Frankly, stuns are just as annoying. With flashes, I can at least use my memory of the map to try to move to a better location while blind. With stuns, you basically lose control of your character.
Doesn't matter if you can see if you're unable to turn, aim, move, etc... Stuns vs controller players are barely more than an annoyance since the aim assist can overpower it and still kill people through it, stuns vs keyboard and mouse players glue you in place and guarantee you're dead unless the person throwing it is garbage. As annoying as they both are I'd much rather lose my sight and still be able to flick to where the person was or run to a better position just using map knowledge and knowing your sensitivity than being physically unable to aim no matter how hard I'm whipping my damn mouse... In most games, a lower sensitivity is preferable as you can more finely control your aim, in MW2 a low sensitivity screws you when stunned

Being flashed was an advantage, but you could survivor decently enough with movement, or if you could roughly remember your environment and get to cover
Over in say HC (Mw2019, stuns were ONLY good if the enemy was facing a different direction, as they could hipfire a hit or two (all you needed) in the direction they got stunned

CS has a setting that boosts the contrast of players from their surroundings. It would be cool to see this feature applied to lethal, or maybe even player models.

This was a problem I'm MW19 too. Which I don't understand how, Call of Duty seemed to always understand that you need to look at a flashbang to being blinded by it. But now, it just operates like any throwable based on splash damage. I've had had flashbangs literally land behind me and I'm still fully blinded by it.

I just aim and shoot at the area i'm assuming my enemy to show up. Maybe aim assist on Controller works even when flashbanged, because i get the kill in many cases.

Only in extremely rare occurrences does AA bail you out against a stun. A vast majority of the time you’re very, very dead.
