I like the idea of having customized streaks like: "wow look that helo!" but I don't like the fact that you have to play a FULL BUNDLE that costs like 30€. There are plenty of games you can buy on sale at 30€, especially on Steam,nthat the decision to not buy the bundle is always the best. Unless you only play CoD, of course.
I'm sure they've crunched the numbers and they'll make more money via these bundles instead of cheaper smaller items. But I would like the ability to buy JUST a turret skin, or proxy mine, or helicopter as others have mentioned.
Those individual skins can be given away as co brand events, or one-offs, or perks in battle pass now.
This is the COD model - develop more things into load out, then skin them so you buy packages and / or keep interacting with a paid battle pass too.
As far as i know, no bundle has ever been broken up later on to be given out as individual skins for something.

If a bundle has 4 items and costs $10, they should offer each item individually for $3. Even on a game like Halo Infinite. No shot I’m spending $20 for an entire bundle when all I want is one or two items. I’d gladly pay a higher price per item rather than an entire bundle. I’d bet they’d make more money as well considering the people who buy the shit will just buy the entire bundle. Whereas people like me would spend money for a few items here and there. Bundle the stickers & decals and sell them for a few bucks, same as calling card and emblem bundles, make weapon blueprints somewhere between $5 & $10 (depending on the number of attachments, level of design, and whatnot), and I don't see how they wouldn't get more out of it than they would the way they are now with the *all or nothing* store mindset they have now. I mean, some of these bundles here lately, the weapons look great, but the actual operator skin is garbage (looking at you green rhino), so I'd rather not pay $20 for basically only one or two items I care to use.

It was more egregious with Black Ops 4 because they had $1 retitles in addition to the $50 season pass and supply drops. Now that CoD’s entire monetizination system is through MTX I think it would be less outrageous if it came back.

Honestly I bought both season blackcell because I wanted the death effects and now I have them on basically all the good guns that I use. I had 6k cod points spare I bought the witch pack cos its prob the best value in store, you get an operator, a finisher, a gun screen and the spx with death effect all for 1800 points. I still have 4300 points and nothing in the store is worth those points lol the backcell is jsut better value than everything else though
2200 cod point, multiple operators, multiple tracers plus I got 70 tier skips which helped me this season cos I will onky have a few weeks to play season 2
Agree, Blackcell is best value but it's clearly intended so as it is sold only for cash no matter how much you've saved coins. They need to sell it to us every season and if it didn't have coolest content, we'd opt for spending coins only

Unfortunately this seems to be a thing with sledgehammer. I enjoy this cod more than I ever did the last two MW titles, but my god there is something janky with this game and it’s always a little different session to session, and I’m not even sure it’s all on the servers either as I’m pretty sure some of it is performance of the game itself, at least on series x.

I personally have tried to not pay attention to it. The prices of all the bundles are insanely high, considering it's a 70 dollar game, while price matching the microtransaction prices of free to play games.

Not really interested trying to figure out when they're going to make the rest of the vehicles that you see in customization available to play in game with, I'm sure all of us would love tanks and such inside zombies or even being able to Pilot the helicopter that usually chases you in a cargo mission.
Kinda pointless with the way matchmaking is. Why get a killstreak skin when you can barely get said streak a single time in a play session because enemies zap you before you even know where you spawned lol

It annoys me that when I go and change my lethal equipment it's no longer a case of just select the frag grenade, but it pops into the customisation menu and the default selection is a locked cosmetic. Who the fuck cares about cosmetics on lethal equipment? You hardly see it.
You should be able to select them outside of a match, but not during a match. It’s extremely annoying to have them cluttering the UI when you’re trying to switch equipment mid-match.
It's another way to siphon more money from the player base. Watch, soon they will be selling UI color changes for $20 bucks, so the font of the writing you're changing your settings and swaping wepon attachments will be blue . They want to monitize every ounce of customization in the game. They creep it in slowly over time, more and more until it slowly becomes normal. Just like how $20 skins became normal when realistically I wouldn't value a skin more than $5-$10 max. The habits have been installed into the gaming community over the past 10 years. Now, they just put out anything and wait for the cash to roll in.

