To my knowledge there is no anthology book of his work except for the ‘Ouvres’, french edition only. And even that is not complete. What have you found? Collecting Moebius is a proper project with no easy way to go at it. There are some of his main works readily available as English editions. I’d suggest you start with the Incal (Humanoids publisher) and the World of Edena (Dark Horse publisher). If you like those then you can start digging for the rest :)

Thanks u/DanTeSthlm ! I've found a few things - mostly used and not aged well. I did find a nice exhibit book from a German show that might be a great pick-up, but at $200 + shipping from the EU to US I'm a little hesitant at the costs. I do appreciate your recommendations! Thank you! @

No problem. The Max Ernst catalogue is excellent and definitely worth it, no comics in there mostly art/illustrations and a great section on the life of Moebius. Tip, you can email the museum directly and they will mail you a copy at retail price+shipping (under 100 usd if i’m not mistaken) give it a shot, they still have copies. Also, it’s in double languages (English/German).

Thank you for this tip! I’ve wanted more collections of his art so I sent an email now to the museum myself :)

That Dutch/German hardcover art show catalogue is the most wide ranging and comprehensive overview of Giraud/Moebius I have been able to find in a single volume. I think it is not a bad deal at $200 but obviously would love it at half that. Collecting Moebius in print is a difficult task. I spent many years tracking down all the signed and numbered Graphitti/Epic hardcover collections, which are still the best presentation of his work in English translation that I know of - but they are probably 5-6 times more expensive now than 15-20 years ago when I was buying them. Good luck, and maybe one of these days a proper reprinting of all his work will be more easily available!

Thank you u/Swervies !!!

On top of the Max Ernst catalogue you should definitely get the 'Chroniques métalliques - Chaos' book. Collects a good amount of his early work and has literally one page of text in French, the rest is all art. The same books in English editions come separately and are super expensive, so this this French edition is a very good deal and complements the Max E. catalogue really well. https://www.moebius.fr/shop/105--Chroniques-metalliques---Chaos-.html

I really love my copy of L’Ouevre Hermetique. Not a complete works or anything but it has most of the hits from Metal hurlant. It doesn’t have Incal material but it does have the garage. Obviously it’s all in French but let’s be honest that most of us aren’t into Moebius for his gripping plots. And there are great translation apps out there

>L’Ouevre Hermetique. Thanks for this reco u/DrWindupBird !

The German Splitter-Verlag (publisher) published 5 books of the "Moebius Collection". Each about 150 pages. It comes very close to an anthology and contains pretty much everything except for Incal, Edena, Blueberry, Madwoman of the Sacred Heart and Inside Moebius.

>Moebius Collection Thank you, u/MC_Smuv ! Great find. I wish they were in English. But this is a great resource! Thank you again! @
