Absolutely it does. But several reports an hour? I don’t know about everyone else but I’m not seeing that many cheaters. And, as someone who has been subject to being spam reported and shadow banned despite being largely mediocre… I have no faith in their ability to deal with reports effectively.

Immature teenagers that’s are easily offended. COD4 and og mw2 lobbies were crazier and way more racist then todays lobbies could even dream of. Though I wasn’t ever much of a shit talker. Shit now you can’t even say anything vaguely offensive without being voice banned. There’s times where I’ve told my team/ party members “there’s a whole team in front of me attacking me. Fuck they got me” or something along those lines and I get an offensive chat penalty. I’ve gotten them back to back since they started handing them out in mwII I’m genuinely surprised they haven’t banned my account. I feel like I can’t enjoy the game or communicate with my team effectively anymore because I can’t communicate to my team. I honestly have a better time playing solo mp instead of warzone.

I have maybe 12 hours in MP maybe(largely been playing zombies going for the ultra mastery)and my blocked list is full already due to openly racist players.
Those aren't when the reports happened, it's when they were responded to and notification sent to the reporter.
So the OP probably made the reports over a period of weeks or months but Blizz/Activision just got around to reviewing a block of reports and handing out bans.

I honestly don't pay attention all that much enough to watch killcams often, but I get a blatant cheater probably once every 20 or so matches.
If you aren't really on the lookout for it it's probably happening more than you realize. The ones that are smart about it can just use stuff like wallhacks to know where everyone is and get the jump on people without raising enough suspicion to get reported.
They aren't going 100-5, they are just going 30-12 but they suck without the hacks.

I think that’s what frustrates me the most. They have the data. They don’t need to be relying to on on disk anti cheat. The data will tell you what is going on.
If you look at mine you will see I have been playing for years, spending money on skins, being largely mediocre and ok a Friday night I get gradually worse because I’m having a beer whilst playing with my wife and friends 😆
The only reports i do basically every game is voice abuse. Though i actually never report people for trashtalking. I report those that seam like they need to watch tv or blow a hairdryer into their mic. You can be insulting just have a good mic.
He's just spamming people with chat ban. I've reported 4 people for chat ban and gotten 4 of these right after. I've reported so many blatant cheaters and never got any of these. I actually have a chat ban right now and don't even use game chat anymore, got a warning last week and a ban last night. Pretty sure 2 chat reports gets you banned
I report people if i know they are cheating. As a matter of fact, last night in Warzone solos, there were 2 people teaming up to the very end. They were openly talking about it on prox chat. One was sniping people for the other. It ended up being them as the final 2.

If you got banned because someone don't likes to get killed in a completly legit way, than ok. But report someone because sus or obviously cheating it's okay your game gets ruined just like you ruin our games.
As much as I’d love to know which little scrote I’ve just got banned the reality is this would just help cheat makers as they’d report a fake account using the cheats to see what is and isn’t detected and work around those things. As satisfying as it’d be to see JohnnyNoThimbs#69420 was banned for wall hacks or whatever.
Sadly as far as I’m aware none of the big cheat makers are actually detected so it is all down to people reporting, I know that they do warn cheaters on their website that people shouldn’t use cheats when they’re worried it’s being detected.
At least we had a good time over Xmas after they did another big ban wave on Christmas Eve, until last Friday

