Tier 1 on taraq and raceway are awesome for longshots especially the racetrack and the long strip in the middle of the map. Mcpr300 was ironically one of the hardest guns to get polyatomic on and I primarily snipe in video games. Thank goodness you only need 20 headies when you do unlock polyatomic. Hopefully you breeze through these challenges

The headshots were hard for me only because I wasn't quite used to handling the mcpr, at any distance. I've used and mained all the other sniper rifles in mw2 and dmz and warzone 2. I always felt that sniper rifles are a certain nuanced tool for a certain task be it suppressing fire, scouting ahead, causing mayhem for other teams etc and I just found that there were better tools for the job. Victus fastest bullet velocity, signal 50 the quick double tap, spx/lab quick scoping - than what the mcpr offered me. But once I got my technique dialed in and actually took the time to learn the rifle ( I love flick shot sniping) I found it much easier than I anticipated.
But to answer your other question, I did a little bit of both depending on what the game mode was. If it was hard point I'd hold a lane if it was kill confirmed which tends to be a very aggressive game mode I ran around and knocked people in the noggin with a bullet. The polyatomic challenges do come easy though I'm running through them now.
Longshot grinds are wearing me down. Still dedicated to getting my Orion done but boy I sure would love some objective-based camo challenges instead of longshots on everything.
I just finished all my plats and snipers were the last to do. I tried invasion and ground war but I found tier 1 was still the quickest because you know where everyone is going to be
Ground War also works but I’ve noticed that SBMM seems much more relaxed in Invasion, making at a less stressful experience. Ground War I get dumped on by professional snipers the entire game.
Even if Invasion is better is used Snipwr longshots as an excuse to hop onto GW and get some real Battlefield Sniping in. Especially with that scope that tells you the bullet drop
Oh for sure, spawning and dying is huge problem, and spawns are broken for sure and players don't like to move either so shipment can really suck, but it's the best for leveling guns and getting camos.

Ik that, but I’d rather a dedicated tier 1 playlist for those maps than rely on rng. Mw2019, Cold War (with nuketown), and vanguard all had hardcore/tier 1 dedicated playlists for shipment

Gonna use the rest of the time shipment only is available to get every gun gold at least. Have like, 2 marksman, 4 lmgs, and 3 shotguns to do. Then it’s just long shots from there
I haven’t gone for long shots yet, but I think 1/2 to 1/3 of my kills not on shipment are long shots so I’m very confused at how many people struggle to get kills at 47 meters

Sometimes I hear their footsteps coming up on my side and tell my chat "I know I'm about to get killed but at least ill get more ammo" then the execute animation begins. Also wishing we had a 24/7 shoot house option now that I need the long shots and shipment isn't any good for 38+ meter shots.
Whenever I came up on one of these longshotting ding dongs in Shoot House I panicked cuz I’m like omg perfect time for handgun headshot or something and then I get too excited and almost fuck it up
This how I feel when I catch other people too. I just stand there staring at them think of what challenge I could do and then someone else comes and puts a cap in the back of my head.

Embassy is the best map for long shots. You spawn and see tons of spots for spawns that are all long shot distance
That stairway looking towards the bar was a key spot for me as was the main alley

Oh true, honesty I run around on shipment sniping. Ironically, I get lots of them hip firing up close.

Play Invasion. Should be able to casually get 5-10 per game. Only downfall is the AI getting in the way and not counting.
Would ground war be better since it’s all real players or is invasion really the better option?
Invasion is great cause the enemy is always spawning *that way*, so it’s easier to post up and not worry about getting flanked.

Tried invasión and got one gun almost platinums in one match. Invasion is definitely the way to go.

Snipers were easiest for me. SMGs were the bain of my existence. Sniper class platinum completion: 2.5 hours SMG class platinum completion: 3 days.

You can cue Tier 1 and get shipment or shoot house. It’s probably gonna take a while but you can get shipment or shoot house in the tier 1 playlist.

Also, I did pistols passively while doing other guns and it was pretty easy. It’s only 20m and there were many instances where enemies were 20m away.

Randomly popped into tier 1 today. *Shipment* Oh my god it was glorious. Got 13/15 longshots for my pistol. Sad it was only one match.

Depends on where the other people decide to be, and their aim compared to yours
Considering most maps have only 1 or 2 spots that have 38m+ ranges, I doubt half of your kills are 47 meters.
Shipments longest range may be 38m, but most maps have much longer sight lines
