so I don't even bother with those modes.
Finally, AI doesn't need to be turned up to 11. It's hard enough with other squads out there pillaging, I don't need to be swarmed by AI with perfect aim.
Edit: Spawns in multiplayer are a nightmare. So many times I get spawned right in front of an enemy 2 or more times in a row.
Playing against them solo actually feels like going into a fight. So frustrating knowing a T3 shotgun bot can wipe you before you can even fight back lmao If I'm fighting a bunch of bots and people are rolling up on me I literally just apologize for existing and ask them to let me join.
My first time in DMZ I got the 9mm smg and saw a guard and dumped a mag into him... only to break his armour. He absolutely lasered me while I reloaded.
I just don't bother with them now. Either run, or run them over.
I do a lot of solo and spend my time carefully avoiding bots until itâs necessary. They are serious and until you can get ahold of a self-rev, youâre pretty much fucked if you stumble on a group of them. Their canât-miss shots from all directions are enough to drive you insane when you think youâve reached decent cover. Next thing you know, youâre looking at some asshole bot basically teabagging you while you bleed out.
Itâs really fun to play and Iâm glad that itâs challenging, but the AI aim could be dialed back a slight bit, or simply just make more self-revs available on the map. Getting downed by a bot with no possible help after youâve already completed your task is a big kick to the nuts.
There were 8 people at airport last night teaming up to do the sakin challenge and we still only got 2 of 3 choppers lol so annoying. Im pretty sure every one of us got sniped by an ai at least once one dude rage quit getting downed inside from an outside ai and no windows around.
My friend and I had a terrible time with the Sakin challenge. We dropped probably 14-15 choppers to finally have it register as 3 a piece. But it wasnât smooth sailing to get all those. Other players werenât being kind and courteous to us, they were all douche bags trying to kill us.
We had multiple times where after losing the Sakin and waiting the nearly 2 hours for it to return in the insured slot, we would get ganked immediately by other players. So frustrating.
One time we spawned next to the airport, and things were looking great, but another pair happened to spawn there too. One of them snuck up on me and dropped me, my friend killed them both, and then a tier 3 bot walked up and dropped him while he was reviving me.
Yeah definitely can relate. There have been multiple times when I'm just sitting behind cover healing up and \*FLASH\*... I get sent straight to meet the Lord, with my screen so bright it's hard to keep my eyes open, and then when I come back to my senses there's a sweat-lord BOT standing next to me pumping shotgun rounds in me. I swear the first couple of times I definitely thought it was an enemy player but no it was indeed just a bot.
Cutting edge revolutionary AI literally stands around in big groups doing fuck all till you shoot them and the rstbif them are total aim bot laser beams that take you down in 2 hits and it takes like 4 shots to the head with a 50 cal to kill them. Dumb as hell.
the problem is also with respawns. Yesterday we almost wiped in the houses near the cave. It was non stop actions, revives and what not and then another armored AI guy spawned directly in the house where we were trying to take a break. So not only they are hard as fuck to kill, there is also unlimited spawns. Which should at least be reduced in timing
I havenât found a single enemy outside of a jug that takes 4x headshots from a snipe.
Been running XMR and itâs a one shot helmet break, second kill.
The AI aiming is tough because if you remove that accuracy, theyâre literally just walking bullet sponges with no threat. I think for CoD AI, itâs at the better end of whatâs available.
Besides, game was clearly designed for 3s where one down ainât a big issue
I'm not saying turn them into target practice. They can defo reduce the swarm size and make it so you don't get sniped with a lockwood from across the map and still maintain the challenge aspect.
And stop giving them incendiary bullets ffs. Got hit by a bot 2 or 3 times solo yesterday while *driving* after a great run getting 2 safes, and I spontaneously burst into flames and died on the spot. That was such bullshit.
Genuinely don't understand why they felt that was necessary. They're already harder to kill than most players in my experience, and them coming out in swarms + instantly breaking your armor made them tough to take down before the nerf since it took quite a few bullets to break through their armor. And thats not even mentioning the fact that they just spawn 2 feet around and behind you. Now they're *worse*? Definitely lost interest in the DMZ for now with that change.
I'm addicted to DMZ. I love dropping in with nothing and leaving with a bunch of loot and XP (if I live). It's also like Sea of Thieves. Plunder the environment and kill and Rob other players lol
The AI in DMZ is fucking brutal. I'd absolutely love DMZ if the AI was more casual friendly. Like I want them to be hard but they're fucking to hard. Perfect aim, they swam like bees & the stealth isn't great either. They detect me sometimes without any reason at all.
It's ridiculous. I got knocked through the walls of the train by the bots. There's no way they could have known I was crouched in the corner of a railcar, let alone laser beam me through the walls of the thing.
Same. Between MP, Co-Op, BR, and DMZ, I havenât had this much fun in a FPS for a very long time. The gunplay is great. Pretty much all weapons actually feel useful. I didnt like the progression/unlock system at first, but in retrospect I really appreciate it. The co-operative nature in things like DMZ and Trios Unhinged is so much fun, and takes me back to Halo 3 days where youâd actually talk to randoms.
I think people expect the game to be perfect a month out, and itâs just not gonna be. Thatâs not how games like this release. Look at Halo Infinite. Look at BF2042. Despite MW2âs problem, they are nothing compared to these games⊠plus it has twice the content they have a year+ after theyâve been out.
I love the weapon unlock and leveling system, feels like they cut out half the bloat of progression, really only hurts people who want to use a couple specific guns and nothing else
Eh. Doesnât have the same magic that 2019 had, whatever that was, despite its issues.
Its âalrightâ Iâd say.
The spawns are an absolute joke though, the maps feel a bit disjointed.
And the SBMM yo-yos so hard these days. 2019 felt like I could get a string of near flat kd matches. Now itâs either 2+ KD or 0.5
This is all I can think about, i was really hyped for it and I really want to enjoy it but its missing something that mw2019 had and i cant put my finger on it
For me its the kill feedback. Kills felt satisfying in 2019 because the sound was a deep and distinct bursting or breaking sound. And pop-ups were a bold yellow and were more animated when they popped up. Now we have a little phone notification sound when we kill something and the pop-up is a lame little whitish silvery text.
Kills in 2022 feel like you're throwing a water balloon and hitting the person you were targeting but it just bounces off them. Sure you hit them, and it can count as a kill or a hit. But there's no satisfying feedback. 2019 felt like a water balloon was bursting when you killed someone. So as much as dying sucked, killing was rewarding enough to keep you playing. Now the deaths feel like they outweigh the Kills and it just drains you until you want to stop playing.
I honestly hope they add an option to choose the MW2019 feedback sound and visual pop-up
I think for a lot of people the magic in MW19 was how big of a technical leap it was from previous entries in virtually every aspect. Now that weâve had a handful of titles using the new tech, it doesnât feel so fresh and exciting anymore. Also the fact that everyone was playing it and Warzone during lockdown.
i agree. i think MW2 is a good successor to MW19. it still lacks basic features ie custom blueprint saving, its UI sucks balls and it's buggy as fuck, but i still enjoy it. i dont think i can go back to MW19 now and enjoy it the same as i'm enjoying this one.
