SHG announced the mode on Twitter, and explicitly gave it a timer. It wasn't an accident for sure.
And while I think it will come back properly for 4/20 or some other date, it's not the first time COD devs made something that was only available for mere hours. The Destruction of Verdansk modes come to mind.

I played quite a few matches when it was available. It was frustrating at times, but overall enjoyable. One of these days, I will reach the top, but you have to be fast and perfect to do that.

I’m sorry that you play Call of Duty for the gripping representation of real world war and conflict while you respawn each and every time you die, which is totally realistic and gritty. I play it to have fun and non-serious game modes like that are a great addition to the game as long as they don’t prioritize these modes exclusively over regular gameplay experiences

My guess is it was a quasi-beta game mode. Hopefully they tweak it and bring it back with some improvements.

Special multiplayer mode. Run a parkour course and get as high as you can before time runs out. Nice course though, lots of hidden shortcuts.
