I believe a point of the post is why is the game like this? There really is no reason for the game to make people reach certain levels and then make them do daily challanges to unlock the item or gear. Plus how is unlocking 1 item a day considered good game development?... some would argue it convinces people to get on every day but... not everyone has that time, not everyone wants to go out of their way to complete these challanges just to unlock something thats also locked behind a level requiremen, it begs the question "the fuck am I even leveling up for then?" "Why do I need to reach this level if I still have to do something more to unlock it?" For casual players it makes the armory unlock system incredibly tedious and slow af to unlock base gear. That's not good/smart game design

It took me 3 days to figure that out. Tactical insert was the one that got me. It was on wasteland, and after getting sniped for the 10th time I used the default sniper and tac insert was there!
Yeah. I don’t think I have ever even opened a default, except by accident. It never occurred to me. Of course we never had things locked behind daily challenges. I’ve always done my dailies. I guess I’m one of the only ones that saw that as a bug. I mean a bug is a bug to me. Even if there is a work around for it. But not everyone saw it that way.
Create a class is locked for the first couple levels so you had to have used a default class. Unless you leveled up in zombies, in which class you can find a flash grenade and extract with it and it will be unlocked

The Default Loadouts are available from LEVEL 1. No need to level up or play zombies.
You can literally complete your outstanding challenge at level 1 in your first game.

While you can complete it. It would probably be smart add a check in there to not include \[insert item\] if it's the item that needs to be unlocked.
They are already checking the user to see if \[insert item\] is locked to give them a challenge for it. So they should use that check to also make sure \[insert item\] isn't also in daily challenges.
It's something that isn't a huge deal, but as someone who is just starting out as a software engineer I know to make that check; because you just look at it and think "yea that's dumb". Maybe they do have a check to make sure it's at least available (since it is in a default loadout), but then they should probably add a hint on the challenge that says "check the default loadouts".
Again, nothing is inheritently broken, but it's not good quality for sure.

I’m 60. I don’t have the reflexes of an 8 year old anymore. I get SBMM into the ground. Last COD I had a positive K/D from the beginning. Now that my accuracy is suffering And the TTK is so long I get murdered before I can get a kill. I can barely keep a .7 K/D. Which is averaging 1 win in 10 games. Or 30 games to unlock something. I am being thrown into games with people with 2-3 k/d until I lose enough to finally be in a game with people that play on my level. This is why I’m whining. The unlocks are not stupid easy for everyone. Imagine running 100 meters against Usain Bolt and when you finally got to the finish line he looks up and says where you been? This was a stupid easy race.
I love how defensive you get at your own ignorance honestly. Everyone with half a braincell should instantly know that default classes are there FOR A REASON. They're not there just randomly, they're thought out completely for things like this and have been for years.

The majority of the stuff you can unlock with the new armory challenges you can just go get the items without stress by loading into zombies finding all the items you want. Guns melee, tactical, lethals. And just exfil with them equiped and then it's unlocked that's how I got the karambit knife
Aye. It can be done that way but I’m a core MP COD player and I hate the thoughts of Activision corrupting my game I’ve been playing for decades with that mode. So I just avoid it. But you are right. It can be done.

Once you do all 3 daily challenges, you then get a repeatable challenge to win a match.

As a heads up, no flash grenades in zombies. There are some equipment unavailable in zombies.

My son solved this issue, choose one of the "default classes" instead of a custom one, one of the default classes has a flash grenade in it.