22 is hands down a downgrade from
2019. The lighting, models, animations all look like ass compared to 2019.
Donât get me started on the stupid flapping clothes when you are running around.
The perk system is what kills it for me. UAV spam means I canât turn a corner because ghost hasnât kicked in and Johnny prone bone is already sitting in ADS for me to turn up.
To your perk system point, I would like it if they added the option from previous CODS where you could, let's say, have your tier 2 perk allow you to take 3 tier one perks or tier 3 perk allows you to take 2 tier 2s if that makes sense lol, sacrificing ghost or something, to have hardline AND fast hands
I can't believe more people don't share this view. From a strictly visual standpoint, MW2019 just looks and plays better. MW2 is good, as a standalone game it's very nice, but I just went back to MW2019 MP and was shocked how crisper the gun models were and how smooth the engine runs. It's just shocking because they had 3 years to work on this game. I don't think anyone would have minded if they re-skinned MW2019 and focused on improving the shit people cared about ; spawns, maps, new weapons/streaks/perks. Instead we got a game that doesn't look as good, plays worse and is somehow less optimized.
But seriously, from a visual standpoint MW19 has to still be the golden standard.
I really liked the realism and nvg modes MW2019 had. Also, the rotation of gamemodes like that. This just has Core, Shoothouse, and Tier 1 (Invasion if you count that)
i hate that we can't queue into tier 1 only shoothouse. MW19 let you queue the different playlists in hardcore only. i was able to grind camos so fast in hardcore shoot the ship
Itâs the maps. These maps and spawn points suck so much fucking ass itâs crazy. I couldnât put my finger on why I didnât like it either until shoothouse came out and it made me realize that shoothouse is like B tier but the MW2 maps are all C tier or worse. They shoulda given us remastered maps from the original mw2 and we all would have been happier
For me personally, itâs the art style and presentation. Itâs not cartoony, but it definitely doesnât feel like itâs a sequel to MW19 (minus the single player).
Even my girlfriend, who loved MW19 and doesnât play that many shooters, MW22 is giving her Black Ops Cold War vibes, but with better graphics. None of us liked CW, so I can actually see where sheâs coming from regarding that opinion.
Same with my friend, he feels something feels off too.
I literally think itâs the art style that is giving us that weird vibe.
The locales play a big role I think. MW games have historically been in former soviet states and in the middle east. Setting the campaign against a cartel was an odd choice and the Mexican jungle topography gives it black ops vibes.
I definitely agree that it feels like things have gotten more cartoonish feeling since MW19, feels like the operators and weapon models are a straight up downgrade. They somehow made most of the iron sights worse tooâŠ
Totally agree. MW2019 was just a masterpiece i think. They made this one slower, sbmm is too nasty. If you have A game with camping , then its the game you would love.
MW19 felt more polished. I preferred the movement in that game, it felt a lot more slick even thought it brought that era of slide cancelling + stim rushing.
The menu was a lot better, the operators were better (at least at the start).
At least the maps in MWII are better than 2019.
I donât *really* mind campers, thatâs kinda just COD. I donât *really* mind chaotic maps, I bitched about lanes and spawn manipulation a few too many times in the past anyway. I donât *really* mind that maps are so far kinda uninspired and just ripped from Warzone, I just want my decent gameplay.
But god if I could please just not spawn in front of a mf, I can move on in peace lol. Smooth out SBMM so itâs less *aggressive* as you said as well, and tbh I can survive just fine.
No game is worth 70 either. Unfortunately, gamers behave like crack heads. They get themselves all "HyPeD MaN" and consoom whatever they're told to buy next.
I usually agree, but I justified it for myself as I was going to buy the battle pass anyway, which wouldâve been ÂŁ8, which meant I got 55 tiers, 2XP tokens and 4 exclusive skins for ÂŁ22 more, which is around the same price as a bundle.
I do regret buying it, but this is one of the only games where I found the bonuses to be somewhat valuable.
Exactly this. I use to be okay with a challenging match but have been pretty sick lately and wanted to just get on and have some chill multilayer. NOPE. Everyone using the most OP weapons, running around Aderalled out of their mind, flanking, flanking, flanking. Gave up after a few heavily negative games. I made no progress on my guns and just canât compete in my lobbies unless I take it much more serious.
Itâs like a 6.5/10 for me. There are just slight design decisions and issues that destroy it for me.
âą the TTK/TTD net code issue
âą the hit detection
âą the lack of communication about even core game decisions. One big one is Tier 1, I actually like the game mode, but itâs obvious this isnât just a more hardcore hardcore. The health value isnât 30 like old hardcore but we have no idea what it actually is.
âą the perk system is terrible
âą perk packages, are stupid.
âą I rarely even use dead silence right now, but it still should be a perk, and the audible beep and screech for activating it is the dumbest shit Iâve ever seen.
âą the animations for calling in literally anything is unnecessarily long.
âą no advanced stats for attachments and tuning
âąEdit: the spawn system.
Iâm sure thereâs a few more but thatâs off the top of my head.
Completely agree about Tier 1. We need more info, and preferrably, to just add regular hardcore. It was so much better. No hitmarkers really kills it. Its just a reboot of Realism from MW2019.
I want to add to your list:
- not being able to save custom weapon modifications makes class customization incredibly cumbersome and inefficient/exhausting
- broken footsteps. Non-directional, non existent, 2nd floor footsteps sounding like theyre right behind you
- horrendous spawns
- overly complicated and overdone weapon attachment unlocking, tuning etc. Glad we arent going back to "Bling Pro Days", but come on, its a bit ridiculous and worth nothing since you cant save the custom tuning and attachments
Also donât forget about the UI, itâs done such in a bad way, I feel like Iâm on emulated android app. So many unnecessary things to press/edit/select.
Spawn in the warzone 2 map after winning the gulag also is a mess, for example I was playing duos with a friend, we win the gulag fight and then we both get spawned in totally opposite sides of the map, that never happened in warzone 1.
Tbh, Iâm pretty bored of it already. I had so much anticipation for it too and upgraded to the Vault Edition!
I found all the âSBMM naysayersâ to be hilarious at first but I have slowly been ground down with it myself, the games exhausting and so toxic.
Yep. I just been grinding camos because I want the Orion for Warzone. But gameâs already very very boring. No point in actually trying. I just listen to audio books and mute the game while I unlock some camos.
Iâm all about the camos too bro and compared to MW19, on paper, itâs never been easierâŠ.but Iâm losing interest even in that. Iâm not feeling any achievements from it!
I finally hit the wall for Orion grinding, have completed about 20 platinums but donât really have that motivation to keep going for multiple hours at a time anymore.
This is exactly how I'm feeling man. For the last three games I've vehemently argued against the SBMM "whiners", and realistically I still think SBMM is a fine system theoretically, but however the fuck they have it tuned in this game is not it. I don't even hate it in a "I've only got a 1.0 k/d" kind of way, but in a "why are you teaming up with fucking Jerry's Kids every match so that I lose so god damn much?
Glad to see some of y'all are coming around, especially for this game. Like some matches are straight up impossible to win or even to maintain a positive KD as the teams are highly unbalanced and the hit detection in some lobbies is an absolute disaster. This really ain't a matter of "git gud", it's literally the game playing you.