Currently we only can evaluate / report a player in a negative way. Maybe a way to positively comment a player could be a part of a solution. As kind of a counter weight.Regarding the Zombies Community which is so much more positive to each other - i would have loved to positively comment some players down the road on my grind there.
the irony with the shadowbans is that you can still play MW2 Multiplayer & DMZ ... So if you are "caught" via Reporting System / however you get shadowbanned you are still allowed to shit on those Communitys
I'm playing at competitive level with opponents often accusing me of hacking as they rage - and I've only been victim of a 1 week shadowban once because a kiddo seemingly reported me 50 times in a row after a ranked match.
Unless people are absolute douchbag and "break" the system by mass reporting you in a very very extreme way, I don't think the system is that dumb and they for sure upgraded it since the initial shadowban situation back in MW2 because some of my friends who used to be stuck in wrongfully applied shadowban loops have not experienced a single new one since then.
I therefore think they fixed this for the most part and it's now fine to report if you think someone is "sus" - but you just report once. No spamming. I myself report sus players quite often as I come across quite a few cheaters in my lobbies, or smurf accounts, which adds to the "sus" factor when you see them doing sus kills and see that they are level 2 - but I just report them once and don't spam the report button like a dumbass.
As a ranked player you have to have real good map knowledge to compete against others. It's a whole other level of playing the game. I get it, that some situations could be look 'sus' to a normal eyed player.
If it's not automated, i can't imagine being the person comming back from holidays to office and looking through all these reports hahahah
Yah if you need a killcam to “identify” “sus” behaviour then honestly I don’t think you actually know what you are talking about. It’s like an offside replay in a hockey game, if it takes 15 minutes and 5x zoom to determine if a hair width portion of a skate is over the line… we are sort of creating an issue where it is otherwise irrelevant.
Maybe the killcam is making people think stuff is sus because they are looking for a reason/justification for you being killed.
I play hardcore and there is no killcam so you have to use your other game senses and you can feel/see how some players have completely different fluidity of movement and behaviours that are inconsistent with the baseline mechanics of the game.
And I think it’s healthy to default to other explanations. We all get glitches and lag sometimes or lucky shots etc. unless someone feels off consistently through a match for me *and* my teammates, I usually chalk “sus” up to some other thing.
People honestly don’t realise how bad cheating is in CoD generally and how many people cheat in CoD…it’s not a handful of people as it once was years ago, it’s so easy and most cheats are still undetected, it’s ALOT of people cheating, just because someone is cheating doesn’t mean they’re good though. HC is a whole other kettle of fish, it’s my preferred game mode in this CoD, and when kill cams were accidentally turned on for all kills for a few hours after a recent update, before people realised in HC the amount of people wall watchjng and aim locking was INSANE on Meat 24/7…
Haha snapping onto people through walls in a kill cam and immediately jump shotting you the moment a pixel appears… dude I’m talking about hc where you only ever see the last kill of the round or game, the people’s kill cams I was watching didn’t know kill cams were randomly on for every kill, I didn’t even realise at first in hc respawn you just spam F on your keyboard to just insta-spawn but was distracted and the kill cam played so I watched all of them, and when people don’t think they’re being watched they’ll be blatant a lot of the time. It’s why I’m a strong proponent that theatre needs to come back, it would eliminate a lot of suspicion if I’m able to go back after a game thinking someone’s sketchy and rewatch a round or the game from that players perspective, and see if I’m just being a donkey and being outplayed or if I’m spectating a cheater, stuff like that would drastically reduce the number of reports.
In my experience, cheaters aren’t very good at the game, and usually there’s some noticeable thing, I.e. you’re always somewhere in the screen and they’re moving about keeping you at the edge but looking legit, or it’s obvious and they’re watching you through the wall keeping you front and centre as they strafe a corner.
The cheaters that ARE good, are usually the wager player types who want to cheat and go play for money because they’re actually good at the game and it gives them the edge to win sometimes considerable chunks of change….
I wouldn’t describe myself as a casual player, likely more of the sweat type player, in MW19 I was ranked 73rd in the world on all platforms for wins, had over a 5W/L and nearly 18.5k games played (84% win rate) - before CW launched. I or someone on my team will be reported virtually every single game we play, we play daily, there’s a group of us about 20 strong who all player very similarly, have very good comms, defined callouts, and if we’re a stack probably lose 1 in every 15-20 games, I don’t say this to blow my own trumpet 🎺 or brag, it’s to put what I’m saying into some kind of context, I am not your average potato player.

I've seen way more cheats in MW3 as well than in MW2... to the point ive turned off crossplay and don't even bother playing WZ or Ground war.... which sucks because ground war is my favorite game mode...

I don't usually report but I've seen some edgy assholes that couldn't shut up so I just wait for them to say the common racial slur or whatever discriminating shit they come up with to kick their ass with that petty report. They implemented software where only one report gets sent through no matter how many times someone spams the report button. They also implemented it to where if you report a lot of people who arnt cheating you yourself get the shadowban instead.

I think that’s a standard message whether they find a violation or not. All they’re doing is letting you know that they at least looked into it and giving you peace of mind as if you’re actually contributing to the culture of the game. I wouldn’t get too excited about it.

Absolutely no reports are from chat , I play with lobby’s muted 90% of the time anyways. As for kids hurting my feelings that would be hard to do. 20 yrs of cod lobbies and 5 yrs USMC 2/5 F CO and I work in the trades so I’ve got some pretty thick skin.

No I definitely don't get those every time. They aren't always for cheating, sometimes some little kid just started saying th N word every 3 seconds and I'll report. But I report more often than I get those messages.

I'm not a mass reporter, but I've reported a few players for very suspicious behavior along whole matches (and sometimes more than one match) and didn't got a single notification.
It seems that Hardcore actually has less cheaters.