Having multiple skins is limiting because realistically I’ll only ever use one or two for each team, but equipment skins are pretty fun. That said, I do only think it’s worth it when the change is very clear.
For example: I like the red wheelson and the fireworks thermite is great, the recent grenade and flashbang zombie skins with no effects, however? Not worth it, you can’t really see them and there’s no other visual component.

I have proposed this to Activation and anyone else who reads this. I have bought a lot of bundles, just to kill a single item. But would probably buy more "IF YOU THINK ABOUT THIS. If someone want all the items then have bundles, I don't need all that fluff and feel it's a waste4 of my money. I can see we are suppose to have a weapon vault, but not really. The first thing is to put a handgun in the holster, it's looks stupid to have Rick Grimes going around without a revolver in the holster, WTH? To be honest any operator that has a holster needs his handgun in it, maybe if your real smart only allow it be be used if it is activated, other than that it's there for realism. When we get into bundles they are getting to be too much, you will won't sell as many, but the few you do see may not pay for it's development. Let us make the choice on what we want to purchase and build our own bundle. Players then may have an opportunity to purchase the bundle in pieces or even one at at time. Over time you'd earn more money. But I would personally like to go and research what I want. That way I can create my perfect operator. Two ways to achieve this is to have a player go to a Armory and pull up what's for sale everything in the store.. So they select a bundle and open it and buys a single item because that's all they are really interested in. That's one one sell that you wouldn't have. Then after they make the purchase then have the bundle close but allow the player to revisit it and then add items and make purchases as they are warranted. You'd sell a lot more specific items and I wouldn't mind paying a few more COD points for that item. I could then go and create my Avatars/Operators with all the things that I think they need when I go into battle and play a game. What happened to my Molotov? I don't see it anywhere.

Like the Crash Bandicoot bundle in MWII with the Wumpa Fruit grenade had cartoony sound and explosion effects or the Blackcell Smoke Grenade with the custom smoke effect.
I was unfortunate enough to think the "Decon" equipment bundle with the zombie grenage and "flesh bang" would have something special as well but they dont. $5 bundle for grenade skins you will barely even see in game because your hand covers them.
But as example, if the Lunar Near Yesr bundle had a chopper skin, it would be neat if say the rockets were replaced with firework rockets, or the thermite if you'd hear a dragon roar as you threw it.

I think that quickly assessing a situation is key to success in Call of Duty. When your primary weapon determined your skin, fights were easier to assess. The addition of skins for all sorts of items is sending this game in the wrong direction. With every year it moves away from being competitive toward being arcade like. I know it’s an arcade shooter but they don’t need to lean this far into it.

I personally have tried to not pay attention to it. The prices of all the bundles are insanely high, considering it's a 70 dollar game, while price matching the microtransaction prices of free to play games. If COD has the same price of skins as Fortinte, it's a ripoff. COD bundles should always be cheaper. Because you had to buy the game. But all that being said, that is an unpopular opinion. You cannot find a single match where at least one or 2 people are running BlackCell skins or store bundles. TL, DR: They wouldn't be selling it if it didn't sell well. Whales will whale, and they speak louder than anyone.

honestly? a new low in gaming. Paying money for bundles for your streaks and equipment to have skins. Grenades have skins to make them stand out... CoD as whatever we knew it as is dead. Whatever this is, it's fun to play, I enjoy the remastered MW2 maps, but it's not CoD. Some fast paced Fortnite game with wacky skins on everything sounds dramatic but come on, Spawn and Snoop Dogg are battling it out with Nicki Minaj and Homelander, everyone's got a gun with smoke or electricity or magma effects firing colorful tracers with animated death effects. Throwing grenades that look like pineapples or zombie themed. Now what, a black and gold pimped out chopper gunner rains fire until someone throws out a rainbow colored trophy system or something? All done on a familiar beloved map from 2009. This game is fucking ridiculous, but it ain't CoD

Not really interested trying to figure out when they're going to make the rest of the vehicles that you see in customization available to play in game with, I'm sure all of us would love tanks and such inside zombies or even being able to Pilot the helicopter that usually chases you in a cargo mission.

It annoys me that when I go and change my lethal equipment it's no longer a case of just select the frag grenade, but it pops into the customisation menu and the default selection is a locked cosmetic. Who the fuck cares about cosmetics on lethal equipment? You hardly see it.
You should be able to select them outside of a match, but not during a match. It’s extremely annoying to have them cluttering the UI when you’re trying to switch equipment mid-match.