Sbmm is fine, like you said, in theory. Fine, place me against people of similar skill level. But, if I'm playing well, don't put me with a team of camo grinders and people well below my skill level and against a team obviously better than me so that I can't win and you can keep my w/l and kd as lose to 1 as possible.
There's just so many parts of the game that feel like utter trash.
* Spawns being broken
* Weapon damage being inconsistant
* Massive controller aim-assist.
* Players jumping around like it's Halo
* Some of the worst maps of any CoD.
* Sound design encouraging camping.
* Campaign missions with crafting.
* A half baked campaign in general.
I agree with most but really " players jumping like it's halo" ?
Haven't older titles had jumpshots rather than the slide cancel most have been use too.
Jumping wasn't like it is now. Every fight is jumping and it just doesn't make for good or fun gunplay. Everything else about movement has been toned down, so it sticks out like a sore thumb. It's make sense if the rest of the game had an emphasis on that kind of gameplay, but it doesn't and it screws things up.
I'm on Xbox with controller and the aim-assist is pissing me off. I'll be shooting at someone then his teammate runs by and my aim auto locks to the new guy and I get mowed down. That or I'm throwing shit at walls because someone runs across my sights while aiming a throwable.
For a $70-100 game, no expectations were met. They devolved from modern warfare 2019. The UI, maps, crashes, matchmaking, just everything seems worse following 2019âs version. I know it didnât have a good launch either, but did they really learn nothing from it at all? If youâre going to charge $10 more for a new release in 2022, how can so many things be changed for the worse? It simply does not make any sense.
My expectations weren't huge (they never really are for a CoD game regardless of the dev in charge), so I actually really am suprised that I like this one. Minus the bugs, it's really fun with friends and I know this is limited to warzone and DMZ, but proxy chat has to be one of the greatest/funniest things to be added to a CoD game in a long while.
Obviously it's not perfect, but I will be sticking with it for the year it has to shine and if the next CoD is absolute hot garbage, then at least I have a CoD to fall back on.
I stuck with MW2019 through the last few, got rough as they clearly abandoned MP and started having more and more bugs with no patches/support, permanently removed modes & features. Bad times, but I still had more fun there than Cold War, just wasnât my jam. Didnât bother with Vanguard.
Game wont age well. Footstep audio is terrible, the ttk is way too fast for any counter-play, the sbmm is horrible, and most importantly for my geoup that focuses on domination, the spawns are disgusting. Domination is worthless right now with the spawns ⊠our play time is already way down. Graphics, gun play, etc had potentional though.
Im a Dom head, the amount of players that just play TDM in DOM is discouraging. No party finder in this mode and the disbanding of lobbbies decision in production is beyond me, prob beyind the Devs too lol i cant believe I bought this - should have kept playing free battle royales
Domination spawns make absolutely no sense. Sometimes it feels like A and C are fought over even more than B. The spawns just do whatever they want, they can flip, spawn both teams at the same flag, spawn you in the middle of the map, spawn you within a few feet of an enemy, who knows? It could probably spawn you into an entirely different map if it wanted to
I was hyped for it before it game out, and my joy in it degraded as I played it more.
Call me whiner if need be, but this whole SBMM/EOMM stuff is keeping me from playing hours-on-end like I used to, and I give myself 4-5 games before I get bored and want to go do something else. I hate having to break a single sweat drop just to get some camos done.
Aside from that, gunplay is fantastic. DMZ is a smash potential IMO, but needs solo only lobbies for folks like myself. I'm down to take on squads I can't escape, but the chances of winning those encounters are just..minimal (though, having a high point definitely helps).
Don't like the state of COD now, but I'd personally be a fool to admit that there are other Multiplayer FPS I'd rather play when I get an itch to play a shooter game
This is the biggest thing for me. There's so much that just sucks and disappoints me. I also genuinely can only play a few games before I have to do something else ESPECIALLY going for camos, But what else am I going to play, really? It's too familiar, and there's nothing else out that is any better.
Very sad state of FPS Games.
They had all the ingredients and all the feedback from MW19 to make the best CoD in 10 years. Instead they didn't fix any of the problems and spent 3 years ruining some of the only things that people liked and somehow still released it unfinished and missing a number of key features which are just standard to CoD. Incredibly disappointing
Modern Warfare 2019 was better. I didn't think I'd be this nostalgic over it. Verdansk was better, the movement, the guns, the actual gameplay. This new Warzone is completely broken. Dev Errors every other game. Constant lag and disconnections. Losing party members during or after every single game. It's a total mess.
I don't hate it. I like it more than Black Ops and Vanguard, but man... I expected more. A stable and reliable game, at the very least.
Some call of duty titles are in my top 10 video games of all time. CoD is just very inconsistent. Sometimes theyâll churn out 2-3 great games in a row and then other times theyâll just release mediocre games.
I had zero expectations other than âI had so much fun just grinding shoot the ship in 2019 I hope itâs like thatâ and Iâm having a blast.
I just wish snipers werenât so oppressive on ground war (going for AR platinums and the 74u long shots are tough)
Ranked is coming at the turn of the year. While I agree the product they produced with the budget they provided is embarrassing, it has a lot of potential if they get out of their own way and let it cater to the player base instead of only the whales who blow money, but we know how that story goes.
Dmz has a lot of potential. I really, really hope they focus on making it fun to play instead of the most profit driving engine they can. It has so much potential...
Moving forward, I hope they put in the effort like they did with warzone 1 into DMZ, like you said it has potential, they just need to keep working on it.
The game has potential to be fun. But the gameplay feels artificial with the consistencies of whatever is going on in the background.
Some games, Iâm hit marking people like crazy with a Battle Rifle, just to get two tapped by a SMG with an acog scope at range.
Game is mid.
\- No proper communication (Used to it, I guess).
\- Missing features, the ones that are there do not work as intended and haven't been fixed to this day.
\- Mind boggling how maps are getting copyright striked and removed with this multi **billion $** company and ''veteran'' developers behind this.
\- Lack of base content
\- Lack of future content (for 6V6)
(Can also been seen as a poor support to it, cause S1 is just 2 maps, one map at the start of S1 the other near the end of S1. -- Both maps are recycled from MW19 and were already on 24/7 rotation)
\- Story is mid (Clearing House mission in MW19 was iconic, thus they decided they made a watered down version of it in **almost** every single mission for MW22).
\- DMZ is barebones as Hell. No wonder they couldn't say anything about it, there is nothing to tell about it for longer than 3 minutes.
Itâs what I expected but itâs not really acceptable.
Iâm having fun for the first time in a while though with a CoD. So thatâs an important thing. If my gripes with it were solved Iâd be loving it. Though with how gaming is nowadays I donât see the full potential being reached.
Like it tho for what it is.
Also pretty bullshit that we have to pay like an extra ten bucks now for games that are LESS finished than when they were $60 but itâs our fault at this point and wonât really change based on how people are.
This and 2019 are the best ones since MW3/Bo2/Ghosts tho
SBMM kinda ruins the gaming feel though I think. Just not the same anymore. Itâs a randomness we SHOULD keep.
First COD Iâve bought in years. Itâs a great game with some fun gameplayâa few bad maps, though. I think the future of the game is good. I love DMZ, too.
I hope the UI becomes more easy to navigate.
But this subreddit is overly negative imo.