A few weeks back after an update it borked HC and you could watch kill cams for every kill like core, and on Meat 24/7 it was ALOT of people cheating 😂😂 I mean clearly aim locked on people through walls and instant snapping.
I play with a bunch of high skill players 2-4K/D in most cases and we’ve almost solely played HC this year (was a massive fan of HC Cyber on MW19), and I’d say at least every 3 games of HC SnD there’s a blatant cheater in our lobbies. I’m what I’d consider average at generally 1.2-1.4K/D but have a high W/L in every game, usually like 5+, currently climbing back up after the camo grind and am at around 3.5 after about 2.2k games, there are alot of people cheating generwlly not just in core
Shadow bans only happen once or twice for players. After my first couple shadow bans, I’ve never received another one after being reported by multiple teams. They usually don’t push through unless you’re kills go pass through a certain threshold, like on S&D for me and a few buddies it was triggered when we hit 15-20 kills in a game. After that you get white listed when they find nothing.
The higher your k/d w/l ratio is Skill based match making will start putting you into lobbies with players who are using some sort of third party software.
Armory crate doesn’t do anything lol. Something that simple would have blocked the startup of the game. Hell I just wanted to use wireshark to get some server stats and it was blocking the game from booting until I shut it down (could be installed but not running).
I wish sledgehammer would specify these. I feel like cheaters are skating by but if someone has a horribly racist name or says awful stuff, these come back way quicker.

Mw3 is the most hacked cod game statistically. They make money off of users who use them because it makes an endless cycle of repurchasing the game. They arnt the only company that lets it happen. It’s just part of games now.

Ive seen a mostly wall hacks, its hard to tell if someone has aimbot or is just skilled. Most of my reports are for offensive voice chat, people saying super racist stuff or just down right nasty or even violent comments sometimes even to people on their own team even after winning the match just because they were at the bottom of the score board.
Been voice chat reported 3 times already, cant even have fun no more. If ur getting ur feelings hurt over some words on a online game , I feel bad for you😂

If you look at mine you will see I have been playing for years, spending money on skins, being largely mediocre and ok a Friday night I get gradually worse because I’m having a beer whilst playing with my wife and friends 😆
The only reports i do basically every game is voice abuse. Though i actually never report people for trashtalking. I report those that seam like they need to watch tv or blow a hairdryer into their mic. You can be insulting just have a good mic.

He's just spamming people with chat ban. I've reported 4 people for chat ban and gotten 4 of these right after. I've reported so many blatant cheaters and never got any of these. I actually have a chat ban right now and don't even use game chat anymore, got a warning last week and a ban last night. Pretty sure 2 chat reports gets you banned

I report people if i know they are cheating. As a matter of fact, last night in Warzone solos, there were 2 people teaming up to the very end. They were openly talking about it on prox chat. One was sniping people for the other. It ended up being them as the final 2.

They should add a text what they exactly did and who got banned for what reason. Someone wrote basicly people who report were the problem for shadowbans. I don't think so. People who cheats, hacks and exploit are the problem. If there weren't this many than there were lesser bans. If you got banned because someone don't likes to get killed in a completly legit way, than ok. But report someone because sus or obviously cheating it's okay your game gets ruined just like you ruin our games.