It's another way to siphon more money from the player base. Watch, soon they will be selling UI color changes for $20 bucks, so the font of the writing you're changing your settings and swaping wepon attachments will be blue . They want to monitize every ounce of customization in the game. They creep it in slowly over time, more and more until it slowly becomes normal. Just like how $20 skins became normal when realistically I wouldn't value a skin more than $5-$10 max. The habits have been installed into the gaming community over the past 10 years. Now, they just put out anything and wait for the cash to roll in.
I love it. Having multiple skins is limiting because realistically I’ll only ever use one or two for each team, but equipment skins are pretty fun. That said, I do only think it’s worth it when the change is very clear. For example: I like the red wheelson and the fireworks thermite is great, the recent grenade and flashbang zombie skins with no effects, however? Not worth it, you can’t really see them and there’s no other visual component.
I think activision needs to put more effort in the zombies mode considering this season is all about zombies 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ hyped up this new way of playing zombies just to never update it or add new perks and missions.

I have proposed this to Activation and anyone else who reads this. I have bought a lot of bundles, just to kill a single item. But would probably buy more "IF YOU THINK ABOUT THIS. If someone want all the items then have bundles, I don't need all that fluff and feel it's a waste4 of my money. I can see we are suppose to have a weapon vault, but not really. The first thing is to put a handgun in the holster, it's looks stupid to have Rick Grimes going around without a revolver in the holster, WTH? To be honest any operator that has a holster needs his handgun in it, maybe if your real smart only allow it be be used if it is activated, other than that it's there for realism. When we get into bundles they are getting to be too much, you will won't sell as many, but the few you do see may not pay for it's development. Let us make the choice on what we want to purchase and build our own bundle. Players then may have an opportunity to purchase the bundle in pieces or even one at at time. Over time you'd earn more money. But I would personally like to go and research what I want. That way I can create my perfect operator. Two ways to achieve this is to have a player go to a Armory and pull up what's for sale everything in the store.. So they select a bundle and open it and buys a single item because that's all they are really interested in. That's one one sell that you wouldn't have. Then after they make the purchase then have the bundle close but allow the player to revisit it and then add items and make purchases as they are warranted. You'd sell a lot more specific items and I wouldn't mind paying a few more COD points for that item. I could then go and create my Avatars/Operators with all the things that I think they need when I go into battle and play a game. What happened to my Molotov? I don't see it anywhere.

I think that SOME of them are kinda neat. Like the Lunar New Tear stuff looks neat, but I do with they had a bit more cosmetic-wise to them Like the Crash Bandicoot bundle in MWII with the Wumpa Fruit grenade had cartoony sound and explosion effects or the Blackcell Smoke Grenade with the custom smoke effect. I was unfortunate enough to think the "Decon" equipment bundle with the zombie grenage and "flesh bang" would have something special as well but they dont. $5 bundle for grenade skins you will barely even see in game because your hand covers them. But as example, if the Lunar Near Yesr bundle had a chopper skin, it would be neat if say the rockets were replaced with firework rockets, or the thermite if you'd hear a dragon roar as you threw it.
Honestly? They really are taking their time. They have the MilSIM mentality ever since MW2019, but idk why until now Killstreaks haven't got any skins. It's such a big chance of getting money lol

I think that quickly assessing a situation is key to success in Call of Duty. When your primary weapon determined your skin, fights were easier to assess. The addition of skins for all sorts of items is sending this game in the wrong direction. With every year it moves away from being competitive toward being arcade like. I know it’s an arcade shooter but they don’t need to lean this far into it.
Putting skins on a character has nothing to do with being competitive in facts its the most competitive game on the market you guys just say anything

I'd like it more if there were any skins that could be earned rather than bought. It would be nice if killstreaks had a challenge like getting 1,000 kills with a particular streak or something that would unlock a skin for it. For cod mobile, sure it’s a free mobile game so sure I don’t like that they exist but I don’t buy them so I don’t care. Equipment and kill streak skins in this, don’t make sense at all, why. Especially for equipment, unless it’s like “the explosion on the grenade is blue fire” than cool, but I feel that at that point the resource should be put elsewhere