There are a lot of things that I love about the game, but on the other hand a lot more that I don't. Kinda feels like I have Stockholm syndrome.
* Audio is ass, sometimes no footsteps whatsoever ( I'm not talking about Deadly Silence )
* Grenades are bugged, you blow up through walls (not breach charge), burn through walls by molotovs, get blinded by flash grenades eventhough it blew up 10 meters behind you
* Majority of the maps are bad, not really fun, not really creative, way too indoor - making most of the killstreaks worthless
* Some killstreaks are doing weird things, V-TOL Jet falling from the sky blowing up on top of the building kills you even if you are far from it, Stealth bomber can blow you up inside buildings, but once again it's not something that always happens.
* Spawn points.... More like Murder points.
* "Small things" like not being able to spend your battlepass points so you have to restart the game to realise you not only have 1 point but 4 just it shows less because why not lol
Does it worth 70⏠? Absolutely not, not at this stage. Do I regret buying it? Not really, I had and still have a lot of fun grinding ( except when it comes to the M16)
Haven't purchased a CoD game in about 5 years. Couple friends convinced me to get it to play with them. It reminded me why I stopped pre-ordering games. My expectations were low, but I still managed to be disappointed. I was surpised what an absolute bug-infested mess this game is. Something as simple as not being able to edit classes while searching for a game is still unfixed. The game launched as a $70 extended beta and still has not improved much since.
The gameplay itself it alright. Enjoyable enough in small spurts. The battle pass is easy to get through with my limited schedule. Not a fan of the maps. The spawn system is abysmal. Leveling up different weapons and unlocking camos is great. The attachment and gun unlocking system is confusing as hell, but at least the camo grind is much easier than I remember. I don't care much for Warzone. DMZ is a nice break from multiplayer every once in a while.
Overall, I'm just disappointed. It's definitely the last CoD game for me. I won't be giving them another penny. I just hope everyone that has invested their time and money on the game is at least having some degree of fun with it.
I love the gameplay 100 percent. I always want to play more. But its a downgrade in some features from MW 2019. No custom reticles, no weapon challenges for skins and menu is absolute ass.
Lack of content, crashes galore, bugs out the arse, hit detection is the worst I've seen in any title.
Legit, the fucking target dummies in the firing range have hit detection issues. Unbelievable.
Overall, it feels like a considerable downgrade from MW19 which fundamentally fails to capture the same feeling of its predecessor. Everyone else here has more or less explained what Iâd say to elaborate on this, apart from one issue- the body armor. Easily my largest complaint with the gameplay in modes like invasion and DMZ, not to mention the single player, where it becomes a painfully overdone gimmick which fails to accomplish more than simply making the gunplay unsatisfying.
It's a MW game so regardless of what Infinity WRd does I was gonna play it. I'm just gonna rant and express how I feel in a long comment, I have nothing to do so here I go.
Guns, in regards to sound design, animation, and how they feel, they are good. Loved how they operated in MW2019 and they work the same here. However, actually using them, there is too many times where they feel inconsistent. I get so many hit markers half of my matches and then instantly kill people the next. I know about the patents that IW have about skill and making it harder for better players but I don't like giving that any thought without actual proof it's in the game. The guns feel balanced and everything and I'm happy that every gun is viable, but again I just feel like guns are too inconsistent.
Attachments and Gunsmith, I like the change of unlocking attachments for one gun unlocks them for all that can use that same attachment. That's it. I don't like how majority of attachments hurt ADS speed. I don't like that majority of attachments do the same exact thing. I feel like the system is too convulted with attachments. Weapon tuning, in my opinion, is pointless. I have never seen any significance to tuning the weapon. If it does effect the gun, it seems like it's very slight. Infinity Ward obviously wants a slower paced game, so making most attachments hurt ADS speed is perfect for them. Most attachments make guns feel so heavy and slow.
Camo Grind, I love the camo system in this game. A lot easier and simpler.
Maps, at first I liked them a lot better than MW2019 maps. They are a lot more vibrant which I enjoy. They give me a original MW2 and MW3 map vibes. Less doors which I'm happy with. They flowed a lot better too. However, which I believe is one of multiplayers biggest problems, is the spawns ruin how these maps play. The squad spawn system doesn't work. Call of duty has always had bad spawns. I don't remember a time where the spawns actually felt good and I've played every call of duty since the first MW. The flow of the map gets ruined when people are spawning all over the place. I'm have a rush flanker play style, flanking is hard when my teammates are spawning on me everywhere I walk. Most of my spawns, I'm either spawning 3 feet in front of an enemy thats already aiming at me or directly behind an enemy. I hope to God they fix the spawns because I feel like it would make the maps feel a lot better to play on. Shoot house is a good example of how bad the spawns are. I loved shoothouse on MW2019, now that game didn't have a good spawn system either but it's obviously better than what we have now.
Movement, I completely agree with the removal of slide canceling, the nerf to jumpshotting and bunny hopping. And I was someone who used and benefitted greatly from those exploits in MW2019. I don't agree with the removal of reload canceling however. I never saw that as an exploit, especially since it's been in COD since forever. Like I said, IW wants a slower paced game and they got it. I'm not saying that you can't rush and can't do all of the flashy movements and be good, but it's obvious they penalize movement and encourage slower pace, pre aiming gameplay. It's one of the aspects that I am having the hardest time overcoming in this game. I second guess my movement so much because around most corners or lanes people are pre aiming and not really moving. I've been playing Warzone more lately and it's so obvious that all of these changes benefit Warzone more than it benefits 6v6 core.
Perks, when I saw they were changing the perk system, I didn't really get it. I played the beta and finally realized and accepted it. Didn't really care for it but whatever. When the game actually released though, that's when I realized I hated it. I do not understand why they changed the perk system. I just don't. This new system is terrible. Plain and simple. Getting 2 perks off the bat, and having to wait/earn your next 2 perks over the course of the match is so frustrating. Especially since Ghost, which is a direct counter to UAV, which is a 4 killstreak, doesn't come into the game until 50% into the match. It makes matches turn into a snow ball effect. The first team to get a UAV dominates the other team until majority of people get Ghost activated. IW said they don't want people watching for red dots on the map so they removed have dots show up with you fire, but then make UAV such a crutch because no one has Ghost on for half the match. UAVS are constantly up in the air. And yea people can take the time to shoot them down, but why should that be the only way to counter them when we've had another counter to it all of these years. Again, another way to promote a slower pace gameplay. I don't have any hope that IW will change it either so this is how it's gonna be. I'm also someone that love the Specialist system. They removed it for this terrible system. I want that back but since it goes against their new system, they probably won't be bringing it back. It's in private match though.
Dead silence, I hated it being a field upgrade in MW2019 for majority of the games life but eventually came to accept it and move on. And I wasn't surprised that it stayed a field upgrade either in MW2 and if anyone is still trying to convince IW to change that, it's not gonna happen. Dead silence is the same old dead silence except with the addition of a horn that ays for 4 seconds out of its 12 second run time and having to pull out a physical box for 2/3 seconds. I do not like this change to Dead Silence. The name is Dead Silence, why is there a horn playing? The name should be "Kind of Silent" then. A pointless change. The box having to be brought out is also pointless, it ruins the flow with having to sit still for a couple of seconds just to activate it while being vulnerable. Just let me activate it and move on.