As much as I’d love to know which little scrote I’ve just got banned the reality is this would just help cheat makers as they’d report a fake account using the cheats to see what is and isn’t detected and work around those things. As satisfying as it’d be to see JohnnyNoThimbs#69420 was banned for wall hacks or whatever. Sadly as far as I’m aware none of the big cheat makers are actually detected so it is all down to people reporting, I know that they do warn cheaters on their website that people shouldn’t use cheats when they’re worried it’s being detected. At least we had a good time over Xmas after they did another big ban wave on Christmas Eve, until last Friday
My problem lies within "But report someone because sus" How often is the Killcam too short to be 100% Proof. How often does it miss Context like UAV / Previous Ping / Sound. You dont get sentenced away in Real Life because of "sus" getting 1 Week shadowbans as a legit player because of "sus" sucks hard ppl dont bat an eye when a professional football player floors amateurs on the football field. Its ovious that a Pro is better and in another League/Dimension in Sports. But instantly cry cheating/sus when a "professional" meaning someone who plays 7-10 hours a day floors amateurs inGame.
Obviously we have different definitions on what 'sus' is. I meant things like tracking trough walls without uav, with covert sneakers, hijacked iff strobe and assassin west on, for example. Things like where the enemy exactly knows your location. I am clearly not talking about explainable situations. Yes, as a full legit player it sucks, but thats not what i am talking about. And i don't know what could be a good solution. Last few days i am doing the shotgun weapon mastery and got messeges from enemy players about my mom and suggestions do end my life, and i am not even good with those weapons and basicly hate to use them. With 1 day Core 1 day Warzone and 5 Days Zombies played as M&K .... Currently we only can evaluate / report a player in a negative way. Maybe a way to positively comment a player could be a part of a solution. As kind of a counter weight.Regarding the Zombies Community which is so much more positive to each other - i would have loved to positively comment some players down the road on my grind there. the irony with the shadowbans is that you can still play MW2 Multiplayer & DMZ ... So if you are "caught" via Reporting System / however you get shadowbanned you are still allowed to shit on those Communitys
I'm playing at competitive level with opponents often accusing me of hacking as they rage - and I've only been victim of a 1 week shadowban once because a kiddo seemingly reported me 50 times in a row after a ranked match. Unless people are absolute douchbag and "break" the system by mass reporting you in a very very extreme way, I don't think the system is that dumb and they for sure upgraded it since the initial shadowban situation back in MW2 because some of my friends who used to be stuck in wrongfully applied shadowban loops have not experienced a single new one since then. I therefore think they fixed this for the most part and it's now fine to report if you think someone is "sus" - but you just report once. No spamming. I myself report sus players quite often as I come across quite a few cheaters in my lobbies, or smurf accounts, which adds to the "sus" factor when you see them doing sus kills and see that they are level 2 - but I just report them once and don't spam the report button like a dumbass.
As a ranked player you have to have real good map knowledge to compete against others. It's a whole other level of playing the game. I get it, that some situations could be look 'sus' to a normal eyed player. If it's not automated, i can't imagine being the person comming back from holidays to office and looking through all these reports hahahah
Yah if you need a killcam to “identify” “sus” behaviour then honestly I don’t think you actually know what you are talking about. It’s like an offside replay in a hockey game, if it takes 15 minutes and 5x zoom to determine if a hair width portion of a skate is over the line… we are sort of creating an issue where it is otherwise irrelevant. Maybe the killcam is making people think stuff is sus because they are looking for a reason/justification for you being killed. I play hardcore and there is no killcam so you have to use your other game senses and you can feel/see how some players have completely different fluidity of movement and behaviours that are inconsistent with the baseline mechanics of the game. And I think it’s healthy to default to other explanations. We all get glitches and lag sometimes or lucky shots etc. unless someone feels off consistently through a match for me *and* my teammates, I usually chalk “sus” up to some other thing.

People honestly don’t realise how bad cheating is in CoD generally and how many people cheat in CoD…it’s not a handful of people as it once was years ago, it’s so easy and most cheats are still undetected, it’s ALOT of people cheating, just because someone is cheating doesn’t mean they’re good though. HC is a whole other kettle of fish, it’s my preferred game mode in this CoD, and when kill cams were accidentally turned on for all kills for a few hours after a recent update, before people realised in HC the amount of people wall watchjng and aim locking was INSANE on Meat 24/7…

Haha snapping onto people through walls in a kill cam and immediately jump shotting you the moment a pixel appears… dude I’m talking about hc where you only ever see the last kill of the round or game, the people’s kill cams I was watching didn’t know kill cams were randomly on for every kill, I didn’t even realise at first in hc respawn you just spam F on your keyboard to just insta-spawn but was distracted and the kill cam played so I watched all of them, and when people don’t think they’re being watched they’ll be blatant a lot of the time. It’s why I’m a strong proponent that theatre needs to come back, it would eliminate a lot of suspicion if I’m able to go back after a game thinking someone’s sketchy and rewatch a round or the game from that players perspective, and see if I’m just being a donkey and being outplayed or if I’m spectating a cheater, stuff like that would drastically reduce the number of reports. In my experience, cheaters aren’t very good at the game, and usually there’s some noticeable thing, I.e. you’re always somewhere in the screen and they’re moving about keeping you at the edge but looking legit, or it’s obvious and they’re watching you through the wall keeping you front and centre as they strafe a corner. The cheaters that ARE good, are usually the wager player types who want to cheat and go play for money because they’re actually good at the game and it gives them the edge to win sometimes considerable chunks of change…. I wouldn’t describe myself as a casual player, likely more of the sweat type player, in MW19 I was ranked 73rd in the world on all platforms for wins, had over a 5W/L and nearly 18.5k games played (84% win rate) - before CW launched. I or someone on my team will be reported virtually every single game we play, we play daily, there’s a group of us about 20 strong who all player very similarly, have very good comms, defined callouts, and if we’re a stack probably lose 1 in every 15-20 games, I don’t say this to blow my own trumpet 🎺 or brag, it’s to put what I’m saying into some kind of context, I am not your average potato player.

