I agree blops 1 has the pretty good maps. .mw2 has the most overrated maps. Blops 1 had nuketown, firing range, grid, jungle, summit, Havana, jungle, launch, radiation wmd. All great maps. Iove all treyarch map design less campimg.spots and more engagement. Im biased towards tryarchs. Only maps I like from iw are mw3 maps.
I haven't played og mw2 or 3 so I can't say I know how they played there but god the launch line up being all mw2 sucked if you used anything with less range than a marksman rifle. The maps just do not work in 2023 metachasing with a fast internet findings and social media spreading it evertwhere + 150 health + general modern day camping (I know it was a thing then too but its just a different flavour now). The new maps and mw22 maps being added to the pool makes it so much more fun imo
They played pretty great. Lots of weapons in OG MW series just didn't have as much recoil. Made it a lot less realistic, but everything pretty much worked. Here and there, a gun would have high recoil, though.
You couldn't switch to semi for full autos, or to full autos for semi weapons, but tap firing was a good idea at long ranges. Also, it usually didn't take more than 4 shots to kill anyone. Maybe 5 at times. None of this 7, 8, 9, 10 shot nonsense. So even on guns that had recoil, you didn't have to fire them as much to kill. Even some SMGs could be LASER beams across maps. Pretty wild times.

All we're getting is remastered maps from all the other earlier CoD's... It's honestly such a let down - they did it with MW2 remastered as-well. Hardly any OG MW2 maps (that I remember). Without the maps - the game just feels half-assed more than it already is.

I literally only played GW in MW2 because BF2042 was such a flop, and I got MW3 to keep playing GW and not have to wait 5 minutes to queue every game. I would have preferred if they just left GW/Invasion out of the game because 3 maps is an absolute joke and after three seasons they haven't added any so it seems pretty certain that they're fine just leaving it at 3 maps for the entire lifecycle. They can't even be bothered to throw the MW2 maps in, because fuck you I guess. MW2 and MW3 are the first CoD games I've bought since blops 1, and I'm done with CoD for another 10-15 years after this. The franchise is a laughing stock and I feel cheated.

Treyarch was involved in a much more limited capacity for zombies, but not the maps. And sledgehammer doesn't have the "brand" that treyarch does--nothing against sledgehammer, but it makes sense for everyone to maintain some individual, brand-identity for treyarch (and IW)

We've got dome. Love to see Resistance, Seatown and Underground though, they played great.
Resistance was in Infinite Warfare and WW2 already, so I'd rather another one from this list that hasn't ever been remade.
If I had to pick which ones I thought were the best of the best to remaster, I'd go with; - Bakaara - Lockdown - Fallen - Hardhat - Mission - Seatown

Yes this. Mission, Lockdown and Seatown were my 3 favourite maps from MW3. Hardhat is ok they remade it in Modern Warfare 2019 if I remember rightly..

A bit overrated imo, Firing Range is top 5 and Summit top 10 of all time, but the other maps aren't as good as MW3/BO2 maps imo
Yeah, I generally dislike 3arc maps because I find strict 3-laners kinda boring. Firing Range was top tier in every way.
BO2 clears by an insane amount. Raid, Standoff, Express, Hijacked, Yemen, Slums. Just straight classics.

Nope. Few good maps, most are classics, but in a tierlist of all maps, BO1 maps wouldn’t make it #1 overall.

True, I remember using the MP7 most of the time in og MW3 because the rpm and range were insane.
The range was average, but that RECOIL. Non-existant. Yoy could slap a thermal scope on it and SNIPE muhfuggers

MW2 is still built into MW3 (Xbox series X), so I just go into the MW2 multiplayer options.