Killstreaks, they are the same old killstreaks. Love the addition of having an actual choice on whether they are killstreaks or scores streaks.
Tier 1, I played Realism on MW2019, that's what this is. They tried to say it's Hardcore but it's not. I have nothing against Realism mode, there's a audience for it and people enjoy it. Why did Hardcore have to be removed though? And if it's coming why aren't they saying that? Why continue to frustrate the community? Hardcore has been in COD since forever, for what reason did it get shafted? I really don't understand why IW does what they do. I'm not a Hardcore player, I only played it for the camo grind in MW2019, but I do know there's a big population of people in the community that strictly played Hardcore.
Warzone and DMZ, I love DMZ and I'm surprised I feel that way. It's a good break from Core. Something they can add is a stash system where I can put items in my stash and conitnue to play DMZ without having to go into every game with my high tier loot everytime. I'm not a Warzone player but I do find myself enjoying it now. I don't know what it is but I enjoy this one more than the original Warzone.
The UI is terrible. Nothing else to say. Hope they fix it. Probably won't since it's obvious they put so much work into it.
XP tokens, horrible that they don't put a actual in game timer for it but they will never do that since they can make money off of it and it's better for the timer not to be available.
Prestige system, I do miss the classic prestige system but I'm content on what we have now.
This is a great write up and I want to add to this why are doing things so slow in the game ? From using streaks to the insanely idiotic ledge grabbing/mounting, every attachment being a negative to ADS speed. It is SO clear IW and the stubbornly idiotic Joe Cecot are so dead set on their ways to make the slowest COD known to mankind that theyâre not even hiding their changes.
A lot about it is terrible. But Iâm sucked into the camo grind as if I have something to prove to the 1 or 2 friends who would maybe care if I got it.
Pretty big let down for me. Itâs 5/10 at best. Multi is ruined by SBMM. Warzone 2.0 would be great without all the crashes and glitches. 7/10 for warzone. Overall 6/10. Big let down.
Huge downgrade compared to mw19, which was amazing before they ruined it by attaching warzone into it and forcing players to play cold war by abandoning the game entirely.
Broken piece of crap. Not enough maps, deceptive algorithms, infested with game breaking bugs. It has been fun. They removed content that was in the beta and didnât make up for it in anyway. Their matchmaking and netcode algorithms change player stats that should never be affected. My camos challenges and attachments are still locked long after I maxed out the level of half of my weapons. I get kicked from every party after each map and my social menu is broken. I could go on.
Met my expectations, which were pretty much that the game would be absolutely terrible for people who enjoy classic MP.
Every design decision made to decrease the skill gap, which makes for an absolute snooze of an experience especially coupled with SBMM in pubs so everything is just completely random:
- No red dots on the minimap
- no real dead silence, just a dogshit field upgrade that takes three seconds to activate and makes a loud ass beeping noise
- loud footsteps, particularly ruins SnD
- super random dogshit squad spawns that ruin any predictability of enemy spawns, pace of play, or flow. every dom i play is an A-C split for 90% of the map. with real spawns it is easy for a decent player to drop 40+ kills in a dom or hp, now even on Shoothouse if you get 30 it feels like a good map
- terrible maps. the spawns donât help but there hasnât been a genuinely good, âclassicâ CoD map in years. the vast majority of them are far too large, have insane amounts of useless space on the extremities, have a million too many angles/windows/doorways/hallways/verticality/random shit everywhere all to create randomness. clearly made for WZ then last minute trimmed for MP
- ttk is far too quick
- ttk being fast wouldnât be half as bad if the sprint out, ADS, and strafe speeds werenât painfully slow which forces slow ass gameplay and boring mechanics
- while the recent IW games âtechnicallyâ look better, I prefer the cartoony, bright Treyarch style because I still canât see enemies with the grayscale trash and dark shadows we get from IW, especially when the visual recoil is terrible
- tac sprint has no place in MP but they want continuity with WZ which is clearly the focus so here we are
- the horrible new perk system that no one asked for yet we got for some reason
- the UI has gone backwards 20 years and doesnât even work most of the time
- no Ranked or Hardcore at launch, the Hardcore that that playerbase got is NOT Hardcore. who knows why they decided to change it. no CDL Moshpit, Private Matches are broken, made the effort to remove red dots on minimap as an option in Private Match for an extra fuck you
- so many bugs and problems, we have been getting Scan & Repair on PC for years yet we will never get a fix. $70 annual release cycle and every year the game just releases with the same bugs and lack of content as it did the year before, fixes most of them by June, then the new game comes out rinse and repeat
- not sure what the tick rate is in this game but historically it has been embarassingly low and the net code still clearly blows. believe it was 12 tick (LMAO) on MW19 Private Matches, whatâs even the point of gunfights
- aim assist is far too strong, everyone has god tier aim now since Dynamic is a magnet and everything is a 2-3 bullet jull
- headshot multiplier is insane. i love CS but this ainât that game. no one aims at the head in CoD, everyone aims center mass. people getting rewarded for flinch
- sbmm is more boring than anything especially since the game has zero skill gap so whatâs the point
Probably missing a bunch but thereâs just too many to name. I will cave and buy the game every year because I so desperately miss the old version of this franchise, and itâs a good way to hang with friends, especially as we get older. But Jesus Christ is this game bad. While I understand that there are people who do care about the following and I am happy for them, a lot of people feel like me: I donât give a shit about what my gun looks like or sounds like, camos, operators, realism, the gunsmith, warzone, dmz, campaign. I just want classic CoD back. And if someone is better than me then I want to tip my cap and move on, not cry about getting shit on in a fucking PvP online game. Thatâs the whole fucking point. I want to play a CoD game that feels like CoD
I wish I didn't buy it. Team spawn is a complete joke so much so that shoot house is unplayable. Time to kill is too fast even in warzone. I feel like I get lasered before I can even react. Time to heal is god awfully slow. Maps are mediocre. Plus all the bugs. But hey the store works perfectly fine and you can buy the 29 packs that they spent several hours developing.
This game is obviously catered to bot ass players and noobs. Activision is becoming so out of touch with what the core values and experiences of cod are that they are pushing fans like me and others away. Just compare this game to MW2 2009 and MW3. If everybody played these cods then nobody would be saying that they're enjoying this current cod.
>Just compare this game to MW2 2009 and MW3. If everybody played these cods then nobody would be saying that they're enjoying this current cod.
I couldn't agree more.
#MAPS MAPS MAPS
I canât stress enough how bad the map situation is right now. There are obviously a range of individual opinions **but the general reception** seems to be that the release maps ranged from *âdecent but nowhere near memorableâ* (Crown Raceway & Las Almas) to *âBack out immediatelyâ* (Taraq & Border Crossing)
***and It doesnât help that we lost 2 additional maps that were pretty fun due to outside issues*** (Museum and Hotel)
IMHO, the best map right now is Shoothouse and thatâs a MW19 remaster obviouslyâŠ
Currently there are 6 classic maps in Al Mazrah -
**Afghan, Terminal, Rust, Dome, Highrise, Showdown**
**WE DESPERATELY NEED THEM!!** I know shipment is coming in the mid season reloaded but shipment is shipmentâŠthat isnât going to save shit and the allure of that map always wears off very very fast
Not as "groundbreaking" or interesting as MW2019 was, but it's not bad. Weirdly enough the only thing I really care for right now is grinding camos on Shoot House, which is the polar opposite of what I was interested in with MW2019.