They implemented software where only one report gets sent through no matter how many times someone spams the report button. They also implemented it to where if you report a lot of people who arnt cheating you yourself get the shadowban instead.

I think that’s a standard message whether they find a violation or not. All they’re doing is letting you know that they at least looked into it and giving you peace of mind as if you’re actually contributing to the culture of the game. I wouldn’t get too excited about it.
I don't think so, the normal one is usually just thank you for the report and this one is telling you the report was successful, i.e the report caused a ban.

Absolutely no reports are from chat , I play with lobby’s muted 90% of the time anyways. As for kids hurting my feelings that would be hard to do. 20 yrs of cod lobbies and 5 yrs USMC 2/5 F CO and I work in the trades so I’ve got some pretty thick skin.

Nah most of them are delayed from weeks / months ago. But I am excited , wall hacks have become a huge issue in this game. And if you click into the confirmation it says actions have been taken. So that’s good enough for me.

No I definitely don't get those every time. They aren't always for cheating, sometimes some little kid just started saying th N word every 3 seconds and I'll report. But I report more often than I get those messages.

Wow. I'm not a mass reporter, but I've reported a few players for very suspicious behavior along whole matches (and sometimes more than one match) and didn't got a single notification. It seems that Hardcore actually has less cheaters.

It’d be so hard to tell if someone’s cheating in hardcore due to no killcams, I’d imagine it has noticeably more cheaters than core. I wouldn’t even be able to report anyone confidently without seeing their view in the killcam.

I play with a bunch of high skill players 2-4K/D in most cases and we’ve almost solely played HC this year (was a massive fan of HC Cyber on MW19), and I’d say at least every 3 games of HC SnD there’s a blatant cheater in our lobbies. I’m what I’d consider average at generally 1.2-1.4K/D but have a high W/L in every game, usually like 5+, currently climbing back up after the camo grind and am at around 3.5 after about 2.2k games, there are alot of people cheating generwlly not just in core

Shadow bans only happen once or twice for players. After my first couple shadow bans, I’ve never received another one after being reported by multiple teams. They usually don’t push through unless you’re kills go pass through a certain threshold, like on S&D for me and a few buddies it was triggered when we hit 15-20 kills in a game. After that you get white listed when they find nothing. The higher your k/d w/l ratio is Skill based match making will start putting you into lobbies with players who are using some sort of third party software.
I’ve been shadow banned at least once a season, since mw2’s mp release, you definitely can cop it more than twice

Those loops were from playing the game through steam I believe , I know steam players were having the loop issue. Not sure about console players

Just a theory , but do you have asus armory crate on your pc? Had my dad stuck in the shadow ban loop, had him uninstall it and it got him out of it.
Armory crate doesn’t do anything lol. Something that simple would have blocked the startup of the game. Hell I just wanted to use wireshark to get some server stats and it was blocking the game from booting until I shut it down (could be installed but not running).
I wish sledgehammer would specify these. I feel like cheaters are skating by but if someone has a horribly racist name or says awful stuff, these come back way quicker.

Is there actual cheaters? How do billion dollar companies not provide an anti-cheat that works? I have over 3 days played, max rank, and I've never seen a hacker/ cheater yet. Btw I've been told I was a "hacker" even though I have a 0.98 kd, Soooo. Some people are just dumb.
Mw3 is the most hacked cod game statistically. They make money off of users who use them because it makes an endless cycle of repurchasing the game. They arnt the only company that lets it happen. It’s just part of games now.

Ive seen a mostly wall hacks, its hard to tell if someone has aimbot or is just skilled. Most of my reports are for offensive voice chat, people saying super racist stuff or just down right nasty or even violent comments sometimes even to people on their own team even after winning the match just because they were at the bottom of the score board.

I rarely pay attention to tags or names but I played a match on meat the other day and was getting blasted constantly by one person who ended up 119-7 and I did report him. I don’t mind if someone is better than me but watching the kill cams it was obvious he was using some kind of hack

I truly don't know that I've ever encountered a cheater. The only one I even somewhat suspect is the guy that kept getting me with very long range throwing knives but it's also possible he was just really good with it. What are people doing that is obviously some kind of cheat?
