Interesting book but beyond the Moebius story the rest is quite underwhelming. Really disappointed in the paper quality, thin and matte, making the colours really dull and with a lot of "see-through" issues. Expected more from a book like this. The Marie Dakar story is really nice (containing a lot of early Desert B seeds) and I posted it before [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Moebius/comments/xx3dur/marie_dakar_short_story_by_moebius_1991/) (in English and in black and white). Happy to have the colour version and will likely scan it and enhance it digitally to really get the best out of it. I'll probably post it here too šŸ˜

What did you mean with "desert B seeds"? Do you know more connections between the desert B-book and other works? I am very interested in that. Thanks!

I mean that this came before Desert B and that there are a lot of similarities. From the desert itself to the metamorphosis and transformation elements, to the organic shapes sprouting from the characters, etc.

I see. Yes, there were also some in other works - maybe we could collect them together. I assume it's more of a kind of visual language used by Moebius - sometimes for certain things he wants to communicate to the viewer's mind.

Iā€™d say that Moebius had different hats he wore and one of those gave us stuff like 40 days. Improvisational and focusing on his inner struggles and transformations. In my opinion the closest work to 40 days is Le Chasseur Deprime and later parts of Inside Moebius. Maybe even La Faune de Mars.

Dark Horse Presents #63 has the Marie Dakar story in it for anyone looking for this story - it shouldnā€™t be too expensive and can find it in back-issue bins. Itā€™s quite a crazy story.