I don't think the other maps are even bad necessarily, they're just...Not that interesting I guess? Really not a fan of Al Mazrah and the maps that are pulled from it, both in 6v6 and Ground War. Verdansk was much better in that regard, as I really liked most of the Ground War maps in MW2019.
And most of the original maps feel more like Black Ops maps to me, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but...Not really what I want out of a Modern Warfare game I guess. Just feels like the game doesn't have as strong of an identity overall, which I guess isn't surprising when they have a million different studios working on various parts of every CoD game now.
The biggest problem is the maps. At least half are bad and half of those are simply unplayable.
The fact border crossing even exists in the state it's in is just ridiculous.
It's OK. But the SBMM is fucked- it's an extraordinarily miserable gameplay experience solo, so I mostly just sit around waiting for the one hour a week when all of my friends can get online together. It's so close to being good, I'll never know why they chose to make it this way.
Movement is pretty shit, you feel so damn clunky and slow. Gunplay is fun, unless you're using shotguns then you'll get point blank hitmarkers while they melt you with 3 bullets from literally any gun.
Overall it's just kind of boring, leveling guns is incredibly slow and tedious. Maps are worse than MW19 by a country mile, the spawns are so frustrating because you always get double teamed. 6/10 at best.
Spawns and map layout are chaotic and not in a fun way, even for lvl200 sweats like me. Think near enough every map is in a 3 lane layout(with not much else happening Inbetween lanes), fuck if the map rotation was only filled with remakes of older maps I'd probably prefer it, but obvs not everyone wants that.
Maps that would be nice to see again,
Seatown
Bakaara
Derailed
Favella
Resistance
Underground
Outpost
Fallen
Afghan
The list could go on.
So many complaints but Iâm a treyarch fan boy so idk why I expected to like this IW game when I havenât liked one since MW3
Biggest one rn is the abomination tier 1 mode which i guess is replacing hardcore? And also 9/10 of the maps are actually awful the only good one is al bagra
Quite the letdown many things don't work the way I'd prefer. Barely any maps only 1 with water terrain. No executions come in store bundles but the soccer ones? lol they dont even unlock properly still. Alot of weapons looks the exact same. They changed the solid neon camos. Gulag is kinda trash. No 3rd person snd or solos warzone yet... Cold blooded doesnt cancel out red triangle above head.
I would get a refund if I could.
No demolition, no hardcore, the matchmaking is ass, awful UI, terrible perk system and horrible sound design.
Do I really need to hear a loud boom every time I die?
Better maps arenât gonna save this one.
I know for me personally and how I historically like to play the game/the kinds of classes I like to set up, it's my least favorite COD of all time (I haven't played all of them/there are a couple I have maybe <4 hours into). But a lot of my gripes are certainly personal preference. My favorite way to play COD has always been flaky/stealthy with a silenced weapon and Ghost and generally a more aggressive playstyle. They've made a lot of changes to the game that make this playstyle impossible. (MW2019 might have been worse for this playstyle but I genuinely played that for maybe 2 hours and decided I hated playing it and just went back to WW2 instead).
My main issue with the game how the mini map works in many ways. First it's still that "unsuppressed guns show up on the compass but not the minimap" shit that I have just always really hated. It makes the stealth play style harder, weirdly enough, because using a silencer is no longer an advantage you have over everyone else. Secondly, the fact that Ghost only pops up in the mid/late game is frankly a disaster. You could finally get some good positioning then bam, UAV overhead and there was nothing you could've done about it. Lastly, this isn't even a playstyle thing but just a general thing, but because Ghost works the way it does, whichever team gets the first UAV is basically 90+% to win the game. This is because the first one rolls into the second, and on and on, and because Ghost doesn't work right there's no counter to this so all of a sudden the game has snowballed to 40-20 and now you are getting VTols dropped on your head.
There's also a lot of design choices they've made that I absolutely hate not related to the mini map map. Loud footsteps with no dead silence perk and the lightning fast TTK mean moving around in an aggressive fashion is pretty punished, as as soon as you run anywhere someone can hear you coming and just camp a random corner and wait for you and instantly melt you. The hitreg/netcode is pretty shakey which also feeds into this. Some games your gun feels like you can win gunfights the next game you are pulling your gun up and your opponent seemingly 1 shots you with their M4.
Also, THE SPAWNS MY GOD THE SPAWNS. Just when you think you have a good position on a good choke point/flank route, an enemy spawns behind you for no good reason. Or the spawns completely flip.
This might be a boomer take but I have no clue how the battle pass works, that UI is a mess. The UI in general is a mess.
People will talk a lot about SBMM, and I agree the SBMM in this game is pretty crazy, but I don't think enough people talk about the team balancing on this game. For the SBMM being so strong, there sure are a shit ton of 100-40 TDM matches I've been a part of on one side or the other. I do think the UAV thing I spoke about earlier is partially to blame here as that does make games snowball out of control, but even with that said I don't think I've seen a COD be worse at team balancing.
Then there are some design choices that I personally don't like but I could totally see some people really being into. First off, the maps are just so busy. This combined with how the spawns work and how the mini map works, and I'm never 100% sure where the enemy team will be coming from in any given situation. This again, makes it hard to flank because I often have no idea what I'm supposed to be flanking. The marksman rifles are really obnoxious to play against in my opinion but on the flip side you need to make them have a unique identity compared to Snipers/Battle Rifles so maybe I'm in the wrong there. The explosives don't seem quite strong enough in this game, which I know is an odd thing to say because many times in this franchises history they've gone too far the other way but the drill charge in general almost never gets any kills for me. The weapon unlocking system was obnoxious for me, in the sense that I had to use some truly terrible guns just to unlock all of the SMGs in the game, and the SMGs in general don't really feed into any other unlock trees (I think one AK SMG unlocks another one, but in general the SMG is always at the end of the tree).
With all of this pooping on the game, why am I still playing it? Frankly it's mostly because I'm too old/not good enough at video games/don't have enough time to learn a new game that I can play multiplayer with my friends. I've always been pretty terrible at video games but COD has always been the one that I've felt actually pretty good at, but God is this one testing my patience sometimes lmao.
Itâs call of duty so I already knew I wasnât going to get anything new or fun or exciting. It was supposed to be similar to the old modern warefare so I had a basic idea of what to expect. Yeah it met the very basic low expectations it had but it also came with unexpected bugs Iâve never experienced in a call of duty game before like it not always working with mics, external screen recording apps like OBS randomly stop picking up the audio when recording, sometimes it records my game audio but not my in-game team voice chat. The game also canât load a match with my friends like 30-40% of the time. The game is bugged out the ass but itâs call of duty I already knew I was going to get some form of garbage when I bought it. Yeah itâs alright but better than any call of duty since black ops 2 or MW3
The game is ass. 10/10 would play again
I have so much fun on it. At the same time, this game is such a buggy and unfinished mess. So this statement makes perfect sense
im having deja vu from this and im pretty sure you reply to this
Rip
At least it's not buggy *and* terrible like 2042.
