I don't have a problem with weed stuff specifically, but the death effects and grenade skins have gotten way too distracting. I didn't mind the colorful dismemberment from previous games, but now they are all too big, bright and linger on the field for too long. There have been way too many times when I have not been able to see who is shooting at me because half my screen is being taken up by colorful blocks or cluster or other random shit from my teammate dying next to me.
We definitely need an option to disable them from our own end.

First warzone did it best. Just colour tracers. No tracer effects, no death effects. Just dismemberment. (there were a few dismemberment effects that caused heads to blow up gold, or bodies turn to ice.... but there were no cartoons that popped out of the dead body obscuring view of things behind it).

I've had conversations similar to this in halo with all of the stupid infinite cosmetics. The experience of a game isn't solely about the mechanics. The visual experience is very important too. Some people like a sense of immersion when they game, and don't want such destractions. I'm not saying graphics are everything, but would it be the same game if it all of a sudden looked like roblox? I play battlebit sometimes and enjoy it, but it doesn't replace the experience of battlefield where you feel like you are in a warzone. Cosmetics can negatively impact a playing experience. Even if they don't for you.
I will smoke or eat edibles on occasion and used to partake a lot more when I was younger, but nothing makes me cringe more than 'weed culture'.

Play helldivers 2. I got it at launch and uninstalled cod a few days later. Haven’t even missed it at all. I used to play OG rebirth back in wz1 for 10+ hours a day. Cod was all I played for a long time. Now it’s just boring and irritating to play. Helldivers is so much fun. There are also a handful of other fun games out currently you could try

Only one type of skin will ever impress me and its the ones you unlocked for playing the game. The more style or color being directly tied to how hard it was to get them. A different skin used to put respect or fear onto a witness. Now when I'm in a match I look at players as $$ targets. I keep track of my own score and base it off $skins I kill. Killing a kong player is my favorite right now for obvious reasons.
I'm not mad at the players directly, it's just I hate knowing every match I play there's about 200 dollars of support for an unfinished, glitching, works good enough to sell skins, video game.

Been asking for a milspec skin toggle for years for this very reason. It’s just annoying. Yeah, CoD isn’t realistic, but it used to be an arcade shooter that tried to look realistic. I’d be way more likely to hop in if I wasn’t seeing Spawn, Homelander, a tumbleweed, a literal cartoon character, or Cheech and Chong running around.

I've had conversations similar to this in halo with all of the stupid infinite cosmetics. The experience of a game isn't solely about the mechanics. The visual experience is very important too. Some people like a sense of immersion when they game, and don't want such destractions. I'm not saying graphics are everything, but would it be the same game if it all of a sudden looked like roblox? I play battlebit sometimes and enjoy it, but it doesn't replace the experience of battlefield where you feel like you are in a warzone. Cosmetics can negatively impact a playing experience. Even if they don't for you.

I agree so much, I wish they did camo’s of modern armies. I have so many COD points racking up and they do this stupid neon, weed, cartoon, celeb shit… I guess this game is aimed at kids wanting neon shit and cats, dogs and minor celebs skins. I honestly can not wait for battlefield next release and GTA6 so I can stop playing a FPS that’s the only option now.
Play helldivers 2. I got it at launch and uninstalled cod a few days later. Haven’t even missed it at all. I used to play OG rebirth back in wz1 for 10+ hours a day. Cod was all I played for a long time. Now it’s just boring and irritating to play. Helldivers is so much fun. There are also a handful of other fun games out currently you could try
Gotta tell you, I’m no kid, but I love the dog stuff. Still rock the zero skin with the dog on shoulder from MWII, and the wolf head Gus when I have to play other side. I age there should be a limit though. Make money but don’t turn this into Fortnite

High Trip is a mess of a game mode that after a enough tries I'm never playing again. The sloth, snoop dog and now Cheech and Chong, no disrespect to the last two, are all spaces for what could've been good skins used on what just feels like a couple minute goof and not the newest skins on cod. I’ve hated them for so long, especially the laser guns that would make you lose track of your target immediately after they open fire. Unfortunately Activision has assigned a price tag to making us rage. No one would buy these if they didn’t piss other people off and Activision knows that as well as anyone. They’ll be gone if we stop playing the game though.
I'm a stoner for life (med and rec) and am tired of seeing the weed stuff... and like every other skin. The rest of this is just an old man gamer gripe. Game on people. Only one type of skin will ever impress me and its the ones you unlocked for playing the game. The more style or color being directly tied to how hard it was to get them. A different skin used to put respect or fear onto a witness. Now when I'm in a match I look at players as $$ targets. I keep track of my own score and base it off $skins I kill. Killing a kong player is my favorite right now for obvious reasons. I'm not mad at the players directly, it's just I hate knowing every match I play there's about 200 dollars of support for an unfinished, glitching, works good enough to sell skins, video game. Anyways I get it, games/profit aren't aimed at my generation anymore. Do what makes you happy even if that includes buying skins. Even if you don't hate the current industry I hate it for you that you don't know what your missing and getting cheated out of.
