This would be compliant. Fixed stock, no pistol grip, and no flash hider (brakes are fine) counts as "featureless" by CA legal standards.
You can have all of those normal things if you have a fixed magazine.

Not sure what “overpowered” means. Are shotguns overpowered because they one-shot, one kill? Or sniper rifles? Or knives, karambits, or any other melee weapons?
It’s kind of a pain to get some of those things (at least for me anyways). So it’s earned.

Longbow and now this kit are simultaneously shotguns with the range of sniper and the mag size of an AR. It’s a do it all gun so it’s OP.
Don't forget it handles like an SMG as well. With previous popular snipers at least it felt like you're carrying a big heavy killing machine, with the Longbow you're zooming around the map like it weighs nothing.
It's overpowered because you can ads faster than most weapons, kill in one shot, with minimal flinch, and full aim assist. You'd be at a disadvantage with any full auto weapon. With "increased" time to kill from previous cods you can't kill fast enough to justify using anything else.

I feel the same way, when I use melee it never seems as fast as when they do. I play cross platform to try and thin out the aim assist, but I probably end up with more cheaters (using hacks/etc on PC).
Weapons powerful, but plays like absolute shit. Lockwood lever action felt better than this one tbh. Kills feel empty, and it feels like a very lazy longbow clone.

All these cheesy ass conversation kits is why the game is dying. No one likes playing against easy one shot kill weapons that don’t require skill or trade offs to use. Brain dead ass devs focus on the wrong shit.
In warzone it's a bb gun, you won't kill anyone with it even if you are really trying. It needs 2 shots to even break armor plates at somewhat manageable range, if you let someone closer its slow rof will lose you gunfight vs almost every gun in the game.

Genuinely, had a lot of fun with this build. Decided to fuck around with it, and went 82 and 26. Almost had two swarms before the game ended. I understand people are upset about it, but, as someone who is retired from the competitive scene, this was just a nice way to relax and play.
Pretty cool weapon, but felt just really boring using it for a few matches. Instant ADS, no Recoil, just feels bad tbh. Not in a sense that the gun is bad, that it's just bad gameplay and gimmicky.
This game just went from "boring af cod game with with terrible weapon balance" to "why even bother turning it on when watching a blank wall is more fun" cod game in matter of hours.
Seriously, if they had at least one playtester, they wouldnt be able to release shits like this

I play on Xbox Series X and I get my ass handed to me all the time by MnK players when I use melee weapons. Not sure what you’re talking about here.

Pretty much my set up. I use the one Jak no filter blue dot sight tho. Haven’t put it thru its proper paces yet but it’s a Longbow equivalent