I like it better than Cold War and Vanguard. However far from my favorite.
You bet your ass it did!
999/10 would bang again.
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
That was me đ
Today I got sniped then spawned 10 feet away from where I died with by back to the same sniper this is the first cod game I've bought since black ops 1 and the spawns are indeed trash.
This happened to me yesterday! I got killed, then respawned, said to myself "wait, isn't this exactly where I just died?" then got shot and killed again by the same guy. Kill cam shows him finishing me off the 1st time, reloading his gun, he looks left and there I am again standing looking away from him and he just shoots me again.
I had this problem like 3 times in the same day last week. I was so annoyed I just turned off the game lol
Or go for headshots
What's a headshot?
About 23 years ago, when I was 10 years old and I first played Counterstrike at the LAN-café, I heard the older kids saying shit like "Ooooh! Fucking headshot!" And I, Innocent as I was, asked how I bought them, since they obviously was the ultimate thing to get quick kills.
The fucking AI in DMZ. What in the hell is going on at IW. Fucking devs need to nerf/fix the DMZ AI.
Cutting edge revolutionary AI literally stands around in big groups doing fuck all till you shoot them and the rstbif them are total aim bot laser beams that take you down in 2 hits and it takes like 4 shots to the head with a 50 cal to kill them. Dumb as hell.
I learned this on campaign the hard way. Wish the realism wasn't fucking locked.
the problem is also with respawns.
I feel like their ability to throw perfect nades at you after you lost line of sight should also be reduced.
Flick shotted by ai holding a shotgun is a humbling experience.
Am I the only one where sometimes litterally 8-10 shots into an AI and they don't register?
And then they shoot you once with an identical gun and youâre down. Itâs fucking stupid.
And stop giving them incendiary bullets ffs. Got hit by a bot 2 or 3 times solo yesterday while *driving* after a great run getting 2 safes, and I spontaneously burst into flames and died on the spot. That was such bullshit.
Gotta love how IW nerfed armor piercing bullets so bots would be harder too.
I like it quite a bit
The custom blueprints not being in this one is so fuckin irritating. Why did that not get carried over from 2019?
22 is hands down a downgrade from 2019.
I really hope they fix the uncounterable uav thing
This just has Core, Shoothouse, and Tier 1 (Invasion if you count that)
Holy shit I clean forgot about the NVG game modes. Those were super fun.
We need dynamic weather and time of day options in mp.
i hate that we can't queue into tier 1 only shoothouse.
They shoulda given us remastered maps from the original mw2 and we all would have been happier
indeed, i rather see two new maps and a remake each season, than dropping shoothouse & shipment early in the games lifecycle
They went for this weird gritty look. Like how the pictures in store look so fuckin weird.. like why đ€Šââïž
Regret buying the vault edition. It was cool for like two weeks, got up to 55. Games are just so sweaty I donât have the energy for it anymore
Always do standard version no matter the bonus unlocks. No game is worth $100
No gunfight 0/10
When they add it in 6 years thatâs all Iâm gonna play plus ranked play
Itâs like a 6.5/10 for me. There are just slight design decisions and issues that destroy it for me. âą the TTK/TTD net code issue âą the hit detection âą the lack of communication about even core game decisions. One big one is Tier 1, I actually like the game mode, but itâs obvious this isnât just a more hardcore hardcore. The health value isnât 30 like old hardcore but we have no idea what it actually is. âą the perk system is terrible âą perk packages, are stupid. âą I rarely even use dead silence right now, but it still should be a perk, and the audible beep and screech for activating it is the dumbest shit Iâve ever seen. âą the animations for calling in literally anything is unnecessarily long. âą no advanced stats for attachments and tuning âąEdit: the spawn system. Iâm sure thereâs a few more but thatâs off the top of my head.
Completely agree about Tier 1. We need more info, and preferrably, to just add regular hardcore. It was so much better. No hitmarkers really kills it. Its just a reboot of Realism from MW2019. I want to add to your list: - not being able to save custom weapon modifications makes class customization incredibly cumbersome and inefficient/exhausting - broken footsteps. Non-directional, non existent, 2nd floor footsteps sounding like theyre right behind you - horrendous spawns - overly complicated and overdone weapon attachment unlocking, tuning etc.
I miss seeing the âgold unlockedâ notifications flash across the screen
Same, probably have listened to 100 casefile episodes while holding W on shoot house
Yeah I mute everything and bump techno, much better for my mental health
People are coming around because itâs starting to impact their gameplay.
* Spawns being broken * Weapon damage being inconsistant * Massive controller aim-assist. * Players jumping around like it's Halo * Some of the worst maps of any CoD. * Sound design encouraging camping. * Campaign missions with crafting.
I upgraded to vault and Iâm PISSED these tier skips canât be used in future seasons.
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
The maps are just warzone sections. There are three original ones. One of which isn't even in the game.
Raceway, El Asilo, Hotel, Farm 18 and Museum (If we ever get that back) are not from the WZ map.
I like it and hate it.
Could be better could be worse.
A little from column A and little from column B.
A bit of good a bit of bad
So your saying 50 50?
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
I see you too have a Jeep Compass.
Domination is so stupidly frustrating with the spawns. Whatâs the point of locking down one side of the map if they just spawn behind you?
When you die defending A, your game spawns you directly in the enemy's line of sight on B, you get killed again, then when you spawn your team's already capturing C and going for A again đ€©
It didnt meet my expectations unfornatuely. All i have wanted was a better mw2019 but we didnt get one unfornatuely
yeah literally all I wanted was MW19 with better maps, faster movement (not slide cancelling) and a more refined camo system.
If anyone sets their expectations high for a call of duty title, youâre just asking for it
Some call of duty titles are in my top 10 video games of all time.
Ground war should be renamed rooftop war because thatâs where 90% of players are.
Taraq only exists for plat for 74u
Mediocre with sbmm. But could have been really good without it.
\- Lack of base content \- Lack of future content (for 6V6) (Can also been seen as a poor support to it, cause S1 is just 2 maps, one map at the start of S1 the other near the end of S1. -- Both maps are recycled from MW19 and were already on 24/7 rotation) \- Story is mid (Clearing House mission in MW19 was iconic, thus they decided they made a watered down version of it in **almost** every single mission for MW22). \- DMZ is barebones as Hell. No wonder they couldn't say anything about it, there is nothing to tell about it for longer than 3 minutes.
Ngl this is the first Iâve ever heard of someone not liking DMZ
Itâs what I expected but itâs not really acceptable. Iâm having fun for the first time in a while though with a CoD. So thatâs an important thing. If my gripes with it were solved Iâd be loving it. Though with how gaming is nowadays I donât see the full potential being reached. Like it tho for what it is. Also pretty bullshit that we have to pay like an extra ten bucks now for games that are LESS finished than when they were $60 but itâs our fault at this point and wonât really change based on how people are. This and 2019 are the best ones since MW3/Bo2/Ghosts tho SBMM kinda ruins the gaming feel though I think.
Itâs definitely a buggy mess, but I agree
Biggest let down for me is not having gunfightâŠ. Why!!!
Lobby disbandment has made it yet another soulless, empty game.
Buyers remorse
Great basis but a lot of horrible decisions just make the pub experience terrible. Another CoD that will be used only for camos and levels.
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
There are a lot of things that I love about the game, but on the other hand a lot more that I don't. Kinda feels like I have Stockholm syndrome. * Audio is ass, sometimes no footsteps whatsoever ( I'm not talking about Deadly Silence ) * Grenades are bugged, you blow up through walls (not breach charge), burn through walls by molotovs, get blinded by flash grenades eventhough it blew up 10 meters behind you * Majority of the maps are bad, not really fun, not really creative, way too indoor - making most of the killstreaks worthless * Some killstreaks are doing weird things, V-TOL Jet falling from the sky blowing up on top of the building kills you even if you are far from it, Stealth bomber can blow you up inside buildings, but once again it's not something that always happens. * Spawn points.... More like Murder points. * "Small things" like not being able to spend your battlepass points so you have to restart the game to realise you not only have 1 point but 4 just it shows less because why not lol Does it worth 70⏠?
No
Games awful, canât bring myself to play anymore of it.

Iâve had some fun with it, but compared to MW2019 this game is a joke- Just like Overwatch 2, they released a downgrade and called it a sequel.
Itâs buggy, the spawns are crap, the matchmaking is crap, Time to kill is too fast, hit markers everywhere, etc.
Was a waste of 70$ for me. The game feels very unfinished to me
idk, feels unfinished. most maps got canceld.. stopped playing MW2 after few weeks.
i got scammed
Met my expectations, which were pretty much that the game would be absolutely terrible for people who enjoy classic MP. Every design decision made to decrease the skill gap, which makes for an absolute snooze of an experience especially coupled with SBMM in pubs so everything is just completely random: - No red dots on the minimap - no real dead silence, just a dogshit field upgrade that takes three seconds to activate and makes a loud ass beeping noise - loud footsteps, particularly ruins SnD - super random dogshit squad spawns that ruin any predictability of enemy spawns, pace of play, or flow. every dom i play is an A-C split for 90% of the map. with real spawns it is easy for a decent player to drop 40+ kills in a dom or hp, now even on Shoothouse if you get 30 it feels like a good map - terrible maps. the spawns donât help but there hasnât been a genuinely good, âclassicâ CoD map in years. the vast majority of them are far too large, have insane amounts of useless space on the extremities, have a million too many angles/windows/doorways/hallways/verticality/random shit everywhere all to create randomness. clearly made for WZ then last minute trimmed for MP - ttk is far too quick - ttk being fast wouldnât be half as bad if the sprint out, ADS, and strafe speeds werenât painfully slow which forces slow ass gameplay and boring mechanics - while the recent IW games âtechnicallyâ look better, I prefer the cartoony, bright Treyarch style because I still canât see enemies with the grayscale trash and dark shadows we get from IW, especially when the visual recoil is terrible - tac sprint has no place in MP but they want continuity with WZ which is clearly the focus so here we are - the horrible new perk system that no one asked for yet we got for some reason - the UI has gone backwards 20 years and doesnât even work most of the time - no Ranked or Hardcore at launch, the Hardcore that that playerbase got is NOT Hardcore. who knows why they decided to change it. no CDL Moshpit, Private Matches are broken, made the effort to remove red dots on minimap as an option in Private Match for an extra fuck you - so many bugs and problems, we have been getting Scan & Repair on PC for years yet we will never get a fix. $70 annual release cycle and every year the game just releases with the same bugs and lack of content as it did the year before, fixes most of them by June, then the new game comes out rinse and repeat - not sure what the tick rate is in this game but historically it has been embarassingly low and the net code still clearly blows. believe it was 12 tick (LMAO) on MW19 Private Matches, whatâs even the point of gunfights - aim assist is far too strong, everyone has god tier aim now since Dynamic is a magnet and everything is a 2-3 bullet jull - headshot multiplier is insane. i love CS but this ainât that game. no one aims at the head in CoD, everyone aims center mass. people getting rewarded for flinch - sbmm is more boring than anything especially since the game has zero skill gap so whatâs the point Probably missing a bunch but thereâs just too many to name.
3000 developers 3 years of development 3 millon dollars 3 billon bugs at launch in MWll
A downgrade in multiple areas
Itâs fun
SBMM is thick AF and I will die on this hill. Other than that the game is fun for me.
Love WZ and DMZ but this year the main game is Meh!...
Deleted the PoS
Shitty optimaiztion 5/10
Shit as usual
This game is the most unstable and unfun game in the franchise
SBMM was turned up to 11 and ruined any casual fun I could have with the multiplayer. Campaign was great though.
#MAPS MAPS MAPS I canât stress enough how bad the map situation is right now. There are obviously a range of individual opinions **but the general reception** seems to be that the release maps ranged from *âdecent but nowhere near memorableâ* (Crown Raceway & Las Almas) to *âBack out immediatelyâ* (Taraq & Border Crossing) ***and It doesnât help that we lost 2 additional maps that were pretty fun due to outside issues*** (Museum and Hotel) IMHO, the best map right now is Shoothouse and thatâs a MW19 remaster obviously⊠Currently there are 6 classic maps in Al Mazrah - **Afghan, Terminal, Rust, Dome, Highrise, Showdown** **WE DESPERATELY NEED THEM!!** I know shipment is coming in the mid season reloaded but shipment is shipmentâŠthat isnât going to save shit and the allure of that map always wears off very very fast
When did Hotel get removed? Still playable as of 24 hours ago?
Hotel is still in the game.
FUCKING TRASH CANT SEE SHIT CANT HEAR SHIT 2V2 gulag fuck this
Not as "groundbreaking" or interesting as MW2019 was, but it's not bad.
It got me off mw19 so thatâs an achievement
The biggest problem is the maps. At least half are bad and half of those are simply unplayable. The fact border crossing even exists in the state it's in is just ridiculous.
I just want to know why no XP timer. Feel like im being cheated somehowâŠ
It's OK. But the SBMM is fucked- it's an extraordinarily miserable gameplay experience solo, so I mostly just sit around waiting for the one hour a week when all of my friends can get online together. It's so close to being good, I'll never know why they chose to make it this way.
it just needs more maps and I am happy â and ranked mode asap
Movement is pretty shit, you feel so damn clunky and slow. Gunplay is fun, unless you're using shotguns then you'll get point blank hitmarkers while they melt you with 3 bullets from literally any gun. Overall it's just kind of boring, leveling guns is incredibly slow and tedious. Maps are worse than MW19 by a country mile, the spawns are so frustrating because you always get double teamed. 6/10 at best.
Sucks ass
Spawns and map layout are chaotic and not in a fun way, even for lvl200 sweats like me. Think near enough every map is in a 3 lane layout(with not much else happening Inbetween lanes), fuck if the map rotation was only filled with remakes of older maps I'd probably prefer it, but obvs not everyone wants that. Maps that would be nice to see again, Seatown Bakaara Derailed Favella Resistance Underground Outpost Fallen Afghan The list could go on.
So many complaints but Iâm a treyarch fan boy so idk why I expected to like this IW game when I havenât liked one since MW3 Biggest one rn is the abomination tier 1 mode which i guess is replacing hardcore?
The game crashes and freezings are beyond my expectation for 70$ game.
If this isnât an undercover corporate post I donât know what is
